Totally agree. I am not traditionally handsome. I'm 5'6", shaved head because of male patterned baldness, but I have a warrior's build. Thick neck, traps, broad shoulders, pecs, etc. I've been told I have piercing eyes and a great head shape so straight men generally like my look more than females. Unfortunately. I'm straight. My best bud is tall, lean, flowing locks, looks like these guys in the video. We have made each other laugh in the past comparing how women respond to things we say. I can say something and women dont respond favorably. My bud can say something we decided was inappropriate and women eat it up. They love it. We just have to know our strengths. I make a woman laugh and have a good time and my buddy just has to show up. The bastard.
My beard is my life partner and we understand each other so much and we are truly happy. Yes we fight each morning when I comb it but it's so worth it. ❤
Bullshit, all you need is a Corvette and a big bank account like their dad.these yuppies are spoiled Rotten plenty of hot chicks without rich drama and hate.
I have a 4 month beard and it's gonna keep growing. I'm married 27 years and I usually only get compliments from men. I got about 5 compliments this Sunday at church. Got one from a woman today though. I started getting more compliments once I started blow drying it last week.
If you profile image is you, that's a great beard and keep it going. I got a compliment from a female the other day with my beard which is nothing super long, I keep it maintained once a week.
It's not quite right. What I got from the video is this: well maintained beard is always great, you can't go wrong with scruffy beard and if you have a more unkempt hairstyle then the beard should be spot on and vice versa.
I've seen this video before, and I have to say I do agree with these women's takes on most of the beards. Yeah sure, attractiveness plays a role but these model guys are still optimizing their look - I prefer the phrase "facial hair with purpose" rather than well-groomed, because I feel purpose is a broader idea that encompasses grooming as well as care and style selection. A beard needs to complement your look but also your lifestyle too - a beard without purpose is just hair growing on your face. I enjoyed watching you react to this Greg, thank you.
I've got a lot of shelf and chin coverage, which is good at hiding the weight in my face, cheeks that are only just getting some whisps, and lower coverage side burn to corner areas. I also got a currently disconnected mustache. I did some short side burns with a squared chin beard to hide patches, but now I'm in the process of growing the corners of my jaw to match with my chin. I'm hoping the length will cover the patches, and it's looking promising. I just gotta maintain my chin while it catches up.
Your overly happy face makes you look way younger than you are. Must've had a good life. Happiness has such a great effect on the skin and shape of the face.
I feel as though he looks like a young man who put makeup on to make himself look older in a way? You're right he does have this youthful glow to him somehow. I think he looks great! It's a very interesting look he has. His beard is the quintessential beard in my opinion.
In my gym, I see alot of other guys rocking the beard. I do think that alot of straight men tend to rock the big, long beard for other guys. Sort of a Viking "He Man" dominance look.
In terms of how other people perceive beards, you can't overlook the beard's effect on other men. Beards tend to make other men friendlier and more agreeable in my experience, and just make life subtly but significantly easier. As a man you're probably going to deal with more men than women. You only need to attract one woman at a time, and if a woman categorically hates beards it's a no-go anyway (probably a latent lesbian or some weird aversion to natural male appearance), so you'll only be deterring women who don't matter to you.
Was at a birthday party last summer. This couple came in. The first thing this guy said to me was that my beard was epic. I never saw this guy before. Beard is definitely something that other men notices.
One thing I learned as I've gotten older is just do what you like and grow whatever style you like. Be true to yourself and never grow it out just to impress a girl. Grow what you like and just be confident and you will definitely find a girl into it. I always use to make the mistake of doing things in hopes to impress that certain someone instead of doing what I really wanted.
