@@Bubbles99718 No it’s not. It’s saying that’s a shallow ho that you’re better off without. But I can see taking offense if you have simped and shaved it for one.
Same with long hair. I've cut my hair for a girl and we got back together for a very short time and then she was gone again and so was my hair. Don't change for women. It's not why they got with you so don't change for them.
I have had my daughter's friends literally critique my beard to my face. If you ever want to get your ego checked let a 19 year old go on about how your beard makes you look old, until she says it makes you look like you are in your late 40s when your actually in your late 50s, lol!
The young woman with blonde hair was so lovely, expressive, charismatic, had so much humour, tons of giggles and was very relatable with her answers. You can tell she was having a great time admiring and rating Beards with you. 😌💖
Heavy stubble (if it was an option) would have won against everything for attractiveness. Short beard would be second best. Often what guys want to wear isn't what women consider attractive. But it doesn't matter. You do what you want. As a man with now a wife with 2 kids, and past ladies, Its the confidence and the fact that you take care of yourself that matters.
women like that stubble look until the man tries going down on her with that porcupine chin poking them. Women hate a stubble face when that's going on. Most women prefer a Man who's well kept. Someone who shaves their upper cheeks and necks, not to mention keeps those scraggly woolly Bully beards trimmed. But I also believe every woman loves to have her ass tickled by a long beard when she's being pleasured.
Its form over function. Studies show 5 o clock stubble is most attractive, but it hurts when close. Just like big breasts are more attractive but no more useful (for their actual intention) than smaller breasts. Id rather get the girl and deal with her complaining about my stubble hurting then have no beard or too much beard and be alone. Just like most women would rather have a guy that likes her for her larger breasts than have small breasts and get no attention.
@@nightmaster6381 a stubble beard is more comparable to a girl going down on you with an over bite and tearing you up like a black & decker pecker wrecker.

This needs more thumbs up. It's interesting to see their reactions, but we need to make sure we aren't trying to figure out what's best to emulate from those reactions.
Most people don’t know how hard is to get good beard and maintain it. When I see someone with a great beard I will always compliment them, as it takes huge dedication and work. Brushing, oiling and so on. It is not just a one time visit to a barber LOL.
@@stj971 As someone that's had multiple large beards, this guy is right. Either 1: You haven't grown a beard large enough/cannot grow a full one. Or 2: You have a specific hair type that allows for easy beard care. Many men, specifically like the first one, have to fanny around a lot to get it to work. I recently shaved mine off as it was literally too much work to keep maintained, and I wasn't even doing everything I needed to. Also, beard oil is mainly for the skin under the hairs where face cream cannot get to, to moisturise it. Beard oil isn't just a faddy thing. Also, butter is essentially conditioner, it's viable to use. Lastly, wax is 100% viable, many men have to use it depending on what they have. I know I do, I currently have a mustache. You may trim beards yourself, however, trimming them and having one that's hard to keep in shape are two different things. I have to train my mustache or it goes out of shape. I spend like, 10 mins a day brushing it outwards. Also, styling someone's facial hair just the once and caring for a beard long-term, are two very different things.
@@maximusstorm1215he’s not right and anecdotes aren’t valid. Beards just goes, if you’re going for a specific look then yeah you need to style it but otherwise it’s literally just genetics and testosterone level
Male beards are the direct comparison of female nails manicure. They're useless but they're a symbol of beauty in the eyes of the same sex: beards are mostly appreciated by other men and long nails are appreciated by other women. Moral of the story: do what you prefer and don't think about the others PS: the comment below is far more real and correct. Don't take my words too seriously
That's a good way to put it but I believe hearing studies most women preferred guy with light stubble just like id imagine most men would prefer women with longer but not over the top nails so it probably makes a difference for opposite sex attraction too
Moral of the Story is do what you want if you like it but I add dont complain if you don't attract the partner that you want because they might not want you. I think you're advice is kind of dangerous because men's and women's standards for attractiveness are different. A very attractive woman would date a guy with a long beard who is fat, short and older if he has enough money and can take care of her. On the other hand a very accomplished man wouldn't date a woman with features that aren't desirable like long nails for most men even if she is pretty. Ofc I'm talking im generalities here there are always exceptions.
I disagree. For the most part I guess I could see how you’re right, but a beard can also cover up or enhance a lacking jaw and add beauty to a man’s face
As an Islander 🇯🇲 , most men of color do not groom their beard. It is not shunned as unkempt....It is not a fashion statement or a fashion statement. It's cultural.
It's interesting what men find to be an impressive or attractive beard may not be so impressive or attractive to women. I would love to see the same video with an older aged group of women. You're onto something with this sort of content! Its...helpful lol. Subbed.

