I see an Urban Gentry video and I click. Perfect for the snow in the north east right now! I just got a PanoMaticLunar and it’s unbelievably beautiful. Such an amazing piece. Congrats! And keep up the great content
Oh man, I love the PanoMatic Lunar! It's so underrated! Enjoy it in good health, T. It's been wild watching your collection evolve so dramatically over the last year or so. Can't wait to see what's next!
Rolex is definitely a good watch but there is nothing unique about it. Everywhere you go, you see plenty of them in the secondary market shops. And the ADs or boutiques gave you the impression you need them more than they need you. This Panomatic is stunning. Congratulations 🎉
I'm glad you finally go a GO pano. Your videos covering the panomatic calendar introduced me watch brand and watch. I've been scouring the internet for a good deal on one since. I finally bought one last month for 66% of retail. Love the content, congrats on finally adding a panomatic lunar to the collection!
Congratulations! I just picked up my first Glashütte Original, the SeaQ Panorama Date stainless steel with black dial and I couldn’t be happier! I say “first” as I’m quite certain this will not be my only piece from Glashütte Original. Very much enjoying your content. Cheers!
Hi mate just wanted to thank you for teaching me about watches. I don’t own any watches but they do interest me and you’ve helped educate me. Thanks for the enthusiasm and entertainment.
Great to see you exploring and enjoying another German watch brand GO have some wonderful watches, including a very nice deck observation watch, which I love. I'm a big devotee of Stowa too, and have a couple of their pieces. It's the toolish and precise engineered look and quality of German watchmaking that I really admire. Even the dress watches have a tool watch feel.
Not me cup of tea but in good health mate. Picked up mint Seiko Grand Seiko's SBGF021 and SBGF019. 200m, jump hour hand, +/-10s a year, screw down crown, lumed hands/indices and that design ❤❤
That is a fantastic looking watch! I’ve always had a special fondness for moon phase complications and this one is tastefully done. Your grandfather’s pocket watch is my favorite part of your intros.
Gorgeous! Congrats! Strongly lusting after this exact watch (dial color and complication combination). Not sure what place in the queue I'll get to it...but I'll get to it! That's 2 of my top pieces you've recently picked up: Bregeut La Tradition and the GO PanoLunar. Starting my Bregeut saving as soon as I "officially" beat cancer in May. That's the obtainable grail, and the perfect occasion for it. All that to say that you have impeccable taste!
I am most certainly not in the "urban gentry " social circles, but I love your videos. I guess it's your love of watches for what they really are and not as a "flex." Keep up the good work. Blessings to you, sir.
Congrats on the new acquisition. It’s stunning. I love that as sophisticate as you are, you still have an appreciation for the comedic debauchery of Quagmire… As for the Subs, I feel almost no watch is safe in anyone’s collection…Thanks for another great video!
What an elegant and interesting watch! Totally agree about changing the strap. The suede is a nice touch. I've never considered a German watch before. However, sharing your knowledge of them has definitely got my attention. Thanks again, TGV, for another quality video.
I haven't watched one of your videos for such a long time and really enjoyed that, even more so based on a Glashutte! These watches have been on my radar for a few years now. They are absolutely stunning and having seen only a handful of second hand piece's in jewellers they have always instantly grab my attention. I also quite liked the fact people /friends haven't heard of the brand,in a weird way it's kinda like a watch fanatics secret handshake 🤣
Congratulations 🍾 Great watch! I am happy that you make next step in your journey, watch journey of course. I should knew that you choose something from Germany. I have still in my head your episodes with sinn 104. I know GO is a different league, but we are still improving our „skills” 😉 GO looks gorgeous on this swade strap 👌🏼 I always put my elegant watches and sometimes other watches on swade. Keep going!
Awesome, cool to hear that we own the same model, love my Panomatic Lunar! I have it on the bracelet, and will be looking for straps to pair with it to break up the silver color theme. Will check out that Fluco strap you mentioned. I do have a couple good Fluco straps already.
Incredible G.O. and the Breguet. I'm still waiting to get a Rolex, its either the Milguass or Explorer 2. I'm a fan of the "sixties" G.O. to enter the ring of fine German Engineering. Congratulations on an amazing PanoMatic Lunar.
