Motonosity I just bought a 2011 R1 , and after 20-30 min of riding the exhaust is literally burning me off the bike . And it has a lite sputter when I take off in first does your R1 exhausted burn your legs. Mine has what looks like a full yoshimura trc system , and I know the ECU has been flashed. Because it automatically starts in A mode. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. PS. I haven't checked for a power camander yet as I don't have tools , and the tool kit is missing.
+Motonosity, Replace your windscreen with a Puig smoked one so you can actually see. It's still dark and nice but you can actually see through it even at night!
@psycho'si carter terry cloth wrist band. Many riders use them as a reservoir cover have for decades. Nice way to add a personal touch to your bike and protect bike/street/track from any brake fluid leak if it happens.
i don't understand why they keep complaining about people braking too much, road is wide and all they have to do is just overtake them but clearly, they are all just beginners by the way they take a cornerl
Nothing like slow people riding the perfect lines and braking to a near halt in turns then gunning it on straights ensuring people cant pass them while forcing them to ride your ass the entire track.
@@teemuarola7837 bahahaha my thoughts exactly. Main thing is they're having fun. I wouldnt have been irritated so long as they would talk down on people riding withing their limits.
You should get into a curve with a lower gear so that you have more power to accelerate after the corner... You're always at 5-6000 /min where your motor has less horsepower... turn it up to 11000 in the corner and you will be much faster:D Keep it up and have a gentle ride on your R1👍🏻
Modern liter bikes often go to 100 mph in 1st gear, you have no idea how overpowered a 200hp motorcycle is. Geared any lower it would just be lighting up the anti-wheelie and traction control.
Picking better lines and braking properly. We did a track day at VIR 3 weeks ago. Check out a few of our track videos and you will see what I'm talking about. Like your supermoto build. Pretty sweet.
You really think so? I thought they were taking pretty good lines, but they were braking really early though. Kinda logical for a track day. Track days are about fun, I don't think they need to step up anything. If you are having fun, they will progress naturally.
I am not going to make a negative comment pal. It was obvious you were riding at your mates pace not your own. What I loved was it is so good to see someone knows how to change (shift) up gear properly. You don't need to use the clutch people!
Jesse Costa is living under a dumpster. Nicest? Says who? You? Just your comment proves how fcked up your so called community are. Reread his statement then read yours.
First track day always makes you the world's most humblest person when you see how slow you are. Hah :) I have done three track days this season. Please check my latest track day video. :)
For the next track day is it possible to mount some camera towards the rear end of the bike? It would be cool to have a side cam in the corner of the video that shows how hard you are leaning in these turns.
Having driven COA a few times, I can understand the line you guys are taking. The pros cut huge amounts of time off each lap by using the whole track and braking later than you could ever imagine... By using the whole track, I mean going wide and squaring off the apex on half of the turns. The fast turns you can do without backing off at all. Definitely a sweet track!
Great videos as always. Quick FYI to make your track days more fun. ALWAYSSSSSS look for the pass. TAKE it if you see the opening. You can never get faster by 'focusing' on the rider in front of you and 'mirroring' their braking points. Ride YOUR ride & have fun. Like I said, good video, but you seemed to have been complaining too often. So rather than complain about the slower riders........just pass them......passsssssssss them; simple as that. Don't hesitate....don't brake when they brake if you don't have to......just........pass them....& have fun.
I know that but what I meant was for him to build a bike for track only, like get an older r1 upgrade some aspects of it, I think it would be cool to see but that's just my opinion
Once again love the editing aspect of track racing and hearing you and Hunter talking while cruising around the track. Thanks for sharing Motonosity!!!
I am about to get Yamaha r1 I rides bikes a lot, but I haven’t owned one before in my life. After watching this video I insist to get one like yours ! Most of my friends suggested Suzuki GSX, but I was like Nah fellas. I really liked the R1 and it is faster for sure !
If you think GP riders have to do a lot of work to race on the tracks cuz they gotta memorize them, you should watch Supercross, Every track is different, and you are timing huge jumps on a track thats brand new.
Supercross don't have blind curves, the only blind spots are on some jumps but the time riders approach jumps and see the type of it, they already know how and where they will be landing. They won't design jumps on tracks that won't fit to each other I believe. Riders can do practice laps on both though, but still supercross track is easier to memorize for me
Clutchless upshifting. Also you can get a quickshifter which more or less makes you have an upshift only DSG gearbox. Some quickshifters can quick shift down though too. A video to inform you more: th-cam.com/video/pD6cACGnYx0/w-d-xo.html
hey bro did you record this with gopro adapter mic 3.5mm connected to your gopro or sena bleutooth pack gp10-01 ? can you help me i wana do some vidéo with my gopro and i have a bleutooth sena on my helmet... so what do you think is better ? adapter mic , or gp10-01 pack for sena bleutooth devices for gopro ... thnk yu !
I think there should be groups defined by speed like they do in Europe. First timer start with a guide, to get a feel for racing lines and braking points, then get a chip and make groups which are ordered by laptimes. Would be much more fun and challenging. Not to hit those guys which brakes 100 feet early and throw their knee out at 20 degree lean
Sweet C group video. I remember my first track day. Keep it up man! Maybe leave the mics and talking to people in the paddock. There is no way you are learning what you could be chatting with each other all session. Probably didn't do every session like this, but if you did, try and do a couple sessions without the mics.
can I suggest picking up a g force direction meter for your track days. your bike so smooth that it doesn't look like your accelerating as fast as I know you are. you can add it into the footage pretty easily. I'd personally love to see it. i love these 2 man track day vid, but that slow guy was ruining it.
if youre turning (like really leaning) and you apply more brakes, youre asking a lot of your front tire so you either will run wide or loose traction in the front of the bike and low side.
Hey moto nice bike man..I have an 2011 R1 Raven and I just got the new 2015 R1 both bikes are amazing but the new bike has grown on me its so fast and light ... Which one do you prefer?

