Thanks! Simulator comes from SCCS website and I think you can get it again now. I downloaded it long time ago and then couldn't find it. This weekend I'll go through the net again and if found will add it to the description :)
Working with another company, they issue me a Topcon GT Robotic Station and Tablet with Magnet Field Software. I really liked this software it would let you edit your instrument height even after setting up, working on vertical buildings this is a great feature, I had elevation benchmarks on every floor, after setting up my instrument on zero height with orientation or points, I could do a any surface shot to the elevation benchmark of the floor I was, do the calculation and edit the instrument height, for example if you're on 3rd floor your benchmark is 154ft, you shoot it and it gives you -1.3ft elevation result, that means your instrument height is 155.3ft, so you could edit the instrument height to 155.3ft for the rest of that set up you have elevation, Leica Captivate won't let you edit instrument height after set up, you can only play with your target height, which is what I do now, I wish the Captivate would change this.
I worked with Tocon too, not bad. I need to double check the Captivate but I believe I was changing tue target height like you say, although in old good TS06 I actually was changing in station 😁
@@jayganesh7167 I'll have a look what the app has to offer, but once I have targets with heights that all I need, unless there is some really cool stuff about the app
Hi fantastic channel real appreciate the information you providing. When doing a resection using retro targets is it better do I select the option of measure any surface?
It's not better, but you can use it. I always try to use a retro target mode as this actually makes sure you shoot the targets right (if something will be on the way a bit, or the angle is bad retro mode won't give you the reading), but of course I use 'any surface' mode often myself as the targets are far etc (any surface and retro tape is the same constant)
I found it on some old opical website I think, they are G2 survey now, bit you have to look online. I am working now on getting available on my page, but we’ll see 🤞
Hi Mo! I wouldn't be worried too much about the weather when setting out for jobs I am showing. Most important is to focus on all other things. Please remember that you can put the info about the weather when you set up your TS and it will compensate for the weather.
Hi, I am a looking to learn the total station so pls suggest which institution i should go for around Birmingham. I am a graduate from Wolverhampton University but i went to india after course and now i am back here so looking to learn total station which is like a prerequisites here for site engineer job. Pls help.
Hello Greg. I'm currently a ground worker with some op tickets. Do you need any degree to become an Engineer or experience with CSCS card enough? Thanks!

Hi. I have a question. I am a engineer from British army with degree in survey engineering, know how to use kit and have done construction jobs in army for last 15 years. I am now a manager with project management qualification and also degree in construction. Would I find site engineering job OK. Also I want to live in Lithuania and only work in UK for one project a year like 4 or 5 months. Would it be likely I could work weekends as well while I am over
It's possible, but you will have to contact agencies etc. I was thinking of doing the same TBH. Probably that would be a setting out engineer/site engineer roles but it's doable. Senior roles are for longer. Most of companies (frames) are busy in the season and they're often need extra engineers, but you would have to look for work yourself anyway. You can try JRL for start as I know many army people got a opportunity there - you don't have to tell them straightaway you look only for few months 😁
Hello Sir , What Lenses do you recommend to purchase for the Leica TS16 For Far Targets ? As I Have an Issue doing an As Built on Precast Elmids Due to Hight of imbeds , its difficult to get an accurate pebbles at the pole and get a good shot .. Recommendations Please
hi brother I am manikanta good with great content I am from India I want to learn to buy this TS 16 what is the price and is there any learning courses about Leica Total station and surveying universities
Hi Manikanta! Thanks! There are some courses, but can't really recommend as I didn't do any of them :) There are unis as well offering surveying degrees, but unfortunately I don't really know too much about it. Wish you all the best and hope you'll find what you're looking for!
Uk is definitely good and there is a need for engineers still, but guys don't think jobs are waiting for you here, you have to put effort to find a job still
There are loads of office job, so not sure what do you mean by that. You have to look for assistant PM jobs maybe if you want to spend more time in the office.
Depends what job you want to do really. If it's engineering, definitely AutoCAD, maybe Navisworks, A-site or 4 project etc and micrososft package always whatever you will be doing. If it's management you might need to know some soft to create and edit job programmes etc
What a legen professional surveyor thank u sir for ur series lectures.
Thank you for the comment 👍👍
Very informative. Thanks a lot😊

Hi Greg. What's the ideal laser plum intensity of a ts 16? Or you have no need to adjust it when you receive your EDM from the supplier? Thanks.
Hi Jerome!
Whatever you need really if you’re using it. It will be default set, yeah. Are you using it, or do you mean EDM laser?
Okay Greg thanks. What I mean is the Laser Plum. Intensity shown on the screen when you bubble level the instrument.
Sir, In some of TS-16 having auto measure Height of Instrument option. For that, we want to install that option separately?
Might be an extra app, I am not sure as I don’t use this option