Thank you! I did indeed look at it, but I felt I was veering into Tradition territory a little. Regardless, amazing watch non the less. More importantly, how do you feel about it? Best regards, TGV
@theurbangentry Oh I agree, and the Breguet is your most special piece so better not to compete. The Panoinverse really speaks to me as it is quite contrarian and unique in design and definitely a more obtainable price range.
Movie recommendation: the new Count of Monte Cristo film from last year features a closeup shot of a glorious Breguet pocket watch, with a nearly identical dial to their current Grand Feu Classique. Goes to show how timeless their watches truly are. As a Breguet owner I know you’d get a real kick out of it!
@ I enjoyed it, but they omitted an awful lot. But I guess that’s inevitable in any adaptation. I actually preferred the two-part Three Musketeers movies that were done by the same people. If you’re a Dumas fan i’d highly recommend them anyway!
@@jacquescoetzee47 I’ll have to search for the Musketeers films. I think there’s a Monte Cristo mini series released soon which might have time to cover the book in full. Hope so.
Love the watch. They have some amazing pieces. A small aside - Glashütte is glas-hütte which translates to Glassworks, a place where glass is manufactured.
TGV did you consider the pano reserve as well, I prefer the thinner profile and it has a bit more engraving on the movement, plus I don’t really ever set a moonphase
$10 says you have a five digit date Sub, by the end of the year. Also, excellent choice. The blue dial is my favorite of the pano. If you ever get a chance, I would love to see you do a video on the GO 1-36-01-03-02-01. As you would say, Pure Class, for a field watch.
Hi TGV, a beautiful watch. I keep saying I'm done buying new watches and then I think to myself that I haven't got a really nice dress watch, apart from my late father's 1948 Rotary. So, have you also sold your GMT Master 2? The watch I would definitely like to own is a new Seiko made in collaboration of Icom in Japan. They're celebrating 60 years in the business, and their special top end radio includes the watch for free. It is a £7K radio though 😂
Thank you Richard. The GMT has stayed, just the two subs have gone. My Explorer stayed too, my wife warned me NOT to sell it. Somehow the most British of Rolex IMO. I will check out the seiko, thank you for the heads up and the price warning! LOL of course its 7k! 🤦♂️ Happy hunting on the dress watch front, I'm not sure why, maybe because it's a genre that has some truly classy and also crazy designs, but looking for a dress watch is very fun. Enjoy it. Wow a 40s Rotary hey? I bet it's lovely. O&U! Best regards as always, T.
Always good to see your videos 👍 . GO make fantastic watches, but I don't understand why the time is on the left of the dial under the cuff leaving only the date and moonphase (or power reserve) visible unless the watch is fully exposed.
Bravo, another wonderful episode 👍, no wars and empires. It seems that you are veering away from vintage watches, and too bad no more Rolex, there are a lot of unbelievable vintage rolexes with remarkable complications. Personally, I will never sell them. Beautiful watches though, keep up the good work 👍
My wrist is 6.5, with the right strap like a short one from Holbens, they have a specialist section for us with skinny wrist, its a life saver. It wears great. I hope that helps, Thank you, Best regards, TGV
Classy new purchase. I love the way your collection is heading. Excellent that you’ve gone off Rolex. It’s a great brand, but too many people think it’s the absolute pinnacle of watches. They’re common. Look forward to you future purchases.
Gorgeous pick up, TGV! You have done well. I am sorry to see the Tudor Sub go, but it makes sense. The 5512 would be a better fit for your collection than the other one, but I hate to see a piece you have made so many memories with leave. Regardless, wonderful choice with the GO. It is superb. I find that my Rolex SkyDweller is unique enough to not be the typical Sub/GMT/Explorer and elicit the same feeling of trendy cliche as some other Rolexes do. Rolex is and always will be a staple. And my SkyDweller is my grail. It is my attained unobtainium. It is the centerpiece of my collection. It is joy. I adore all of my Tudors as well. I do see why you would enjoy exploring the more underrepresented pieces. Especially those such as your GO. Very well done. Thank you for such a fantastic video and excellent look into your ever evolving collection. Be well, my friend. Onward and upward!
