The bracelet is exceptional. It tapers across two links from the solid lug end link. it is finely brushed with chamfered center links with polished sides that reflects light like crazy. No fine adjustment other than half links, but the clasp solidly clicks closed with a pronounced click and sits flush across the bottom unlike on the sarb how those bracelet are raised a little. It uses a pin and collar sizing method so it is a bit more difficult to size without proper tools.
I have never been a Seiko fan, but I LOVE YOUR WATCH here. Simply gorgeous. Really reminds me of a Grand Seiko for a fraction of the price. I think I have found my next watch. Thanks!
Bro i just got mine today. Gotta say its absolutly stunning in person..im gonna wear it daily. Im a chef in a hospital too. Usually wear divers. Not anymore
Jeff, are you still wearing yours or have you gone back to divers. I am in same boat, always wear a divers but saw this blue dial Seiko and had to have one. Hope I like it!!
Judd Xavier yes it seems it is the first quality strap I'll have ever received from Seiko. We will see in a week or so. I have way too many blue watches, so I figured this teal will nature for a nice change of pace. Otherwise I would have gotten the 045 as well. I have the rare sarb045 to play that role though. It's funny how similar their cases are... I think your watch is the spiritual successor to my sarb045.
It is a contrasty presence like a bright white sailboat boat in a deep blue sea of teak dial bliss. :-) Another way to look at it is the date window is photobombing an otherwise starkly elegant deep blue dial. I like the former as the contrast white background provides heightened date legibility making this a more sporty everyday watch.
I have both. Neither is a bad choice. I think the Citizen is a slightly nicer watch overall (28,800 bph, screw link bracelet, etc..), but I much prefer the look of the the Seiko.
hi i have the seiko sarb033 in my collection which i really enjoy wearing. Would you also recommend getting this watch for my collection? as these are quite similar dressy watches. That blue is so beautiful!
Karan funny I'm considering adding a sarb033 to my collection! the differences are appreciable in my opinion. I think having both is a pretty good deal spending less on both as opposed only one ETA 2824 timepiece. I personally would put the sarb on a leather strap while keeping the bracelet on the sarx. The bracelet is better on this watch in my opinion.
Judd Xavier Thanks! i agree bracelet and clasp does look better on the sarx. I also prefer my sarb on leather. I think i am gonna the sarx soon. I may end up flipping sarb and keeping this. Cheers! Wear in good health.
hey is the bracelet shorter than a normal US brought watch? i read in done sites that its only 7 1^4 inch. ...... and i winner if it will fit my 8 inch wrist
Great review. Might just pull the trigger on this. Everything going for it but saw some negatives on the white date wheel. Is it obtrusive ? I may overlook it completely though but thought I shud ask. Best review on the tube for the 045. Thanks.
Sorry for asking but what is your wrist size? Mine is just under 6.75 and im worried about the watch being to long from lug to lug. Thanks! Great review by the way.
efedude77 don't be sorry! Be badass with a 6.75" wrist like mine! I think it is perfect lug to lug on my 6.75" wrist. If I were to guess I think it is 48mm, but this watch is Goldilocks zone for me- just right.
I've had clasps like this break as the stud is the only part holding it together. Of course great dial. With the dc on the SGDM I was hoping this dial would have the same attraction and from your video, it does. I've been struggling with whether to return my new SARB065 back because of that height and domed hardlex. I'll make that decision after seeing the SARB in a Croc/Alligator strap. But losing 2.5mm in height makes this very appealing. I was unimpressed with the cream dial and blue hands. The black/blue dial is a much better more GS type option for sure.
Got mine yesterday. While overall it's absolutely stunning, I'm a bit disappointed in the blue dial. It does not seem to have the richness that is shown in this video.
Thanks for the review and great shots all around the watch, much better than the pics on Google. I'm going to Japan next month, so i'm planning to get a seiko. I have a very small (6.3-6.4") and round wrist (very short flat area on top) and was looking at the SARB033 as it's just 38mm. But i love the dial on this one a lot. What would you suggest between this and the SARB? Thank you in advance :)
Wongsarun Chatamornwong I'm sure the sarb will fit your wrist fine given its 38mm width. the sarx045 is 39.5. on my 6.75" wrist the lugs slope down and do not hang off the wrist giving a couple mm room. Consider the sarx is 48mm lug to lug while the sarb is 44.8mm. I will guess the sarx045 would be on the borderline for you. The other cool things is the sarx is similar thickness making it look thinner overall.
Fuck me running that's a beautiful watch! The design is amazing, close to the Grand Seiko SBGX091 and 093... but at a fraction of the price. And, when you said "look at the dial," I stopped listening.
ChasingTruth TakingFlak I disagree. Depending upon your body size, arm length and wrists. Audemars Piguet has sold loads of a very expensive 40mm dress only Royal Oak dress watch.
I’ve only watch this video 10-12 times , can we get an update ?love this watch so much

Jesus . It's beautiful . Just gorgeous . These new presage watches are amazing
I have never been a Seiko fan, but I LOVE YOUR WATCH here. Simply gorgeous. Really reminds me of a Grand Seiko for a fraction of the price. I think I have found my next watch. Thanks!
You're welcome! It definitely punches way above it's weight.
Awesome watch. I have the SARX015. This is obviously upgraded with a nicer clasp and crown. That color though. It looks so nice. Congrats!