My 7" long goatie beard looks a bit transparent (I think they call it French Fork) like in the video but I won't cut it down as I prefer to rock it with 3-6 beard beads depending which ones I choose. As some others have said, long beards seem to be more noticed by men than women in a general "cool beard" way. I keep my hair and beard groomed because it makes me feel good in myself 😃👍 (Edit) Subscribed 👍
My wife top 3 on me would be 3-big beard(4months of growth) 2-stubble 1-mustache I prefer the big beard, I do the moustache once in a while for her pleasure but it won’t last long before I go back to growing a big beard haha. Good video as always
It is good that she started the video with a positive note that there will always be a girl (or guy) out there that will love your style as much as you do. I would encourage men not to go with a specific beard style just to please the masses and go with what you like. If you're looking for a partner, be yourself (wearing the beard you like) and you will find the right person. Makes a lot more sense to me at least as it would be better than attracting the wrong kind of people wearing a beard that just appeals to the masses. At the end of the day though, whatever floats your boat.
As a handlebar mustache wearer, female comments are always interesting. “I like it on you but it wouldn’t fit my husband,” is a common response. I have come to realize you need to make that handlebar “fit” you. It’s not just facial hair, it’s more of a statement. It must be rocked with confidence. I mean, most females walk into a photo booth with props and choose a fat mustache for a reason.
Since I absolutely hate getting a mouth full of paint, every time I kiss a woman's lips or cheeks and don't like makeup at all, but yet they don't care what I like and continue to put that shit on their faces, guess what, I can care less about what they think of what I do with my face. Brothers everywhere, sport your beard and tell women it's not their body, so therefore it's not their choice. 😜
I'm actually in the middle of growing out my beard and hair, no haircut, no beard trim, all natural. And yes I do live by myself in the middle of the woods and work from home LOL. Glad I found your channel for starters. I'm 41 and always wore a clean face and during the pandemic I decided to grow out a medium length beard kind of like what you are wearing in the video. My wife was very hesitant for the first 6 months, I even shaved it off once during the beginning. As it exists now it is perfect, again like what you are currently wearing. I do maintain it, oiled, clean and brushed. I visit my barber every 2 weeks to keep it properly shaved.
The thing with going for a polarizing style is that, yes, you'll lose some women, but the ones who like it, they'll LOVE it. In my opinion this is a far better bet than going for something more universally enjoyed by women. You'll stand out and you'll know much more quickly if a woman finds you attractive or not.

It’s very true what you’re saying that you can get away with a lot more if you have a good looking face, weight gain is definitely one (not morbidly obese mind you) when people say “no way are you that weight, you carry it off so well” usually that means you’re going to be that one everyone hates in your group after your big weight loss journey 😂
Funny enough, my prefered style is natural beard natural hair. That joaquin picture, dude rocks it great! I also think the sunglasses have something to do with it. Messy hair and beard without sunglasses is totally different than the same with sunglasses on. Sunglasses on = automatically cool, gives off that I don't give a darn look with style

@@cornstar1253 I found with mine it took around 4 months to start getting to the look I wanted. At six months I had enough length and thickness to have plenty of grooming options. Enjoy the journey!
I currently have long salt and pepper hair, and a 4 week, tidy, short beard. I've also had a chest length well groomed beard, and pretty much everything in between. I don't do it for anyone else, but for how I feel about my own appearance (I get bored, and like to change things up). That said, I've gotten the most compliments, from both men and women, about my beard that's at least 3 months of well kept growth. This video made me curious, but all I learned is that these women are insufferable whatever they look like.
Yeah now that I think about it only men have ever complemented my beard and it's the only thing I've ever mentioned to a male stranger is to complement their beard's. We manly do grow beards for ourselves and other men! I never realized that before...
Hey Greg, what is more important to you? Your beard or the hair on your head? Would you rather be bald with the perfect beard. Or good hair but completely smooh face
@@jdemarco Non-high maintenance women would generally say "No thank you" when asked to be recorded giving their opinions on stuff like this. In my experience.
What women (or whoever, really) dislike about beards generally comes down to a few quite simple points: - does it make the person look authentic or pretentious? - does he care about himself too little (wild neckbeards) or too much (pretentious glossy austrian-hungarian moustaches)? - does it make him look older and conservative and if so, is that desirable in his case? - does it cover up his facial features and if so, is that a good thing? It is similar to glasses. They can add character to your rather average face, cover up your bald head or weight gain, make you look bolder, or they can ruin your otherwise interesting features, make you look fragile, weak or pretentious
I buzz my head and don’t trim my beard. I do oil it though, and I brush it every morning. Oh, I do trim my mustache. It’s too curly not to. Start getting whiskers sticking out in random directions after a while, and not even wax will control them.
