😅 the dealer pins came right off my 08 Nissan rouge slawd I purchased the car used from sandsprings Oklahoma Chevrolet. In 11 well my parents did. I just bought the car this year back from insurance due to front end.
I’d recommend using only the fishing line. I’ve had to remove dents from several cars from customers using a plastic tool to pry the letters off. With the much thinner metal on modern cars, it’s become much easier to make small sharp dents when doing it this way.
My brother you are crazy i just finish detailing my SUV when I started to watch your channel I thought ok the guy is tapping around the emblem than the shovel that's funny🤣🤣🤣can't stop rewinding it to watch it.
Plastic trim tools will scratch paintwork too, and if you need to do any leverage they can leave small dings as well. And all that pinstripe removal wheel did was spread the glue further. Would not recommend
Debadging a Chrysler isn’t enough. You then need to replace all the body panels, lights, electronics, interior, suspension, steering, engine and transmission. Once you’ve replaced all that with something like Toyota parts then you’ll have a nice reliable car.

Ahhhh! I 2016 Nissan Altima had some trunk damage a few weeks ago, when someone backed into me in a parking lot. Took it to a certified collision shop, got a OEM trunk and all. When I got the call to pick up my car, i headed over signing some paperwork, and the first thing I noticed when they pulled my car up was the name plates "Altima SR" was misplaced on the trunk. Instead of being above each rear tail light, they placed it on the bottom of the trunk very close to the rear bumper. SMH! They had to order new name plates and still waiting to get in for that to be corrected. After watching this video, I was relieved at how simple this was without ruining paint. That was the first thing the head specialist was telling me that was more likey to happen and possibly replacing trunk again. BS! Didn't want to admit the error.
What about those stickers that dealers put on a car? The stickers are the name of the dealer. Nobody wants to have that on their car, and provide a free advertisement for the dealer.
I have the opposite problem Asked the dealer to glue an emblem back on my sister's car after it fell down, and they kept gluing it and it kept falling off after a while, for several times.. Any tips?
+Farhan Syed Thanks for watching! The dealer would likely charge you if you removed the badges on a leased vehicle. Removing dealer stickers shouldn't be a problem, as they can just apply a new one. You can always give them a call to see what their policies are regarding badges, stickers etc.
+Kevin Nelson Thanks for watching! You can use some of the same techniques shown in the video, but since it is a sticker it should come of fairly easily!
Wow, a dealer that still uses stickers? What is it, 1970? If they cant go with license plate frame logo, find another dealer. You put permanent signage in my car, you're gonna have to pay me as a traveling billboard.
So basically, just use fishing line and the adhesive remover. That drill tool will only smear the adhesive and make the job longer. Another tip, don't buy a dodge product. lol
oooo garry that heat gun for absolute beginner is a no no , they will ruin the paint (thats me) i will with patience go with the hair dryer and the fishing wire as i have about 15 2 " letters to remove . Its virtually a new car so i guess the glue is gonna be bit harder to loosen/ remove than a older vehicle. Will have to ask a customising firm for a recommended glue remover .
I removed the lettering off my maroon red Accord and now you can see a shadow where the letters used to be. Looks way better with the lettering gone but now, due to fade, you can still see the lettering 😭😭

Wow that was quick and easy. I tried it on my lexus and worked. I didnt have that type of shovel so I just used an axe
😅 the dealer pins came right off my 08 Nissan rouge slawd I purchased the car used from sandsprings Oklahoma Chevrolet. In 11 well my parents did. I just bought the car this year back from insurance due to front end.
😂🤣😂😂
You can axe your boss for the day off!
I never thought of using an axe...
I used my jack hammer
That shovel trick worked like a charm, I tested it out on my wife’s car first tho just to make sure I didn’t make any mistakes 👍🏾
🤣🤣🤣
Dude that was golden! I totally didn’t expect you to bust it with a shovel after taking the time & care to apply masking tape to protect the paint
🤘🤣✊
overall impressive development in 1A video style over the years
I’d recommend using only the fishing line.

Now no one knows you own a Chrysler. I think that's the real win in this one. Haha

Fishing line is the way to go.
I've removed a lot of emblems using this method.
Plastic trim tools will scratch paintwork too, and if you need to do any leverage they can leave small dings as well. And all that pinstripe removal wheel did was spread the glue further. Would not recommend
plastic razor blades are the best for scraping it off, goo gone works great on the cleanup too
I use a heat gun. I loved the shovel one. Thank you for the laugh. I needed it.
Oh man you guys have the most catching intros (and hilarious too!!). Time well spent, learned alot!
Shoot i stopped the vid before he said dont do it that way. Now my car is scratched up.

What brand of adhesive remover did you use
I like the shovel method. AWESOME!