Beautiful watch. Surprised you can read the time without glasses. I have issues with reading time on watches with white or silver dials without reading glasses. I now restrict myself to watches with dark dials and bright hands, which pretty much means black dials and white/silver hands. Those still work without any glasses, even indoors.
Coming up to my first year's anniversary of "serious" collecting and thinking about my watch choices, they keep changing. I love something one day and then can't stand it the next. I really need to adopt the blood in blood out policy like you, and I've kinda homed in on Bulova - more the Accutron line. I have learnt how to service them and fix their coils and movements, and it presents an interesting opportunity to create a complete collection of, well, all of them! I think, at the end of the day, you pays your moneys, you take your changes. He, who dares, wins! (thanks Del). I love the Breguet and it suits you but my goodness do I love this Glashutte. As per usual, love your videos and something I aspire to one day. Hope you're well. Ciao fratello.
Congratulations. Not just on the Glashütte Original, which is stunning, but also on moving towards more dressy and design-forward collecting philosophy. In recent years, I've cut down from 27 to 20 watches. This includes a move away from tools. From 5 dive watches, 2 field watches and a pilot, I now have two dive watches and one field. The rest are quite dressy affairs of a diminished diameter. I very much look forward to see where you end up in terms of tastes and designs. This was a cracking video. Enjoyed it very much. That being said: Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36mm in a funky color like aquamarine or pink is a good bang for buck these days. While a lot of Rolex is insufferably boring, I would not discount them completely. Regarding all roads leading to Germany: I've got a Mühle Glashütte Teutonia II, Nomos Ahoi Neomatik, and Hanhart 417ES Flyback, but Japan keeps pulling harder at my heartstrings.
Great choice for your new watch. The GO has been on my radar for ions and this version Is the one to go for in MHO. And for this price it's unbelievable! The amount of complications (not overly) is just right and the elegance is second to none at this price point or any other price point up to 20K. Wow!!!
Hi TGV. It's time to service a watch I have, but no one talks about places they trust for servicing. I don't know where to go. I don't trust the mailing system to not steal my watch I send out. This is a topic watch channels need to share. I live near Philly, but I don't know any places.
I have to admit, as amazing as they are, technically, they just are not my cup of tea looks wise. Sorry. Enjoy Tokyo, you jammy thing, it looks so amazing! Now that's more my cup of tea!!! Thank you, safe travels, Best regards, TGV
TGV, it’s what You wanted and made you happy. Thst is all you need to say if even that. I applaud your choice. Do what you as to do good sir. I am just happy to watch your content. Salutations from and wintery Belfast Northern Ireland 🇬🇧 Single Malt in hand 🥃
Excellent choice. Used GO is about the best quality out there. I thought you would go Jaquet Droze, Czapek or FP Journe. That Ripples watch from Speake-Marin was what I thought you would buy instead of the Breguet. That said, GO watches are finished beautifully for a lower cost than its Swiss equivalent. My dream would be a SeaQ in gold. If I had the cash, I would do that, a Czapek Antarctique, and an FP Journe Chronometre Bleu, only I would get it in brown. I could see swapping the Czapek for a Speake-Marin Ripples. But in reality my Aqua Terra is my most expensive watch, and I still wear my Seiko Astron and SPB240 more than everything else.
It’s a nice watch but too tubby. I prefer the Panoreserve which is manual version with the power reserve instead of the Moonphase. The grey dial is my favourite.
I love moon phase watches and this is a exceptional ,exquisite watch nothing wrong with a collection evolving. The Family guy bit had me laughing like a mad man.
Hi TGV! Congrats on this very nice watch. GO ist definitely a great and maybe better alternative to ALS. There is one detail on GO watches I couldn’t explain to myself. Why they choose to use the double G instead of GO on the rotor? Best regards, Claus
That is the perfect watch from the Pano collection. A great find for that price! It's nro 2 or 3 in my list. Was that the Impressions book I spied? You really ought to make an episode about watch books.
Love the design but it looks massive on your wrist. As I’ve aged the watches I wear have gotten smaller. I guess technically it’s been a journey back to where I started because they didn’t used to be as large as they are today.
I was mesmerized by the G/O too, but the tiny time telling hands seem counter intuitive to aging eyes. Instead I am looking at regulator watches from Garrick, Habring2, and Dornblüth & Sohn. I feel one of these would add an element to my collection that is truly unique.
