Oooooh!! Thank You!! Let me askyou this. Do I have to do a disassembly like this just to put seat covers on? The typeyou buy to just put on the seats in your car. I hope that made sense. Thanks.
Just the parts store slip on covers...No you should not need to. The Katskins where you are replacing the factory cover yes, then you also need to separate the bottom and back. Good Day, lemme know if you need more info.
Thanks so much! My driver's license fell under the back seat (while it was down like a wagon; fell through an opening.) and I've been trying to figure out how to retrieve it. I was so happy to find your channel.
I thought they flip up guess the guy just left them bolts out and don't blame em going to do the same to the other side like an extra compartment back there
I just want my drivers seat "lower" in my 05 Vibe , dot see any way possible aside from trying a different seat from some other car. They made the base seat too high so I sit like im in a truck, wish atleast the back bottom of the seat was an inch lower or something.
Thanks for this. It made it easy-peasy to pull out the lower bolts in the front of the seat and simply lift up the seat to see if my missing camera had fallen under there. I found 3 pencils, a small paint brush, a bungie cord embedded in a big chunk of conglomerate and tons of pebbles and dog hair from a previous owner, but no camera. Oh well, at least It's cleaned out now. Now if I could figure out how to extract my lip liner brush from the little hole where the hand brake comes out of the floor....OK, I figured that out too. Retrieved the brush along with, a fork, 35¢ and 18 almonds. :-)
Hope you figured this out by now but thought I'd mention that somewhere else I saw that on the 2008 version you just have to push the front seats forward all the way for good access to the back, and then grab ahold of the rear bench seat bottoms and pull forward and up to get it out. Might be worth a try for those with no bolts.
This is a great help. Thanks. I want to put some under-seat subs in my car. Under the back seats seems to be the best option. Do you happen to have any clue about the open space dimensions under the back seats?