I found the Sebring slam near the start of the video to be funny because it was a true statement sadly. Lol. Thanks for another great video!!
I wonder if GOO GONE would remove adhesive better?🤔
I remember seeing then make a prank DIY on fb of how to debadge your car lol. Dude used a shovel to take the badge out
That Chrysler looks good without any badges!
Good intro! Caught my attention right away

Shovel was hilarious!
Fishing line is the best beat and WD40 for the Residue left behind

If I had a Dodge emblem on my truck...I would want to remove it too!
That beginning was perfect !!! 😂
Lol, 😂 hilarious start... Great tips!!
Heat gun, dental floss, 3m adhesive remover, plastic razor blade, polish.
Goo gone works great on adhesive removal. Just take your time.
What about naphtha, like ronsonal or zippo lighter fluid? or would that just eat the paint?
Scratched your dodge. It does.look better tho. Gonna go try that.
Today I fixed the fan and followed the same steps that I did in the video so thank you very much for this explanation
you mean the shovel?
De badge looks clean 👍
This guy is funny . good stuff
The homor in this one was top notch ngl
I used a fork and now have some neat vent holes.
This is my favorite car video guy
You cracked me up with the shovel!! Awesome.
My trailblazer is missing the emblem at the front grille all you see is the adhesive that was used.
I clicked after I saw that shovel working.
any home mechanic should have 1A Auto subscription, great video and really helpful 😎thank you!
Was that car any better after removing the emblems? Doubtful, but had to ask.
Couldn't find a shovel...used a spade instead..
I'm pretty good with my one blade that I used never dug into the paint and yet for stubborn ones I have a plastic blade as well ..
Nice video! I have a question.. Do you think if we remove the chrome side accents of the vitara 2021 the door panels are smooth and flat? Tia!
Heavy test fishing line works good
Okay you got me, I thought you were serious with the shovel.
And I thought my way of heating up the badge, lifting it up with dental floss and cleaning the area with googone was brutal. 🤣
I used a sledgehammer worked great
I thought you would use dental floss for the cars number plate as it is the cars teeth 😁
You got me with the intro!!!!
Smart tips
That’s ok, I’m going to wrap it!
I just use the rubber wheel like a giant eraser instead of using the drill. Much safer on the paint than the drill.
What about those stickers that dealers put on a car? The stickers are the name of the dealer. Nobody wants to have that on their car, and provide a free advertisement for the dealer.
Years ago plastic tools was not an option.. I have seen many shops use razor blades.. ..
A very elegant method lol!
Metal putty knife and a heat gun only apply heat to blade rock gently minimal pressure off like butter
Or use a pressure washer.
I have the opposite problem
Asked the dealer to glue an emblem back on my sister's car after it fell down, and they kept gluing it and it kept falling off after a while, for several times..
Any tips?
You ever try JB weld?
I have some holding a volvo front emblem for the past 2 and a half years and it's still going strong.
Just gotta make sure to scratch the surface you are gluing on.
3m vhb tape works great
LOL! OK, I can see where there is some healthy competition starting up between a couple of the 'hosts'. Thats called 'Owning it' in Mgmt. speak.
Seems like the adhesive remover is your best bet
Has anyone try using gas for the adhesive?
I like the first way you do it
Michael Scott owned one of these.
Was definitely not expecting this 🤣
Can't show this to my son because he seldom waits for part two of the instructions.
Great opening.
Saves you the embarrassment of owning a Chrysler
Myself I would have used an air hammer with a blade attachment ...that way the air will do the work instead of moving the shovel.
My mouth dropped at the beginning 😂
Hilarious intro! Good job.😂
I lost it in the beginning 😂
great opening
Let your vehicle sit out in the 90 to 100 degree sun for a an hour or so then pull it off.
+NeverGone14 Thanks for the tip!
What If someone does it to a leased car? Will the dealer have a problem?
+Farhan Syed Thanks for watching! The dealer would likely charge you if you removed the badges on a leased vehicle. Removing dealer stickers shouldn't be a problem, as they can just apply a new one. You can always give them a call to see what their policies are regarding badges, stickers etc.
So how do you remove the dealership stickers?
+Kevin Nelson Thanks for watching! You can use some of the same techniques shown in the video, but since it is a sticker it should come of fairly easily!
@@1AAuto thank you
Hair dryer and plastic razor/scraper.

+stevealaska73 Thanks for the feedback!
Yea, use the shovel method
What about removing ghosting of the emblems from the paint. Sun fade of the paint around the emblems will make it look like you removed them.
+HFVidShotz Thanks for the feedback!
I didn't even get past the shovel scraping the paint before I had to thumb this up.
I still had like an shadowing around where the letters were. Underneath the letters it was Way more glossy.
The 6 thumbs down are Sebring owners.
Lol! 🤣
Up to 20 angry Sebring owners now😂
Hey thanks heaps for this.
Can i use a machete
oooo garry that heat gun for absolute beginner is a no no , they will ruin the paint (thats me)

Thanks it worked
What kind of disk/wheel is that? 🤔
I removed the lettering off my maroon red Accord and now you can see a shadow where the letters used to be. Looks way better with the lettering gone but now, due to fade, you can still see the lettering 😭😭
That intro! 😂 😂😂😂