The appeal is all about the panorama date and how the small wheel and big wheel move. It’s quite a chunky and highly polished watch which isn’t really my style. Also a chunky price even secondary
Rolex are amazing people go through stages, I can see you owning a 16570 Polar Vintage, No offence but don’t waste money on Piaget or Jacquet Droz, instead look at VC Patrimony or 49003/47001 Stunning and only 38mm! Great buys I remember your early videos you dreamt of the Submariner loll
Chunky little boy. I love the green and blue dial versions but it looks chunky and seeing it on your wrist it confirms it. Otherwise I would have picked one up.
Since I bought my PanoMaticLunar it has completely changed what I expect from higher end watches. At $10K+ (new) I expect an open caseback and great finishing.
Alright, I’m commenting and liking before I watch the video. Why? Because I absolutely love the PanoMaticLunar. It’s been on my list forever. It still is! I’m torn between a Cartier Santos and Glashutte Original PanoMaticLunar. Well, not really…definitely want both. But which color for which and which do I buy first and…. The Glashutte original is amazing and underrated.
Very elegant moonphase watch by GO although the trend of selling sports watches in order to buy dressy pieces raises some concerns from a tool watch guy´s perspective. BTW, I rewatched "Interstellar" today in the course of the 10 year anniversary IMAX cinema re-release. Great experience again despite the sound system being too loud up to the point of causing distortions in the music (old man talk). Enjoy your new purchase and have a great week! O&U Klaus
I love Fluco suede straps - they are very comfortable. I either wear my Reverso on a Hirsch lizard strap or the Fluco suede straps. Holbens has a great selection and they ship very fast! I’ll be curious about that the next watch and did you mention the Pelagos? The FXD does seem to be an honest dive watch.
Love it! I am going to try my G.O. on a rubber strap for a little bit (I know, I know….) but have a feeling I will soon decide it is just too informal for that watch.
Great choice in this watch selection, not quite my ideal, but you are the one wearing it. It delights you and you alone, as it should. Glasshütte Original is one of my favorite German watch brands as well. As you have said, ALS is a little out of my and most everyone else's reach. Well done, keep up the good work.
The GO is a lovely watch, I’ve been looking at them recently myself. Enjoy that beauty! Great video as always, by far my favourite watch channel, I far prefer your classy style of presentation, rather than being shouted at by certain other presenters!
Another masterpiece! It really does go well with the Breguet. A great history and quality from that region of Germany! 🇩🇪 Breath-takingly beautiful watch! Can't wait for the next stage of this horological journey!
2 videos in a single week? you're going to spoil us, haha, pretty interesting video as always, that's one of my favorite GO models by far, it's pretty clean.
lol, at 44mm with 16mm thickness and the beautiful Fibonacci dial in white, the GO is anything but discreet 😂. But its a gorgeous watch regardless. Congratz !!!
One of my favorite watches. Hoping to buy one of these in the future. Hoping they don’t get too popular and cause the price to rise but would take one over a Rolex any day. Beautiful watch and the movement looks increadible

He’s balling shot calling
Wow!!!
Congratulations, this watch with the blue dial is my grail watch. Just an outstanding watch
Hi TGV.
It's time to service a watch I have, but no one talks about places they trust for servicing. I don't know where to go. I don't trust the mailing system to not steal my watch I send out. This is a topic watch channels need to share.
I live near Philly, but I don't know any places.
Absolutely beautiful. Any interest in parting ways with the strap? I’ve been looking for one of those for my SeaQ 39.5
TGV, Have you considered buying a watch from H. Moser? I am going to be looking at the Pioneer when I'm in Tokyo in a couple weeks.
I have to admit, as amazing as they are, technically, they just are not my cup of tea looks wise. Sorry. Enjoy Tokyo, you jammy thing, it looks so amazing! Now that's more my cup of tea!!!
Thank you, safe travels,
Best regards,
TGV
TGV, it’s what
You wanted and made you happy. Thst is all you need to say if even that. I applaud your choice. Do what you as to do good sir. I am just happy to watch your content.
Salutations from and wintery Belfast Northern Ireland 🇬🇧
Single Malt in hand 🥃
What does horological nirvana and striving after the wind have in common?
