Trauma surgeons see this type of crap all the time, they know the biggest thing is getting blood into them as soon as possible, everything else does not matter, my brother got shot at point blank range through his gut and they had a bunch of his entrails out on examining them to see which could be saved and what needed to be cut out and sown up, the biggest issue was not having the wound become infected afterward because the gut has alot of bacteria and infection can ultimately kill if not treated correctly.

It's fairly simple in a disgusting way. These people are typically outcasts with mental illness and want recognition. We coddle these mental illnesses and pretend like it's totally fine with little to no support from the juggernaut that is the American health care system. Since most folks just can't afford the care, they go unchecked. It only takes a one or two of these nut jobs to show our society will put them on a pedestal and give them the attention they want, regardless of how they got there. Now the kid is famous forever, all because we ignore mental health and talk about the killers instead of the victims.

Don’t judge someone as “strong” just because she didn’t have “a crack in her voice.”
Some people who have gone through trauma, end up being stoic and don’t show many emotions from not being able to “feel” anymore.
It’s ok if she did “have a crack in her voice,” cried, etc..it would be perfectly normal and expected from what she experienced.
So tired of hearing, “no emotions=strong.”
Also, I noticed that both she and her brother seem to have that same stoic expression. It could just be their normal personality to not show much emotion through their facial expressions. They usually get this from one or both of their parents like it’s just a genetic thing in their family.
