I put LSL flat bars on my 2019 ZX14R and TRANSFORMED it. That and a Woolwich flash with Yoshi pipes. I might want to do that with a new R1. You're inspiring me to pull the trigger.

@3:48 I’ll tell you what it is. The R1 has character, the S1000RR does not. In the process of refining and perfecting the S1000RR, BMW got rid of a lot of the edges and things that individualize motorcycles and make them special. I’ve once heard of an S1000RR described as the “finest slice of white bread you can buy”. There’s a lot of truth to that.

I hear you and I understand the logic behind the statement, but owning one, I just can't agree. They both have a ton of character, they're just different.
Its a fact, people just don't want to believe in it, i've seen numerous vieos where people said that S1k is just clinical, mundane and perfection but with no feeling. Seriously, i've seen videos from around the world and evryone said the same exact thing.
Mostly all bikes have their own character nowadays
The Zx10r, R1, S1000, etc they all are unique in their own ways
Keep both liter bikes and get rid of everything else...your welcome 😁

I have the BT flash for my 2020 R1 and they improved the QS and AB, not to mention it pulls hard all the way to redline. Part throttle is buttery smooth now too. Definitely a different bike now.
Any before and after dyno numbers? Is it WAY faster or just a little bit?
@@badass1g I’m sorry, no dyno numbers, but it is night and day. Midrange is insane. It seems the tune came with helium for the front tire because it’s hard to keep it down.
Getting rid of the throttle plate restrictions was huge. It now pulls hard to redline when before it signed off a little after 11k

Looking forward to the Brent tune video, might have to upgrade the R1. There was no reason to get a newer bike without an ECU tune before.

Nosity that r1 is sounds 🔥. I traded my 18 r1 for my 20 s1k and I am going to be going back to the r1 soon I wasn't going to get the 20 and up model cus there hasn't been a flash for it but brentuning is getting ready to put one out it sounds like so I might have to get the bat eyes r1.

Quick R1 story, not had a Kawasaki,since 92,3rd GT550,SUPERB BIKE, only ever wanted Kawasakis, 15,saw a bike 30 yards away,big back tyre low seat,straight bars, wee nose fairing,BIG,BIG ENGINE, it was a 57 R1, lovely, before I heard 0-60mph, 2.5 seconds,triple LOVELY. March 19 ,got a 05 fuel inj.650 Bandit, one very careful owner, who basically ran it in for 15,000 miles, BEST BIKE EVER,and I'm not even lying.
The S1000 is characteristically German, which means precise, sharp, refined, and perfected. The R1 may not be the same way. At least not to the same extent. But that's what makes it cooler. It gives the bike soul/character which the S1000 lacks. The sound of the R1 is pretty special too compared to other liter bikes.
I have been loving the lower temps down here in south Texas. I need it to stop raining so I can put my new roof on though lol.

I’m currently ride 2014 Kawasaki Zx6r and want to upgrade to litter bike. Out of S1k and R1, which one do you think is more comfortable and similar sit position to the Zx6r? I had 09 R6 and I honestly hate it. I couldn’t even ride the R6 more than an hr but I could ride the Zx6r for 5-6hrs. R1 is relatively more affordable than S1k, that’s big plus.
I don't own or ride a sportbike, but that thing sounds mean! I do ride however, I ride its bigger brother, a Yamaha Royal Star tour deluxe "chrome couch". It also has a V4 instead of the typical V-twin like most big cruisers. I switched out my exhaust with Sharkroad Megaphones and she sounds mean and loud too.
man i wish i had a new bike been stuck on the side of the highway 3 times after spending thousands on maintaining and repairing my bike at this motorcycle shop in Frisco, tx .... had to get a motor swap and everything, and just yesterday that motor started knocking really bad and got stuck on the highway again it's just so frustrating and after covid, i don't have the money to buy another bike

I thought i would let you guy's know about the huge vehicle taxes we've got here in Denmark. The price for a brand new Yamaha R1 2021 is, 46.117 dollars. And a brand new R1M costs, 59.906 Dollars. Thats why you don't see so many Danes on new bikes. We have the same taxes on Cars.

Are you going to get your bike flashed now that the 2020 R1 ECU has been cracked? Should help a lot with the mid range and fixing some of the AF ratios!

they slowly adding new modes with each model and didnt you see the difference in the 2019 and 2020 we wont be getting a new R1 until at least 2024 if euro 6 dose not come along and kill the R1

The 2015 R1 was in response to the S1K, the Gen4 zx10r etc … now all those bikes (Honda, Aprillia, Kawasaki, Suzuki, BmW etc) have all come out with a new Gen since then..I still love my 2018 and will never switch but it’s time for a new model to compete!

Like @tiqerboy said, the CRF is the "worst" ticket I've gotten. I got one on my 2009 R6 and on my WR250X, each for 50 in a 40. I've had a couple interesting warnings though, one of which I'll eventually talk about...

Get an r6 first bro. Unless u habe no riding experience at all. Start on sumthing smaller
Don't start on a liter bike. If a 300 is out of the question for you get either a late model ninja zx6r or gixxer 600. They have gear indicators, slipper clutches and decent ergonomics. The R6 has a snatchy throttle, high ass seat If ur short and leans you over alot. The new ones have gear indicators but you don't wanna spend a bag on ur first bike.
@@hfr8343 2nd generation r6 is a great bike to learn on. Powerband is way far up in the rpms. Can get them cheap. They're super reliable. Dont think the seating position is to bad tbh. You saying to learn on an 05 636 instead lol 🤦♂️
@@FlexFast I didn't say that at all. My first bike was an 11 zx6r which is 599 cc. I'm 6'4 220 so I kinda looked like a bear on a tricycle but knew a 1k was too much to learn on. I'm tryin to help the young bull out.
