I`m also for the Gerald Albright Front F tutorial. Many times I hear something in a solo, but I can't figure out what exactly it is. It would be very great to learn more about this and the technique behind it. 😊😊😊
@@MattCouzensMusic possibly, but articulation is done with the tongue, and applies across the horn. These are specific key-based ways to change pitches.
@@Osnosis I'm using it as an articulation (a way to affect the sound of the beginning of a note). If I were using it as a false fingering I would just hold the note. I guess it could also be thought of as an embellishment.
Scott., Been following you for a while, l have been playing sax for about 2 years on and off… lm a rock / Pop layer, l here you do Skype lesson?? If so l am very interested… PM me and see if can work something out.. oh lm in Australia 🇦🇺 so we will have to work out timing the lessons?? mark
Are you talking about this articulation or your sax sound in general? For articulations, some are just easier on different saxophones. For sound overall, some saxes are just a better fit. I had a high school student who struggled for a couple years to get a good clean sound, his band director switched him to tenor and he sounded amazing on the first try. If the tenor is a better fit, go with it!
@@ScottPaddock I am talking sound. I had a Bundy and an Antigua alto and didn’t care for my sound on either. I was happy right away with my sound on soprano and recently my tenor. I didn’t ever really play around with mouthpiece reed combos though so perhaps I will revisit it someday.

Бди-БДИ? Красивая Фонемика
My alto sound never got anywhere near this....I jumped to a Tenor and the sound I want immediately comes out of the horn. Don't get it.
