It's been a few months now since I gave you my initial unboxing, assembly and initial impressions of the Next Level Racing GTTrack Simulator Cockpit.
In the time since then, I've used this cockpit for about 150 hours, so it's time to come back with a proper review.
In this video, I talk you through my overall impressions of the cockpit, plus take you along for a ride in F1 2018 as well as Dirt Rally 2.0 to show you exactly how much flex there is in the rig.

Watching your video from 4 years ago helps us see just how much this channel has grown. It’s almost emotional how much work you guys have put in to become one of the best simracing TH-cam channels in the world. Rock on.

First time seeing one of your older videos wow you have come a long way in driving skill and rig! Love the videos and your honest reviews looking to upgrade my rig from a simple wheel stand and office chair to the gt track or possibly the trak racer rc6.

Yep, again. Thanks to you, I now have this Cockpit from Next Level Racing. It arrived a few days after I ordered it on (wait for it...) 6-24-19, but I haven't assembled it yet. Waiting for my Fanatec Podium PS4 Direct Drive bundle to arrive scheduled for 8-15-19, this coming Thursday. Then I will assemble it. So thanks, and keep up with the good videos.
Just bought mine last week, comes this thursday and I plan on getting the DD2 from Fanatec soon!
It's been a year now, what do you think of the cockpit?

Hello. How is this cockpit after a couple of years? How does it feel on your back after a couple of years?
@@colesrk Put it this way: I have done many 5 hour stints in the chair and it's so comfy, I don't feel it, really. Even after all this time.
So um happy with it, still.

Is there some big input delay or something? It looks like it takes a little while for the screen to mirror your movements of the wheel.

Hi Will, can i ask how you find the seat as far as breathability? I think it is a leather and i find those type of seats make me sweaty on my back much more than a cloth style seat. How are you finding that aspect or does anyone have any feedback for this?
It does get pretty sweaty but on the flip side it’s a lot easier to keep clean.
Thanks for the reply. Have you sat in the trak racer Mach 2 seat? Assuming you are above average height and relatively slim (like me), how did you find it?

More like a high quality office chair.

I'm looking at getting one of the two rigs you have reviewed, so which is the better option ? Gt track or Fgt ? I'm leaning toward Gt track mainly because the seat looks more comfortable.
GT Track is the more solid option of the two if formula seating position isn’t important to you.
@@boostedmedia after watching a few of your vid's..... I have decided to switch and go with the trak racer tr80 , purely for upgrade ability options if I choose so. 🤓
To be honest you cant really go wrong with both, they both handle direct drive wheels, they both can be turned into flight sims with the kit they sell at Next Level Racing. However if you want the most customization in terms of adding motion, and your own custom racing seat then the Gttrack. The gttrack is the one i just bought and I cannot wait. I was looking into trak racing myself but i plan on adding motion to my rig so i went with the GTTrack.
Hey Will, can you do a video on how to mount the shifter and the handbrake on the gt track mount? i'm not sure how to do on mine, and from what i'm seeing you managed to just this that very well!

Sold it a few weeks ago. It was too expensive to have sitting in the garage doing nothing I’m afraid. Have a 2013 SS Commodore now. Will be doing some videos soon.

Simulator rigs are fun, dramatic adult toys and intrinsically look silly to people not into similar hobbies. (Not a diss, i'm saving for one :p)
Even if the belt was nothing but feeling 'dressed up' to race, for people to insult any given measure that a user finds increases their immersion or enjoyment of their setup shows a distressing lack of self-awareness about their own rigs and decisions.
Do you still think it is a good rig?

@@boostedmedia I game on PC in the lounge with a single 55 inch 4k monitor. I'd love another two of them, but then i'd never be able to leave the room haha. Just ordered my first wheel and pedal set (CSL Elite +PS4 and LC)... currently looking for a wheel frame for the sofa, but after watching this I might have to plan for a full cockpit... not sure I have room between sofa and tv though... fingers crossed...

How does this compare to what you have today?
It’s fine for belt driven wheels and more entry level load cell pedals but we found it didn’t really stand up to the task once we put more high end hardware on it. Started to flex quite a bit.

tc at 100% and racing line? g27 would do the same job. id take the seat belt and find a rafter