Yeah, not sure what that was about, there were also plenty of passing opportunities within the rules for their group, if you stay on the line you'll be able to pass safely eventually. Being slowed down doesn't mean you're ready for the next group up like one of the dudes in the video said, it just means you don't know how to pass.
I think some tracks need more turns that are for beginners. Half the time I think people are there to just go fast on the straights. Which I think they’re confused. They should be looking at drag strips.
Don't forget to subscribe to my buddy Hunter Honda, who I was riding with :) th-cam.com/users/hunterhonda

Motonosity which camera are you using here (what is the camera )
+Motonosity, Replace your windscreen with a Puig smoked one so you can actually see. It's still dark and nice but you can actually see through it even at night!
what model is his bike?

If you can talk while riding in track you are going way too slow... ;)
yup
exactly :D
He was goin 140
Why you can't multi-task or what?
Why so much moaning about the other riders you should be having fun overtaking them
Nothing like slow people riding the perfect lines and braking to a near halt in turns then gunning it on straights ensuring people cant pass them while forcing them to ride your ass the entire track.
If they're going that slowly then couldn't you just pass them on the outside
Pretty sure any1 of u guys who are crying cant get ur knee down
Prince Fancybum strictly against the rules at pretty much any track day. You’ll get black flagged immediately.
@@teemuarola7837 bahahaha my thoughts exactly. Main thing is they're having fun. I wouldnt have been irritated so long as they would talk down on people riding withing their limits.
Stop complaining about novice riders and go up a group level jesus.
He looks like a novice rider himself:)
You should get into a curve with a lower gear so that you have more power to accelerate after the corner... You're always at 5-6000 /min where your motor has less horsepower... turn it up to 11000 in the corner and you will be much faster:D

the sound of those bikes.... pure music to my ears! wish I was good enough to have a track day.
You boys need to step up your track game.
+Fast FZ09 not sure what you mean by that
Picking better lines and braking properly. We did a track day at VIR 3 weeks ago. Check out a few of our track videos and you will see what I'm talking about. Like your supermoto build. Pretty sweet.
+Fast FZ09 that's why we're doing them man. Only our 2nd one. That's what they're for. Getting better.
Motonosity Sounds good.
You really think so? I thought they were taking pretty good lines, but they were braking really early though. Kinda logical for a track day. Track days are about fun, I don't think they need to step up anything. If you are having fun, they will progress naturally.

Can’t believe he got a grom to go that fast!!
I dont think that was a grom😂😂
it's funny how hard they're trying to get their knee out while they're taking a turn at 20 mph.
lol it was so dumb!
Hanging off the bike decreases lean angle so its safer in turns and learning proper cornering at a reasonable speed is anything but dumb.
Are you sure you're not dumb?
Jesse Costa is living under a dumpster. Nicest? Says who? You? Just your comment proves how fcked up your so called community are. Reread his statement then read yours.
Jesse Costa lower speeds can be less safe because of other ridrrs
I'm not usually one to act like a big shot on the Internet but I feel like I could do better than the vast majority of the people on this track...
That was probably a slow group. They took corners very carefully.
No knee sliders were harmed that day.
I probably should have added I have also never been to a track
First track day always makes you the world's most humblest person when you see how slow you are. Hah :)
I have done three track days this season. Please check my latest track day video. :)
lol its the GoPro footage... Looks slow but I bet if you were actually on that track it's not slow
a real biker doesnt complain that much about others slowing down. he looks how to pass them ;)
As a Miata I'm inclined to say: TRACK DAY BRO!
For the next track day is it possible to mount some camera towards the rear end of the bike? It would be cool to have a side cam in the corner of the video that shows how hard you are leaning in these turns.
One of the few vloggers who post track days... Much respect!
idk why but everytime i watch track days videos and i see the rider going over the curve my head just starting to lean over the curve
Same!
Having driven COA a few times, I can understand the line you guys are taking. The pros cut huge amounts of time off each lap by using the whole track and braking later than you could ever imagine... All the bikes!

