That’s coming along nicely, the air box seemed a bit hard to refit! I’m surprised you didn’t fit air pods but original is best, don’t want to upset the carbs 😀 The wiring loom should be so easy 👍
Thanks for the comment. Yea the loom was easy to install (done now). Not a fan of air pods, I prefer to keep things as stock as possible, but yea, it was a huge PITA to install that air box.
Really like the videos on this one , have the same in my garage. Was looking specifically on how the handlebars are removed to see how you did it, i can not figure out how to get them off because of the retainer ring. Do you have any tips?
I removed the 2 rusty bolts from the top of the airbox and looking to replace them. On the inside though they where covered in plastic. If I install stainless steel ones do you think it will be an issue ?
Hi there ! I'd guess the the bolts are covered in plastic so that if they come loose they can fall out and get sucked into the carb throats. You'd have to be careful on messing with those. if they came loos and got sucked in, it would be a disaster. re your other air box. IDK, id have to see it. you could try it and see how it runs, just make sure its not running too lean etc with a more open air box.

Just pop the retaining rings off the fork tops and then unbolt the handlebars and they will slide off the top