Did I miss the Frederique Constant big date moon phase power reserve review??
My 114270 and 14060m are lifers in the collection. Owned them both since 2003 and 2002 and still not board of either in the slightest 😉
It’s a nice watch but too tubby. I prefer the Panoreserve which is manual version with the power reserve instead of the Moonphase. The grey dial is my favourite.
Congratulazioni per aver migliorato la tua collezione.👍
Maybe it's time to do a review of the Pacino/Heat Bvlgari Diagono Chrono? 🤔That's one I keep dallying with getting...
Best regards,
Claus
I hope you still have the Explorer 😄
Amazing watch and great call on the strap TGV! I'd love to see all the strap options you'd recommend nowadays.
Cheers!
Good to know some things in life are consistent.👍🏿
My brother and I talked about the smaller time keeping hands what we really like is the larger date window that’s what we have a problem saying cheers
Those brands have awesome pieces. You could also check out GO Senator Chronometer Regulator. ;-)
@@brentl.vaneaton6901The large date is spectacular on that watch! Of course I think the movement is pretty special to look at too! 😁
The appeal is all about the panorama date and how the small wheel and big wheel move. It’s quite a chunky and highly polished watch which isn’t really my style. Also a chunky price even secondary
Also, you hardly ever get any handfinishing for this price. The bridge is engraved by hand. @@frogsplorer
Great choice. :)
I also bought big date complication, but from Ebel. NOS 1911 Big Date Automatic. Great alternative for Rolex DJ or Tudor 1926.
Ive got my eye on a used Panoreserve.
As close as im ever going to get to a Lange 1.
Perfect strap choice. Amazing watch.

I know we all love watches but was that an art deco Junghans desk clock?
Awesone watch! I think Glashütte calls it a 2/3 rotor. Edit: What do you think of Blancpain?
🙌🙌🙌 Thank you! I really should have watched my own bloody review before the unboxing, I was too excited LOL.
Best regards
TGV
Sono uno dei cinque che ha colto la citazione del Califfo!
Grande Tristano, ti seguo sempre con piacere 🙌🏻
The GO is a lovely watch, I’ve been looking at them recently myself. Enjoy that beauty!
Great video as always, by far my favourite watch channel, I far prefer your classy style of presentation, rather than being shouted at by certain other presenters!
Love the Panomatic Lunar. It’s been on my wish list for a long time, and I am sure will stay there for a very long time. haha
Beautiful watch! But I suspect you will regret losing the Bluesy in the future. Cheers.
Great video. What do you think about IWC?
Congratulations! Two heavy hitters in a row! 👍
Love that PanomaticLunar! Amazing value! Congrats, TGV! Our best export products are watches now that our car industry is dying!
where do you sell your watches?
Another masterpiece! It really does go well with the Breguet. A great history and quality from that region of Germany! 🇩🇪 Breath-takingly beautiful watch! Can't wait for the next stage of this horological journey!
YEAH BABY!!! Glashutte rules!!! Nice find.
Is the old clasp for sale?
I think you’d be a IWC Novecento kind of guy or Blancpain Villeret. Neo-vintage watches from the 1990s are really undervalued.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Love it, thank you, great recommendations, you know your stuff.
Best regards
TGV
2 videos in a single week? you're going to spoil us, haha, pretty interesting video as always, that's one of my favorite GO models by far, it's pretty clean.
Strong start!😆
Love that F77 Meteorite. Saving up now.
lol, at 44mm with 16mm thickness and the beautiful Fibonacci dial in white, the GO is anything but discreet 😂. But its a gorgeous watch regardless. Congratz !!!
One of my favorite watches. Hoping to buy one of these in the future. Hoping they don’t get too popular and cause the price to rise but would take one over a Rolex any day. Beautiful watch and the movement looks increadible
Just arrived from a day at the sea (canoeing and diving) with my Orient Solartech diver, this is just what I needed to relax at the couch. Onwards and upwards!
BTW, just bought the waffle strap from WCWC, got it in blue and green. Unbelievable quality!!
👏👏👏👏 Pure class combo. Thank you and enjoy.
Best regards,
TGV
Nice to see divers getting wet [as intended]!