Ducati Penigale 1299

now go to holland and do laps around assen :p
Haha yeah I watched the moto-GP live, like the track.
or the isle of man
zandvoort
Yuuup, CoTA's gorgeous but it's wide and safe, Assen's hardcore, you need balls of steel to ride hard there.
Nah... Around Old Spa!
You should make a track bike build series
I know that but what I meant was for him to build a bike for track only, like get an older r1 upgrade some aspects of it, I think it would be cool to see but that's just my opinion
Do you have any idea how expensive it is to build a proper track bike?
I don't mean full race spec. I was only taking about the basics bud
That's basically fairings and quick shifter then.
Pretty much man, i didn't mean for him to build a full spec track bike. I was only taking about simple thinks
What's #1 on your list of places to ride someday?
has to be pikes peak on my brand new Aprilia rsv4 (that is my dream bike)
Coastline road trip
Monza
Sea to sky highway
You live in the Springs?
Once again love the editing aspect of track racing and hearing you and Hunter talking while cruising around the track. Thanks for sharing Motonosity!!!
Hahahaha that ending was awesome dude
Your bike is shit fast on the track, well done bro like the 20th times i watched this(don't judge me)
MAN I NEVER THOUGHT A TRACK DAY WUD BE SO FUN.
Watching a bike accelerate out of a turn is so satisfying 😍
Nice: the track owners placed some orange crosses on the track to indicate the ideal driving line!
The track and surrounds look beautiful
Sweet mercy the sound of the cross plane crank!
if theyre going slow through turns, pick a different line if youre able to go faster than them
I am about to get Yamaha r1 I rides bikes a lot, but I haven’t owned one before in my life. After watching this video I insist to get one like yours ! Most of my friends suggested Suzuki GSX, but I was like Nah fellas. I really liked the R1 and it is faster for sure !

Superosity... wonderosity... genioisity.... love it baby... keep it up R1osity!!!!
Lovely, JakeTheGardensnake just made a video that he hates the R1 and you make a video why you LOVE it
+Absolute Cancer funny how that happens lol
Yeah, but everyone's taste (in motorcycles) is different.
do ur Ballz really fry as jakethegardensnake says ??
The R1 is a track bike and wil always be the Track bike
You realise these are completely different R1's in every single aspect?
one tip: try to keep your engine in the higher rpm ranges because with a 4-cylinder engine your pover is up there
You mentioned you had new tyres but didn't mention what brand you had fitted thanks
Austin, I'm in the uk, recognise this from f1
Same!
Whens a race between you and ridingwithtom gonna happen?
That was awesome. Your R1 sounds badass. Frustrating watching the slow guys wick it up in the straights without letting you pass.
@motonosity thats awesome you've been doing track videos looks like its tons of fun out there keep up the good work
Thats really cool of you guys. Reminds me of Team Deathmatch
I can't wait to get on that track, I live like 15 mins away from it in south Austin.
You are driving in so calmly
COTA, beautiful track, Marc's fun playground.
awesome duo run guys
This track looks so much better than the one in Atlanta
It looks like you’re able to shift without using your clutch. Wow!
I love COTA!! Such a beautiful track
man, that crossplane really does sing! (it is a crossplane, right????)
+apateoniskos Yessir!
This was so cool seeing it from a "Moto GP" stand point (Im a F1 fan)
I know nothing about bikes. How are you changing gear without the clutch? Sequential gearbox?
Clutchless upshifting. Also you can get a quickshifter which more or less makes you have an upshift only DSG gearbox. Some quickshifters can quick shift down though too.
A video to inform you more: th-cam.com/video/pD6cACGnYx0/w-d-xo.html
I haven't had a track day yet. After watching these videos I have to make it happen soon.
wanted to see some high-speed through corners but driving to normal like it's the streets you got to release that beast on the track
+matthew ramirez gradually stretching my limits :)
I think at 10:56 That was Captain Man from Bakers and Arsons vlogs when they go to LA sometimes.
Nice clutch less up shifts on the R1 6:00