I am 38. I have a beard and mustache that rivals any of these guys. My mustache is unkept, over lip and wild. I promise you boys they all love it. I can tell you from experience, all women age 20-80 absolutely love a big beard. The very few that hate it usually aren't worth your time anyway

There are guys who think they can't grow a beard, due to patches, but let it grow out 6 months and you will be so surprised how it fills in, because that was my case.
Some of the guys at work wear some really majestic beards. It's mostly the warehouse workers, and especially those who work in the freeze warehouse. One of the guys even had his beard braided and it still went to the middle of his chest.

No one flattering themselves just standing up for men who when we worry about what women think and let rule who we are as men instead of being who we are as individuals having our own self-worth and self-respect and being confident in who we are whether tall , short , fat or skinny, beard or clean face. Men can't dictate to women who and what they should be, then why are we allowing them to do it to us. Especially when being a man is almost a sin, and the term toxic masculinity is being used to describe manhood. Yes, you're right. I have been married and married for 23 years. Thank God because dating in this age is too complicated. Instead of loving someone for who they are, we try to make them into what we want them to be. And change who we are to satisfy someone else
To any guy out there who is being criticised for having facial hair at all either a goatee or a full beard it is YOURS and you decide what to do with it, never let anyone especially women tell you what to do with it, luckily I married a woman who loves my beard and she would never be as hurtful as the girls in this video have been in the same way I would never criticise her hair length because we actually respect each other
I love my Scandinavian bloodlines! I shave once a year, in mid to late spring before it gets too hot. I grow an impressive beard like Eric's, same reddish color!!!
My beard is about half white now. I'm digging Greg's white beard. There was a point I hated it turning white but I've had a beard for 20 years, so I guess I just got used to it.
Your name is obviously Polish, but your daughter looks middle eastern. I'm curious what the mix is. I'm Greek, Slavic, German, French, & Puerto Rican = I've been full grown & able to grow a beard since 8th grade.. my girl is Lebenese & Syrian so we're deathly afraid our daughter will be able to grow a beard too 🤣
I was picking up groceries from the store and had a woman walk by with her kid, and she said my kid and I like your beard. I got an ego boost telling my ol lady about it later
Tapered beards around 4-6 inches, with shorter [than the beard] or curled mustaches, and shaved necks are an amazing look! I prefer not to touch them, though, at all. I'm 37. I had a friend that would straighten the hair in his beard and that was good-looking, too.
Greg. You are blessed with a beautiful, intelligent, charming daughter. You're a good dad. She is right that women in their 20s don't like beards. I've heard this a number of times. Sometimes I wonder if men grow big beards to impress other guys lol...

