Yep. As a fan since the Jon Pertwee era, I started to tune out during the Matt Smith era where the obnoxious Amy Pond and her castrated eunuch pet took center stage. By the time Capaldi cane around, I was fully checked out. I never made it to the Whitaker episodes.

And now, the latest story reveals these groups are extorting game companies for millions of dollars. When you understand that Sweet Baby is a group propped up, you can guess the ones who prop them up also get some kickbacks.
These productions are full of activists who want to push The Message. They genuinely believe that Western civilization is irredeemably awful and needs to be reformed, and even the traditional art forms reflect the old colonizers' oppressive ways. So they're completely on board with using a show as an elaborate vehicle to deliver their political propaganda. And if the BBC or Disney or whatever is ruined? It's an oppressive corporation that promotes the corrupt ideology of capitalism; they have no problem if it's destroyed in the process.

No, not really. There is no such thing as free money from BlackRock or Vanguard. People simply underestimate how much money Disney earns with the parks. Reality is that Disney is paying down debt and finances its Disney+ and cinema losses with a combination of money from the parks and no longer paying a proper dividend.
Yes, Disney may lose 1 billion through movies and another billion for Disney+ a year, but it earns 8+ billions in the parks every year.
It’s also why Disney isn’t changing course, they can afford the losses and aren’t facing enough pressure from the investors to replace the CEO Bob Iger.

In that one they didn't just go musical they went full theater.

Adding twerking, gay kissing and girlie clothes for men, then bragging about it in the media, THEN coming out to insult the fans(?), telling them NOT to watch your show CANNOT result in better numbers 'over time'.

Not only are they losing old fans, they aren't actually gaining many new ones. Zoomers and young Millennials aren't really watching Disney Who or Disney Star Wars. It's just a small cadre of weirdos who watch for a while because it ticks their ideological boxes and pisses off the old fans by destroying what they love, plus a small number of old fans hanging onto a futile hope that it just _might_ get better, and finally the hate watchers, who *really need to stop.* They bitch about shows being crap but turn around and inflate the numbers by hate watching.
I have never understood why anyone would hate watch something anyway. I watch something because I hope I will enjoy it, not to wallow in my hatred of it. That's not enjoyable at all.

Young MIillenials and older Gen Zs grew up watching the 2005 reboot. As an older Gen Z myself, who has been watching Dr Who since Christopher Eccleston, the show died with Caplaldi. I don't know what this new show is, but it is not Dr. who that's for damn sure.

There are still people under 30 that watch TV and I think the thing is that far less of them have tuned out then the people who remember old good Doctor Who.
So yeah, I believe that the percentage of people under 30 indeed have grown. I doubt the actual number is better though.
The only thing this show has going for Disney is that it makes the Acolyte look good in comparison, both in numbers and quality. The Acolyte is bad but this is the worst.
Funny thing about the female audience, if the story is good and men like it, chances are a woman will too! My dad loved Indiana Jones and Raiders of the Lost Ark i inturn love Indiana Jones.

Find the original series of the BBC drama Waterloo Road and just watch the first season. Then try to watch an episode or two from season 11.
The original run ran from 2005 to 2015 and it returned in January 2023 only now it deals with kids with problems with their sexuality and their “pronouns”.
Never had that crap in the show 18 years ago.

Puzzled why TV producers are always chasing the 'younger viewers' when they are out, watching TH-cam, playing Video Games, watching Netflix. Whereas the elderly are more likely to be housebound, wedded to broadcast TV and recognisable formats.

I love musicals, but I don't like putting musicals into shows that have no business doing it. A musical is a very specific genre and you have to have the world set up where singing is acceptable. These musical episodes are one-offs and they're stupid.
