Customer paying an hour for your electrical expert help is money well spent… Logical Diagnostics great to see, rather than just mechanics who are part changers…cracking job
I remember when this type of tech surfaced many years ago. A lot of mechanics could not afford the tech(thousands) so moved onto other trades, (no topdon).... Information on circuits was hard to find..... This young lad shows us with the right tools and information... An easy fix... Well done lad.... Always good to learn more 👍
I always start logically at the beginning like urself instead of jumping in then another mech in the garage comes over and says I've checked that mate, always trust ur own judgement by starting at the beginning n never take anyone's word for it just because it upsets them....Nice job mate love it...
As a gas engineer that works on gas engines. I agree with your statement. Start at the beginning then work your way through it. It’s to easy to jump ahead and miss the problem. Great video 👍
You deserve many more thousands of subs. Can you do a vlog about yourself how you came to be so skilled. I cant even follow your logic but mesmerising indeed. Lovely to see such a competent calm pro. I thought Suzukis were very reliable. I own a 17 yrs old petrol car which so far totally reliable to date but I maintain it as a diyer. I am very scared about owning a newer car
Thanks for this informative video, I'm 48 years old and I've worked as a mechanic since I left school but I need to learn more electronics and electrical diagnostics with these newer vehicles. Thanks again. 👍
Great diagnosis of engine issue. I had a vehicle that spent multiple visits to the dealership, under warranty, where they stripped-down the gearbox but could not find the fault. A straight swap would cost £1,000. Final gearbox bill nearly £4,000!
Very nice work, paying a professional for he’s years of training and experience is well spent, but finding people like you is difficult, keep it up mate
Ryan, love your diagnostic videos, totally agree with working to a method in fault finding. The wiring diagrams are a game changer. I see what you mean about being a right pain to find the hgs data service, I still can't find it. With videos like this you'll smash the 10k mark. Keep them coming, very professional job. All the best. 👍👍
Being a old school mechanic when cars were far more reliable and you could always get them running and find out in 5 minutes why it’s not starting,ie points plugs coil ht leads condencer fuel pump etc etc etc ,it’s just a nightmare trying to find a fault on modern cars ,you could go to the end of the world in a older car , no electronics to let you down at any moment
I am an old timer - I used to drive around in the old ‘reliable cars’ - I used to have a socket set in the boot together with a collection of other tools, spare fan belt, spare set of points, couple of spare sparking plugs, a bunch of wraps a sheet of cardboard to lay on, a pot of swarfega, small container of engine oil, I gallon of water - just to be prepared. To be honest in the olden days if the car did not start it was no great surprise and I would go through the usual fault finding routine, whereas with these modern cars with all the electronics does not start - I would be absolutely gobsmacked. PS: In my modern ‘unreliable’ car - I do not even carry a screwdriver in the boot.
Great video again Ryan and I absolutely agree with your methodology and that is the only way to teach others to conduct diagnostic routines, but there are subtle deviations for the more practiced and experienced.😉 Could you give more details on the service you access to pull up the drawings? Keep up the good work.😀👍
Another good insight into your diagnostic work Ryan, definietly worth paying someone like yourself the hourly rate to find the issues and fix them in this case.
Great diagnostic video, I loved it, you make it seem so easy, I'm terrible at wiring, but I'm learning watching your step by step videos, keep them coming 🙌👍
Where would hobbyists get wiring diagrams? Other than from forums or enthusiast groups. I work on my own and my freinds cars and am learning but this seems to be a slight barrier on some "Jobs".
@@mrautoservices7354I’ve been looking into Hella hgs but can’t find any pricing info. How much is the subscription for that. Seems a lot clearer than Haynes pro
@@mrautoservices7354 thanks for reply , since they have gone online subscription they have cancelled the DIYer, used to be written and was available , they killed that , you used to be able to buy a workshop manual for your car that included everything even wireing diagrams , the crap available today for the DIYer is very poor, rant over !!
Not a criticism but testing for 12v on those 2 blue wires with the ecu connector disconnected wasn't the correct test. The ground control for the relay k04 was also on that same connector, so if the relay had been ok you still wouldn't have had 12v on either wire as it was open circuit which may have led to an incorrect diagnosis. I am sure you were aware of this just something to maybe point out in future videos. Keep up the good work!

And that ladies and gentlemen, is why you pay a professional to diagnose your car. Another great video Ryan, keep them coming!
Thanks Phil 👍

Agreed Roddy its the only way in my opinion
Cheers 👍
A logical approach to fault finding. Well worth the customer paying for your one hour assessment. 👏👏👏

Love the video. I'm slowly getting my head round electrical diagnosis and your videos are helping
Your way you get it right every time! Nice job.

Well done . I love doing problem solving on cars but you take it to another level, very informative thank you ...
Thanks 👍
Ryan great video as usual , I use a pair of relay removal pliers , a godsend in the winter with tight relays - Amazon 7.99
Great diagnostic video, I loved it, you make it seem so easy, I'm terrible at wiring, but I'm learning watching your step by step videos, keep them coming 🙌👍
Thanks Phil, Wiring is easy once broken down on the schematic but i agree sometimes it can be daunting 👍
Cheersnfor watching
Thanks for the in depth video. Please make more of these.
More to come for sure 👍👍
Well impressed. So impressed, I've subscribed

Wish you good luck
It's roasting today...20deg hehehe that made me crack a smile
Another great video
Surely you are a wizard?
Nice video. You'd make a great younger version WWII's Austrian painter
Maybe one day 🤣👍
A good car guy always carries a quick detailer 😂
Agreed Kris, Microfibres and detail spray is a must 🤣👍👍
the wiring diagram is essential
Top man
I love your method of working Ryan but the camera work on this video spun my noggin to say the least.
Hi charlie, Still getting used to this new camera it will take time 👍
Thanks for tuning in
Subbed for you. 👍

Hmm. What causes the relay to go bad ?
👍💙💙

Who do you use for wiring diagrams
Hella hgs 👍

Hgs data ,where do you get that from
Need to contact hgs direct, Its a pain but worth it
The cost for an online data system nowadays is criminal , they do not cater for the serious DIYer , they don't care in the UK !!
Agreed, I do this stuff daily so it makes sense to spend alot on information as without it i would be misdiagnosing things

Test light was the earth so the test is valid.
I can't see where this was done in the video and mentioned?
When you watch a video of someone who knows what he is doing,
makes you wish Star Trek Transporter was a real thing to get him to your ends 😂😂😂
What was up with the radar?
Radar was disabled due to the no communication concern with the engine managment. Once roadtested the light went out 👍
Didn’t you mean to take the eight minutes off your diagnostic time, you weren’t diagnosing, just logging on to HSG?
Charging the customer for signing in Do me a favour bit steep
Do me a favour and dont watch 🤣
Only just discovered this channel but loving the content. Wish @topdon would send you their oscilloscope, keen to see that in action
Hopefully soon Craig 👀 Thanks for tuning in 👌
10k subscriber giveaway topdon x link 😂😂
So you spent 1 hour Garage time with changing to a used RELAY and therefore the other one is broken. Amazing
BUT YET YOU STILL WATCHED 😛 THANKS FOR WATCHING 👌
@@mrautoservices7354 I 'll funding you by watching because it makes you more than your Garage fixes LOL.