Interesting results, I currently have a 6 month beard (longest one yet) along with 3.5 years of head hair growth. I often wonder if I should trim my beard back to an executive beard length or heavy stubble. I didn't realize women may perceive long hair and a long beard combo as "too much hair", but that is interesting to know. My main issue is that I am more into the all natural look meaning I have merely just left it all alone aside from the occasional neck trim with my hair clippers. I don't like having a manicured look due to the time, I'd rather keep it simple so I think I answered my own question in that I am probably better off with heavy stubble. I'm 39, but I look super young without a beard and about my age or slightly older with a beard (thanks to a mix of gray/white/brown in my beard). Ultimately, do what YOU want with your hair/beard...but at the same time I am wanting to increase my dating odds a hair.
I never had a problem getting laid with long hair and a short 2" to 3" beard. I kept my Stash trimmed. Women hate it when your top lip is hidden by a bushy long stash. Stubble face will make her feel like you're poking her privates with needles if you're going down on her. A beard or a smooth shave makes women climb the walls when you're going down on them. but oral skills are always a must either way.
Idk about most women. For me its either shaven or bearded. The in between is sandpaper on the face 🤣 for me its about what compliments the persons features better. My guy has been both with and without beard and i dont mind. I like to pet the beard and play with it 🤣🤣🤣 he says its too white for his age (late thirties). Granted he looks super young without a beard. But....i do like the beard better 🤣 but not on other men. Some guys look better shaven. So everything is subjective. As long as the guy is not scratching he should do whatever he likes the best
I'm like you. I like the natural look and don't manicure it much except the neck hair. I also have long hair and I have had many women take to me bc of my hair/beard combo. I'm a biker so it comes with the territory. I'm not a big guy so it's not like my size is an advantage like most 6' tall men. I'm 5'9" at best. Anyhow I'm in my late forties and don't really care much about dating as I did when I was younger. I just want to have my freedom.
I didn’t realise how early I was able to grow a full beard. Had a full, non-patchy beard by 18. I was under the impression that most men just didn’t want to grow them in the late teens/early twenties, but I guess I might be far more lucky then I’d previously thought 🙂
Yeah some guys cant grow full beard even when older, i had to shave in 8th grade, by 18 had a chest full of hair, by 20 had some on my back, in my 40s now and i dont even wanna say all the places where it grows 😅, it's all genetics and for some folks medical issues and we shouldn't judge guys just because of inability to grow beard or size of their p.... or boldness, or judge women for same biological traits they were born with. But yea you could say you are lucky 😁
I was shocked at this at first as I thought the women were in their early to mid 30's. So I was expecting them to not have as many no's to beards. Like others have said it will be very interesting to hear older women's opinions. Similar to fashion, tastes definitely change with age. I always find it funny when fashion channels do something similar to this and all the young women prefer sportswear over suit jackets. Good video
Great video. I've been watching you guys since high school. I'm currently 21 and can't grow a full beard. I have some coverage on my cheeks and low coverage on my chin. My cheeks also don't connect with my chin and mustache. I'm currently growing my beard and it is a little over three weeks now. I want to go for the yeard but it takes a lot of commitment. I was inspired by Jack Milocco growing his yeard. The problem is that I don't know if my family will like it because they don't want me to have a long beard.
Most people just react poorly to change. Any change. Once they get used to it it just becomes part of you and you is what matters most, not your beard or lack thereof.
I'm 31/32. Don't judge your beard too harshly till your 25+. Mine came in slowly too. My cheeks are a little thinish, but it all connects and looks fine on me (profile pic is like 23 btw. I'm just lazy and haven't changed it). Point is, don't judge your beard harshly when you're young. Just keep it shorter and more trim for the time being. It's all good.
I’m a millennial who loves men with beards! My bro made me appreciate it :) my bro started growing facial hair at the very young age, I would say 15. He’s got a full beard now. When he clean shaves, he looks weird AF, but with a beard, it makes him look good and very masculine very manly. He’s 27 years old.
Same. I was clean shaven my entire adult life up until somewhat recently. I'm 41 and now have a heavy beard and this is the most attention I've ever gotten from women in my entire life. It's not even close. I'm still in shock.
It takes me about a year to grow a beard & about a month in it itches 24/7 for weeks. Funny how people ask me if I'm trying to grow a beard 3 weeks in. I shave twice a week at most. It would take me 20 years to grow a ZZ Top beard.