Good stuff! Love that track. Never ridden it, but marshaled there a few times for the big races.
Would love to watch you ride in a more advanced group! Is there a reason you did group 1 and not a different one?
I really need to take my s1000rr to a track, its just a shame we don’t have that many motorcycle tracks in The Netherlands
super cool to meet you downtown RR!! Awesome video
Sweet C group video. I remember my first track day. Keep it up man! Maybe leave the mics and talking to people in the paddock. Guess who came from snapchat?? Ya boy Mattycyclez that's whoooooo. Keep on keeping on Moto
+MattyCyclez Yeah bro!
Bridgestone Battlax RS10 's, good choice.
might be a noob question here.. you don't need clutch to change to higher gear?
Your R1 floats like a butterfly but stings like a bee
The r1 is the best motorcycle of the world ( and it’s my dream bike ;)
This is a gorgeous track!
You're a good driver men.. enjoyed watching
what a beautiful track, I would love to ride this track..so jealous.
Moto, where did all of these pro riders come from in the comments? You did great and it looked hella fun. Fun to watch also. All that matters. L8R.
+Chuck Mastin haha thanks Chuck :)
This video switching videos is AWESOME!!! What kind of gloves are those white ones?
I had an R1 and went to Busa. They were both nice. But I've gotten too old to race and run from the cops so I'm looking for a street glide special
.
Some actually play the video games to learn the tracks but nothing beats real life experience
That's what I do to give me a heads up on the layout before watching on MotoGP weekend. Career mode and play one week ahead of real life schedule....
MotoGP 2015. Yes and that track is Austin, Texas... ;)
Most race car drivers run simulators to help. It's really cool
you should put a icon above Hunters head so we can keep up with where he is, like racing with friends lol
bit of friendly comp good to see.
Dude, your track is sweet. Way better than the stuff available up here in the Midwest. Do you have the quickshifter on the R1 too?
can I suggest picking up a g force direction meter for your track days. your bike so smooth that it doesn't look like your accelerating as fast as I know you are. you can add it into the footage pretty easily. I'd personally love to see it. i love these 2 man track day vid, but that slow guy was ruining it.
+Rick Taylor got any brands to recommend?
You two were complaining about other people going slow when you're going slow yourselves.
Well you dont want to be right behind someone as they slow down. Youll throw the balance of the bike off at that moment
????
if youre turning (like really leaning) and you apply more brakes, youre asking a lot of your front tire so you either will run wide or loose traction in the front of the bike and low side.
Then you sir do not know how to ride. That's called trail braking. I do it all the time.
One2 if you got good quality stuff or not going into the corner at 150 then Yea it's easy.
According to the interwebs, R1's are constantly getting passed by 250's. Hahahahahaha!
I need to ride this track one of these days!
your r1 is really good-looking, can you tell me the model and the color? it's awesome
i would love to see some third person shots of you riding on the track if possible!
+Floris van den berg instagram :)
that is true and i have seen them, but maybe some flyby clips would be awesome
That looks like such a good time. One day!
Hey moto nice bike man..I have an 2011 R1 Raven and I just got the new 2015 R1 both bikes are amazing but the new bike has grown on me its so fast and light ... Which one do you prefer?
What awesome riding. Great track too.
Looks fun for sure!
The R1 is a beast, good driving by the way.
What was the highest speed you hit that day? I can't recognise it on the video.
So you do clutchless upshifts, but don't revmatch your downshifts. Are you just using the slipper clutch instead of revmatching?
I'd like to do a track day one of these days.
Thanks for informing me of the upload on snapchat!
Fair play to Hunter Honda for going like that with no screen.
That looks so fun!! I wish I could afford a track day!!
the footpeg scrape sounded like a sneeze haha
I was always told you either need to be on the gas or brakes. All those slow people are good passing practice. I really need to get out to COTA.
What bike is hunter Honda riding and why does it look like a naked bike too
CB1000R
Sorry but that is slow af! I am not hating...just saying. And you break about 95 % at the front.
+MrFunRacing 2nd track day. All about progress.
+Motonosity pfffft i had a 1 min lap time on a 35 mile track my first day at the track. Pfft motonosity, more like motonoob pft, I drive a turbo busa bro. Pft noob.
Hehe all jokes aside love you man and great riding! :D
+Joel lindblom you would have to be doing like 280 mph lol at 1 min 35 mile ahahaha gsxr bro
+Caleb Newton turbo busa bro #busabro
I think some tracks need more turns that are for beginners. Half the time I think people are there to just go fast on the straights. Which I think they’re confused. They should be looking at drag strips.
Circuit of The America's. I wan't to ride that track so bad!
