@@sara31773 The juror Denise Cunha violated her oath, as early in the deliberation and even before considering the aggregators and mitigation she said she's a hard no. Two others followed her when her no would have been enough to ruin justice. It's the super liberal Broward County ruining their community. Any objective person looking at the scale would have said the aggregators outweighed the mitigation and death is the verdict.... ........ ......... ... The killer is 24. He's already imprisoned for 4 years. If we assume he lives until he's 80, that's basically 3.5 years per victim. ...Should have been death if it wasn't for the silly unanimous requirement (which FL Supreme Court said no longer required) in the super liberal county of Broward. I don't want to pay for his food, heating and the costly end of life care old people get in jails. Should have been a death sentence. A judgement of death (even if not administered until some 15 years later) would have been a value judgement on what he did, unlike what happened here, where his life was worth more than all 17 victims. This is a killer who searched on google "good songs to hear while killing people" before he went to that school. And the mitigation case was thoroughly debunked. 👉🏿 The problem is Broward county is a liberal county, and Before 2016, no unanimous decision was required for death sentences in Florida. The Florida Supreme Court initially erred by saying unanimity is required, before reversing it 2020. In between, the legislature amended the law to comply with the court ruling in 2016, but didn't restored the simple majority rule after 2020. I think the legislature will react quickly and restore the simple majority rule or 9-3 or anything. You know what you sign up for when you serve on death penalty jury. @@galadrielwoods2332 exactly! Their lives changed for as long as they live. Death of a child is the worst thing that can happen to parents, add that their child was slaughtered at school takes it to whole other level. My heart goes out to each parent, family member and friends. I have no words for the murderer.

Crediting his time served towards his 34 consecutive sentences was a nice touch. Can’t believe how long that trial took but now his fate is truly sealed. Absolutely monster

Good job, judge. Poor, poor families. No justice but the judge did the best she could. She's exhausted too.