My wife said she hated beards when she was in her 20s. Now shes late 30s and will go out buy me beard oil and balm etc. and even trims it for me. She loves my full beard (im able to grow one overnight, its a gift and a curse lol). But yeah, I dont think girls in their 20s are the ones most of us guys are trying to impress. We want women in their 30s n 40s n 50s (or just our wives!) to love them as much as we do! Please do a video of those age groups 🙏🤙
What I most admire about a man regardless of whether he has a beard or not. Is how he takes care of himself! If he has a beard and it's well taken care of i.e he puts product on it. He has it trimmed regularly. He doesn't look scraggly. Is fabulous!! I don't mind long hair on men as long as it's clean and it looks like he's put effort in making his hair look nice. I don't mean spending a couple hours on it. I mean at least combing it and making it look like he takes care about himself. That goes equally for women. 😏
The long hair beard look of the host is sooo grand and perfect on him. It's a rare look not even one can pull that. I liked his look on that and his currect look. 😀 The one chosen by the girls don't even look like him.
I felt it when he said "About 2 weeks for Carlos". I am the same way and my father is also the same. Maybe it's a Carlos thing? All 3 of us have the same name 😂
Girls love my long curly hair...I'm 25 so the beard is still developing...My father always had a full shaved face, but he has capillars covering the 100% of the beard area, so I guess my genetics for a beard are pretty good.
There is also a cultural component at play here. In some cultures the length of the beard is seen to be a reflection of one's spiritual connection or even one's intelect/wit/wisdom. There are as many ways to interperet a beard as there are cultural perspectives in the world.
I've grown a beard very similar to the gentleman hosting this video, a two month beard, and I found more often than not that most women that I've met didn't like it and thought it looks disheveled and scraggly, even though I trim it very well. Maybe it's me, I don't know.
I must be you. It’s not as uncommon as you think for a man in his early 40s to be in a relationship with a woman in her mid to late 20s. A man’s sexual market place value peaks much much later than women’s.
women find stubble to be most attractive but big beards = dominance, wisdom etc. so while u may look hotter with no beard, a well groomed big beard means people think you can take charge
My dad has a legendary beard and he's at the age now where he has an awesome silver fox colouring in it which makes him more gentlemanly in my eyes. When I started getting facial hair around 12-13 he constantly encouraged me to keep shaving. I know alot of people think it's a myth that shaving encourages growth but I've read up on it even more and I am now among the lines of shaving absolutely encourages growth, I'm a great example. I have a full face beard and I am 18, I've been able to have a thick goatee since I was 16 though and it shocks me that people that are 6-7 years older than myself including my best friend struggle. Genetics play a part sure, but I'll always say if you want a big thick beard, keep shaving and it'll come
It's very interesting to me the ideas of attraction. Personally I love it when my husband's beard is longer and sorta "scruffy" as I call it, and his head is buzzed. Somehow that combination just changes his face alot.
My beard naturally turns inward at around 1.5” of length, but as soon as it gets longer it naturally switches and grows outward, and no oils or product can tame it, maybe a straightening iron but that’s about it.
Yes, I agree with Mr. Smith and others (the comments before mine) BUT, I think it was a great process for sure..and always I really enjoy you Greg, like Eric always looking for true feedback, good or not so good...kudos. BeardBrand Alliance is a super channel...one of my favorites.
Who cares what women think? They clearly don't care one way or the other. Just be confident in yourself. If your growing a huge beard to land a girlfriend you've got issues and it's not going to help. Do it for yourself if your going to do it.
I've had buzz cuts to waist length hair and all kinds of facial hair. I agree with others, it would be nice to hear opinions from different aged women. I'm 52 and have been slowly going gray from medium dark brown hair and dark brown with red beard, now very grayed chin. The longer my beard, the more pronounced the gray.
The (Dad's) 8 years ago beard, stach and hair lets his great eyes take center stage! Would look great with current silver color now as well. Love silver and white hair!!!
I’m glad Greg searches for clarity when the girl says scraggly about Carlos‘s beard because Carlos has the least scraggly have any beard on earth. Yeah, I don’t think the young lady knows the definition of the word. correct me if I’m wrong, but scraggly would be thin or wispy or not much hair and just unattractive. Possibly dry and brittle. Carlos definitely does not have any of those negative qualities in his beard
Greg! I absolutely love your beard! I agree with your daughter's critique on Eric's long beard. I like beard lengths liks yours. I;m 57. My late father grew a beard after he was medically retired from the Army. My daughters never saw him without a beard.