I have a medium length beard now let it grow over winter so gets long but in summer I keep it short. I'm kinda lucky cause my girlfriend doesn't mind my beard no matter what length
Everything runs in cycles. In the 70's beards were in. In the 80's clean cut was in, in the 90's it was goatees. Then Beards came back in. Next stop will be clean cut again.
I wonder if some women just won’t admit….. that they like long beards….my girl used to not like my longed beard but now she says I don’t look myself without it. 🤔
I loved the translation of "he kind of/some guys pull it off" being code for brutally attractive guys can pull anything off^^ So true.

I grow mine in the winter for the cold. I found out that my Scandinavian genes really come out in my beard. Its like a wool coat for my face.
The black guys beard was really nice
This Courtney Ryan video was in my recommended list this morning. I was wondering why since I had never watched one of her videos before.
Yeah now that I think about it only men have ever complemented my beard and it's the only thing I've ever mentioned to a male stranger is to complement their beard's. We manly do grow beards for ourselves and other men! I never realized that before...
Plus my kids prefer the beard. They don't like it when I shave
i couldn't stop laughing when i saw that last dude at 5am, it's just too good.
Yes this is very interesting' thanks for the video Greg.
To all humen:
Just be yourselves
fantastic video, thank you
Greg, did you go white naturally or by a chemically altered decision? If you chose it, what did you use?
Search our videos---there are two videos of the process of bleaching my hair.
If the girls were shown a picture of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, they would probably like the Mutton Chops.
Hey Greg, what is more important to you? Your beard or the hair on your head? Would you rather be bald with the perfect beard. Or good hair but completely smooh face
It would be great to see a version of this video with some non high maintenance women.
That's gonna be a tall order...
@@jdemarco 🤣
@@jdemarco Lol!!🤣 I was gonna say that too!!😂

Non-high maintenance women would generally say "No thank you" when asked to be recorded giving their opinions on stuff like this. In my experience.
I personally like short boxed beards, moustaches and goatees (especially disconnected)
Do the opposite of what the ladies "want" and you'll be their star attraction.
Hey Greg, can you talk about Alopecia Barbae? I've been experiencing it and it grows back in but the hair is almost translucent white. It's scary.
I am keeping my long beard, i am willing to wait for that woman that likes long beards 👍🏆.
Love the content.
Salute and be blessed.
What women (or whoever, really) dislike about beards generally comes down to a few quite simple points:
- does it make the person look authentic or pretentious?
Good video on your side but please save me… where did these women come from, including the host, the local accountancy firm?
I have a medium length beard now let it grow over winter so gets long but in summer I keep it short. I'm kinda lucky cause my girlfriend doesn't mind my beard no matter what length
Greg do you have a full set of veineers? If so how much
If a man has a beard it's his choice
Lads um i need advice, am 22 and i can grow a decent long beard that makes me look in my 30s most people keep telling me to trim it down to stubble.
Go for the shaped stubble.
Am I the only one who thinks BeardBrand and Courtney Ryan should do a collab of some sort?
Is it normal for your beard to be really dark in some areas but blonde in others I'm Mexican so idk if it has anything to do with jt
What do you mean by normal? Everyone's hair color is different
Everything runs in cycles. In the 70's beards were in. In the 80's clean cut was in, in the 90's it was goatees. Then Beards came back in. Next stop will be clean cut again.
11:50 Ah yes, one of the classic styles, the "Discord mod".
Sandpaper scruff can look good, but the coarse texture can make for some awkward pain moments when "going downtown"
Don't ever do that. It's submissive and unhygienic
@@cornstar1253 not the case
I wonder if some women just won’t admit….. that they like long beards….my girl used to not like my longed beard but now she says I don’t look myself without it. 🤔
I really like beards and moustaches if they're well-maintained. Even those mutton chops looked brutal! Big respect to anyone who can pull that off.
Ur beard is looking real good lately
