@@NDTRC great system, but for 40-50$ less I would try the castle, I’m still on lower gearing and going faster then the vxl so eventually you should give castle a shot
Groovy video ya'll, I just upgraded my brushed 4tec 2.0 to that castle system & it's crazy fast. I think the castle is better tho in a lot of ways & cuz it would have been the same price as the castle if I traded in my old brushed combo for the velineon
@@nsvaluto48328 so on my system right now the motor is 4600kv it can get a little warm on slash gearing so that’s why I recommend you get the 3800kv instead, you can run a 23 tooth pinion and a 86 tooth spur and on a good 3s you should get close to 60mph+
@@insanerc9585 I got the 3800kv. my speed controller has a built in fan. with my slash having the audio im nervous I wouldn't have a enough channels to plug in the fan. Maybe I'll use a y splitter.
you should try having some still shots the hole video doesn't need to be moving shots. also if you have a go pro you can stick it on the car then do a filter then play some music. other then that great video
Everyone knows velines are crap they are over priced pos , the castle is such a quality motor they run cool the esc never let you down on the other hand velines run hot the esc catch fire and burn out just look at the case it's plastic how much heat is that gonna dispatch like none the only thing I'd give a veline is they are quick motors but don't be fooled most cheap ass brushless motors will still be fast my cheap ass redcat blackout sc pro that i got my brother for his birthday has a better motor than that veline brushless and it's a cheaper short course truck that will woop any Traxxas slash ass , buy a castle guys they have been making electric motors way longer than Traxxas you can't beat the quality

Depends which KV you get for the motor but sidewinder 4 will have longer runtimes and stay cooler then VXL