My beard comes in sort of like Erick's in terms of color and curl, except I'm blond lol. Fun fact, nearly a 4th of all blond men have a different color beard. My hair has darkened to be almost brown over the years so the contrast isn't as jarring for people as it once was. I grew my beard long for the first time last year and...well I like how it looked but I didn't like how old it made me look. Maybe I'll give it another shot, I dk.

My experience is women hate heavy stubble because it scratches their face when they're close.
@@ufcivil yes! Its sandpaper.

As a 46 year old woman, I love seeing a long, full beard on a man. It exudes masculinity.
Most people don’t know how hard is to get good beard and maintain it. When I see someone with a great beard I will always compliment them, as it takes huge dedication and work. Brushing, oiling and so on. It is not just a one time visit to a barber LOL.
I am a men's stylist, that's all hype.

I’m 42, with a larger beard, long mustache and get waaay more compliments from girls than I ever did in my 20s and 30s when I was always smooth shaved
Same. I was clean shaven my entire adult life up until somewhat recently. I'm 41 and now have a heavy beard and this is the most attention I've ever gotten from women in my entire life. It's not even close. I'm still in shock.
Very interesting. Now let’s see what women in their 30’s and 40’s think?
It takes me about a year to grow a beard & about a month in it itches 24/7 for weeks. Funny how people ask me if I'm trying to grow a beard 3 weeks in. I shave twice a week at most. It would take me 20 years to grow a ZZ Top beard.
The few weeks itching goes away but comes back for me once it's about 4" long for couple of weeks again. We're all probably different.
Probably closer to five years for a ZZ top beard, though if you've got an unmanageably kinky beard you'd probably need to straighten it.
Great video! Always enjoy listening to a "Greg talking about beards" video!!!🔥
I’ve had a full beard since I was 17. I remember going into junior year with a nice beard and haircut. Let’s just say girls noticed me more lol

