    I'm quite new to the sim racing topic - let's say - about two weeks :D But I love your channel. Not only are you great in getting into things but man, you are the Bob Ross of sim racing. I just love to listen to you even if I'm not interested in the piece of hardware you're reviewing (hello pricetags ;) But in the GTTrack I'm really interested so I just love that you made a review. Thanks a lot.

    Once again you saved me. Your videos have guided me through 3 builds now! Instruction manuals are not a specialty of sim-rig manufacturers I guess?. I just wanna thank you for all your videos and let you know they've helped me a lot!
    I know this is considered rude to some people and if your one of them I'm sorry. How much money have you spent on your equipment? I've never seen so many wheel bases and wheel rims in one person's e-racing garage

    I agree with the seat back flex issue. That seat looks almost identical to the one that ships with the Obutto. After about a year of use, that free play is going to get worse. The problem is it only has positive seat back support on one side. I bought a cheap faux leather seat from amazon with an adjustable seat back...however this one had a dial adjust on the seat back and it had positive support on both sides of the seat. Been racing with that for about a year and it’s still rock solid with no noticeable flex.

    The threaded insert are put into the frame by a pop rivet type tool.

    That seat looks pretty comfy, so I think I'll leave the oil on to keep it from rusting. any specific torx specs for those nuts and bolts or just snug my snug maybe different from the rocks Dewayne Johnson, no sleeping while driving

    I have the NLR 2.0 stand and wondering if it'll be worth getting the $500 seat attachment -- All together it'll be pretty close to the GT Track, except the front part won't have the solid bar going from front to back at the bottom, since the wheel stand part is made to fold up for storage, so maybe not quite as rigid as a GT Track.
    It's either that or just save longer for an aluminum profile rig + seat. Decisions, decisions.

  • @Morcs33

    barry from your experience hows the comfort compared to a fixed bucket seat. i was looking at this but im bit taller and heavier than you and the flex from the seat would annoy me. but could someone 6-1 95 kgs fit in the fixed bucket seat ?

    • @simracinggarage3026
      @simracinggarage3026  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it's really easy to find a comfortable sitting position with this seat. Finding a comfortable bucket seat is more difficult. I went through 3 different buckets to finally land on my Sparco EVO. Even if you were the same size as me, there is no guarantee
      that you would be comfortable in it. Really have to try different seats. If you have a local speed shop, I would go there and try what they have. They do make the Sparco EVO in larger sizes, so there is that option. Thing is, once you find a good fitting bucket seat, then find the correct angle with the side bracket holes, it will spoil you. Which will cause one to notice, in a negative way, any flex when sitting in a seat with a reclining back.

    hey guys, i'm kinda new here. saw your post and was wondering what an 80/20 rig is?

  • @pizzathehutxXx
    @pizzathehutxXx 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Barry, is there any fix to swapping out the reclining seat for a Sparco fixed back seat?

    • @simracinggarage3026
      @simracinggarage3026  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you would need to fabricate some metal slats to span the gap between the rear rails. Once they are secured, you can drill them to accept regular side mount seat brackets or sliders.

      I have a K2. It is my first cockpit so I don't have anything to compare it to but it is very sturdy and great value for money imo, especially if you have a spare seat lying around.

    I don't have any interest in spending big money on getting that motion device but i wished there was a way to get your seat at the same high as when you have that device. I don't like sitting so low as most sim racing rigs put you and that is ideal height for me but unfortunately you need that motion device to get to that height.

      Like which one? the SimLab ships from EU and has $190 shipping, making it almost $1000 USD, not including the seat. I am in the market for a rig right now and I would appreciate some options. Thanks!
