    I like to say, “Don’t mess with Texas” after a successful completion of a repair job. Then I KNOW it’s done. Nothing rhymes with British Columbia so I borrow Texas.

    Suggestion to use a torque wrench. Caliper bolt torque = 25ft/lbs. Engineers don't calculate fastener specs for fun.

    Thanks so much! Great video

    Not necessary to remove both Caliper bolts. You can slide the caliper up by removing one screw and loosening other

    Thanks for this! This is one the only video I saw that let me know that I don't have to take the calipers completely off just to change the pads, and thanks for that screwdriver trick, it came in handy! Also, every other video showed cracking open the Bleeder Valve, which I see you didn't do at all. That's fine, right? Like it's not causing any issues so long as my only problem is brake pads?
    Again, thanks, buddy! I'd buy you a beer if I could.

    Do you have to put your parking brake on or off? Secondly, did you open the brake fluid cap on the hood when you did your brake pad change sir? Please reply ASAP thanks in advanced. :)

      Jay Pineda I had the parking brake on . The fluid cap on did not matter I never added any brake fluid so when I pushed the calipers open the fluid did not overflow out of the brake master cylinder. If you added fluid to you brake system then you will need to open the fluid cap and take out excess flied so it does not overflow - Charles

    The problem with leaving the old rotors on is that they are glazed. They run red hot and carbon permeates the surface creating a hard slick layer. The pads skate on it. They are really cheap and brakes are important, why not do it all?

    • @CrCook
      @CrCook  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +carbidegrd1 The problem is that just because I did not change the rotors they did not change in the one second between old pads and new pads the old pads were working great as I said in the video their was no braking problem so I felt like it was not needed next time I will replace everything with new parts and not turn the rotors but replace them should of it been done probably but its been over a year and a half and the car stops perfectly so far - Charles