My dad has a legendary beard and he's at the age now where he has an awesome silver fox colouring in it which makes him more gentlemanly in my eyes.
12:22 Shades of Nigel Green ( Hercules ) Jason and the Argonauts. ☺
Next do early 30s and then maybe early 40s? This is a neat video that could be a small series
I'd like to think I'm not alone when I say I would not want to get into a staring contest with Greg. I feel like he could stare deep into your soul and remove it
We need this with Ava's mom's friends
My beard comes in sort of like Erick's in terms of color and curl, except I'm blond lol. Fun fact, nearly a 4th of all blond men have a different color beard. My hair has darkened to be almost brown over the years so the contrast isn't as jarring for people as it once was. I grew my beard long for the first time last year and...well I like how it looked but I didn't like how old it made me look. Maybe I'll give it another shot, I dk.
Funnily enough, my Da had red-brown hair, a red beard and a dark blond moustache.
@@Decster4everer yeah, while less common, it does happen with brown haired people. I think I even heard of it happening with black hair, but I could be remembering wrong
7:06 Dang, thats a year? I can shave first thing in the morning and have 5 o’clock shadow and 9am. I hate razor burn and go through a couple of disposable razors each shave because my beard is like a thick forest of wire. At two months, my beard is like is slightly shorter than the guy’s in the photo. I ended up going to straight razors because it was much easier to bring the edge back with a strop or hone and not have to buy more disposable razors to throw away after one use!
I'm at ZZ Top status these days and well groomed. I can't imagine going without it now and every single compliment, and I mean EVER, has come from another man. We appreciate the effort and commitment required. Women do notice and appreciate the care involved but I believe it's the first judgement factor on your character. You do actually need to not give a fuck about other's perceptions to pull it off and not feel a certain way. It is perfect for me personally and I Love it and wear it proudly and carry it as an extension of my inner Viking warrior aka masculinity aka toxic masculinity with the "woke" crowd. Just fuck around and find out hahahah...I just do what I want and it's that simple. Take care of the beard guys, but absolutely let it hang out and show your true lion mane. Let that first character judgement be one of zero fucks because that's where each hair is rooted, the land of ZF. Safety tip: Pay close attention to things otherwise less observed, such as moving parts or anything you can close your beard in, believe me it sucks a little.
I'd love to grow my beard long, But I like the thought of getting laid more, so I'll just keep my beard trimmed for now. But someday I may just grow it long anyway. You only live once, But getting laid is a top priority for me right now. I fear I might beat myself to death if I tried growing it out.
@@thebluesrockers True. If you have that fear it makes sense. Personally, I don’t have that problem, you actually get less judgmental women and if a beard is such an issue we could always dislike things about them as well and overlook for the bigger picture. Live your life, there’s no time to be what everyone wants. Regardless of this video I get about a 60%/40% split being 60 like\40 don’t or are impartial when it comes to women. Not directing this at you but, in general terms, if you have nothing else going for you it’s probably still best to be whatever the ladies want. I just turn those away😁
@@thebluesrockers dont do it. You cant even eat a grain of sand without it getting all over your beard. You wanna get laid?! Good luck when every piece of food, sauce, crumb, ect needs to be wiped after every bite like a baby. Not sexually attractive. Especially if you are old and have a white beard - dont take your date to get BBQ.....
Grow muscles, not beards. Inner Viking from a beard?! Yeah, let's see you pillage a village with your beard. Only reason either of ZZ top ever got laid is because they are decent musicians and they wrote several recognizable hit songs.....did you? No. Did I pay $ to see you in concert in Chicago back in 1999, no, I paid to see ZZ Top. It works for them it wont work for you.
Muscles, fitness, health will get you farther in life than a beard. A beard wont back your words up - I love when a white collar dude with a lumberjack beard tries to talk down on my smaller beard or when I decide to go clean shaven. Ive humbled more than one bearded clam at a time when I out crazied them verbally. They knew instantly their place is in an office like a bitch, not in the wilderness and that their manly beards are no match for manly muscles and a short fuse. Find out real fast most of theese older guys calling the younger guys woke are just as big as pussy whipped snowflakes as the kids they make fun of.
@@nightmaster6381 hahaha lmfao...That cracked me up, but I must say, I always tell the ladies, I'm not going to squash it and there's no need to wash it...hahaha
@@thebluesrockers that's a good one, I may have to borrow that one!!
1:17 when your dad answers for you in a silent lip talk , you know it's his daughter ! Like she's a baby how he grew her from little and teaching her how to talk! It's cute !
I am happy I have full beard and don't care about women's opinion 😎
I wish i could grow a beard this consistent and thick! My beards are patchy in some places.
Keep growing it!
Carlos Acosta’s picture #3 hairstyle/cut. At the 9:25 mark…. What’s it called? How would you ask for it at the barbers?
Her daughter looks in her late 30’s! She looks way older than 23!!
Makeup does that, including the genes! When I was in high-school majority of the girls looked 22-25 when they're 15-18.
@@rebelscumusa1899 no they weren't, stop it 🤣🤣
This is Beard Porn! ♥️ Growing up I always compared men's beards and stashes to Sam Elliott Or Tom Selleck. I love facial hair on men as long as it's well kept. And I wouldn't have been able to choose from all those pictures I love them all and the different facets/moods they portrayed ♥️
As a man I can say Tom Sellicks face to stash ratio is what most of us are trying to achieve.
I can't grow a beard that's worth beans. However, I have grown what I'm sure is by far the most massive and impressive nose in the history of mankind! And so it just goes to show that we all have something about ourselves that we can brag about and feel proud of to sort of make others feel a tinge of jealousy!💪

Got a chuckle out of me lol

I did not know that there were people who could not grow beards in their twenties. I was at the gym and one man assumed I was older than him because he said he could not grow a beard. Mine got thicker in my late teens and early twenties but I started shaving at 15.
I've had my present beard for over 45 years. Except for my brother and three or four friends, no one I presently know has seen me without it.
I'm looking for Eric's comment
Yo! -Eric. 😎
