Great unboxing brother. You have a ton of great pros and cons for the new sr7. I’m really liking it the more I run it. I see where Team Associated is going with this car. The truck version will be awesome, I’m sure they will also make a Onroad car like a Kyosho inferno gt2 car. The adjustability and quality of the SR7 is awesome. I would like a better esc, servo and radio for the price point. I appreciate the shout out also bother. 👊🏾💯💪🏾🔥
@UDRC85 Anytime bro, you have been killing it with the content. As always extremely informative. I've been sitting on this car for a week, lol! All this rain got me to really dive into it. You know how we love our on-roads. Keep pushing out the vids on this, TA got a winner, mine just needs to see some pavement, LOL!
@@ReadySetRC 😂 I can’t stop driving mine. It’s raining now but hopefully tomorrow I have a small window to run my. Also check your diffs brother. I really hope the make the truck and an Onroad get car setup to race.
@@Daywalker_Lee I appreciate you brother. Team Associated took too long to release this car. They have a few bugs to work out from some of the comments about a recall. I’ve not heard for myself but I’ve see several comments. I’m loving mine for sure.
Deff a nice car looks like they are useing castle tried & true 1/8th sidewinder system lol That’s a crazy nice setup imo Ton of power & if u wanted to get like a max6 & run 8s np it’ll b a ballistic rocket 🚀 fr great unbox didn’t hear a thickness on chassis guessing it’s prob on the thicker side maybe that’s why the composite braces looking forward to checking out your channel 👍
I am so glad Team Associated came out with s 1/7 scale street basher. We need more competition out there. I know David from Scorched RC will be coming out with a chassis and other goodies to stretch it out for speed runs which would be sick. I can't wait to get mine. I want a Flat dark gunmetal body like the Shelby Foose addition Stang. I hope it is as good as the Arrma once it is set up correctly. Arrma has had the thrown too long. I love Arrma but I like new RC cars to buy. I couldn't buy what I wanted when I was a kid so I am making it for it in myLate-20s buying every new major RC that comes out. lol
Im using mine for lot racing. Very competetive and handles well. Changed to powerhobby tires, NB4 radio, aluminum steering bits and Corvette body. Electrics are still doing well even with aggressive driving in the hot sun....prob cause I upgraded to QS8s 😁 too early to really get excited but happy...so far
@rcbeast101 Thanks man! I heard Amain state there was a recall. I'm still waiting on Associated to contact me. It's wise to wait until they figure this out.
Brett from Amain responded to me directly about the recall. It's on the recent UD RC video about the recall. His response is in the comments. Go check it out for the real deal on what happened...
@Daywalker_Lee I just read it. That is crazy. I reached out to TA over the weekend and just heard back. I got the same response you did, no recall and Amain is within their rights to do what they need to do. Kudos to Amain. I think it's that deans connector. Funny that Tower did not follow suit with Amain. Thanks for the info🤜🤛
@ReadySetRC Tower is a division of Horizon. It happened in 2018 when Horizon acquired Hobbico. If you notice they almost always have the same inventory & run sales together.
I absolutely love mine. I've been waiting on this thing for months! My only gripe is exactly what you said. At this price point, I expected a better transmitter and gyro. Other than that, this thing is awesome! Also, your link to UDRC isn't working.
@TheRCBuildersPost I appreciate you checking out the vid. Thanks for the heads up. Looks like it changed the @ in the link. I'm hoping if and when the release the Hoonitruck they do something with that transmitter.
@championcarcare8207 I actually mentioned that in the video. The diffs in the SR7 are the same as the Rival MT8. In my experience I've had no issues with the MT8 diffs which is why I feel gearing up and putting some load on it for parking lot bashing should not be a concern.
@@ReadySetRC I could tell the body post holes are in different places from the the infraction but I would love to get one of these bodies and put it on my infraction. I might just settle for the bitty design destroyer body
@@Killa_b_rc Man if I was choosing between this or the Bitty design body, I'd go with this. The clear comes predrilled which sucks but it has all the molded bits. Those molded parts would sell me on this. And it looks like the SR7 body is about $10 more. Not much for all that detail. Plus I know you are going to kill that paint job.
@RC-Closer1313 Nah, it's been raining so much here I haven't even gotten the chance to get it out. Looks like it will have to wait even when it stops raining and the my spots clear up.
Well… that truck is TA’s big fu@k up for the year… Deans plug on 6s? Fire hazard, big time, and it has zero controllability… that’s why there’s a recall on it!
@RC-Closer1313 Not sure I would go that extreme. First large scale on-road there is going to be some bumps. Let's see what this recall is really about.

Wow.. what an awesome, thorough explanation and comparison video. This answers a lot of questions! Thanks! I'd be happy with that car for the money.

@rocketpunchrc7143 Yeah, it's those connectors. Deans on 6s makes no sense.

I have a question about sr7.what do the SR7 have in common with the Associated Mt8
@championcarcare8207 I actually mentioned that in the video. The diffs in the SR7 are the same as the Rival MT8. In my experience I've had no issues with the MT8 diffs which is why I feel gearing up and putting some load on it for parking lot bashing should not be a concern.
@@ReadySetRC hear you mention it after I had already hit the send button
@@championcarcare8207 🤣😆 No worries. With the way YT is, it helps the channel.
The wires leading to the esc also say "castle creations" on them. Might be an old mamba monster.
@AsurasWrath164 Man, I'm too blind the read that, lol! That's my thoughts too. My Yeti XL is at least 6-7 years now.
@AsurasWrath164 Mine were blank. Just generic wires.
I was thinking it looks like the castle creations sidewinder 8th scale esc
@nickkoepplinger9204 there never was a sidewinder for 1:8. The old esc for 1:8 were mamba max pro or mamba monster
Looks like an Axial Vanguard AE-4 esc