Still in my regular rotation!
I've ordered the sarx047 after being inspired by this video. Thanks again for posting it. There really is almost no information out there about these.
That sarx047 dial looks to be a mesmerizing dark teal. Paired with that quality dark brown croco strap, it is drool worthy!
Judd Xavier yes it seems it is the first quality strap I'll have ever received from Seiko. We will see in a week or so. loxxrider How do you like your SARX045 now that you’ve had it for the better part of a year?
+hero definitely a mainstay in the rotation. Solid, sturdy and versatile on the casually dressy side.
beautiful dial and bracelet!
Very nice. Did you look at the SARX047? What is the difference between this and the SARX047 other than the band? Thanks.
+GothamCitySmoker the sarx047 has a different green/blue/teal dial vs 045's deep blue.
Great insight, alot of great angles, helluva good review, supposed to get mine today!!
Thanks for the review, haven't seen one for this watch yet. That dial is great!
What's your take on the white date?
It is a contrasty presence like a bright white sailboat boat in a deep blue sea of teak dial bliss. :-) Another way to look at it is the date window is photobombing an otherwise starkly elegant deep blue dial. I like the former as the contrast white background provides heightened date legibility making this a more sporty everyday watch.
This is a must have for me , can you tell me the weight by chance ?
153g
Great review. Like the outdoor shoots.
I have 6.3 inches wrist. Is it too big for me ?
Beautiful watch. I'm trying to decide between the Presage sarx and the Citizen Grand Classic. It is a tough choice I think.
I have both. Neither is a bad choice. I think the Citizen is a slightly nicer watch overall (28,800 bph, screw link bracelet, etc..), but I much prefer the look of the the Seiko.

If you have this you should not get the Sarb033. The bracelet is really subpar to say the least.
I was weighing up purchasing the sarx033.. But just discovered this model. Same movement however about $200 cheaper. Decisions....
where could you get this watch in US?
I got it from seiyajapan.com super fast shipping!
@@JuddXavier how much it costed 3 years ago?
@@signordon1987 $518 USD

It should fit an 8 inch just fine
Great looking watch! thanks for the video. I hadn't seen this one before and it is a great size.
Great review. Might just pull the trigger on this. Everything going for it but saw some negatives on the white date wheel. Is it obtrusive ? I may overlook it completely though but thought I shud ask. Best review on the tube for the 045. Thanks.

Well, It looks like I'll have to order one :) Thanks for the quick reply and sweet video.

I just decided to buy this. It's gorgeous
Thank you for your review. I agree great value for money.
Judd, where did you purchase this watch?
Seiya Japan

Judd Xavier Thank you :)
Not a big fan of the bracelet and I think the Onyx cabochon does not fit the watch, but what a great design overall...
great review. am thinking of this watch -but dude please wear white gloves no smudging
Really nice watch man!
Salamat...I have on one incoming and watched this 10x!
walang anuman pare!
Good Review. Thanks
I like the dial blue face. I dont like the bracelet and the white date. needs black croc strap with blue date window.
Love that watch It's SEIKO.
What's the daily accuracy of the watch??
It's pretty dang accurate it's plus 1-2 seconds a day!
Keep wiping it with the cloth and then rubbing your prints in!
Fuck me running that's a beautiful watch! The design is amazing, close to the Grand Seiko SBGX091 and 093... but at a fraction of the price. And, when you said "look at the dial," I stopped listening.
If they made this in 36mm, I'd buy it immediately.
I'm still not convinced by 40mm "dress" watches. I don't think I ever will be.
ChasingTruth TakingFlak I disagree. Depending upon your body size, arm length and wrists. Audemars Piguet has sold loads of a very expensive 40mm dress only Royal Oak dress watch.
Philly Cheese Take a big guy with a 36mm watch looks pretty ridiculous
The handset design kills it for me
Is it worth buying this non swiss made watch??no accuracy like rolex and all
vinay nagdev yes of coarse and why are you trying to compare a 500 usd watch to a 6700 usd watch
Inspired by the Omega Aqua Terra
muffemod only nicer
if only the crown was completely silver...
