    Coach Frolov, you are the absolute best. No other instructor - at least on TH-cam - has anything on you. In America, we call boxing "the sweet science". You are the only person I know who understands not just the science of boxing but is also very well versed in human anatomy. Thank you for your contributions.

    Would love to see more content on using the pendulum to stay on the outside, that is what I'm trying to incorporate! Great vid as always!

      @desmondmccallum2916 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Frolov has done that video already: rigid ankles, pendulum to back one jump then to your side and you should be on the outside now. First back pedal though, very important

      @dominicgiglio-tos5982 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@desmondmccallum2916 yes I recall that vid. I'm asking for more videos on that subject. I am sure going back and to the outside is not the only way to stay on the outside taught to Soviet Era boxers. I'd love to see details on other ways to stay outside using the pendulum.

    • @dominicgiglio-tos5982
      @dominicgiglio-tos5982 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Though maybe that is the only method, I'm no expert on the pendulum. I just have trouble thinking there is only a single method for something that is traditionally so complex.

      @@dominicgiglio-tos5982 Well to tell you the truth, why don't you do some sparring and have the aggressor ( if you like ) to charge at you and stay out of his/her reach

      Make them Respect your Jab and Faint so they don't know what you boutta do and make sure you're always lighting fast and return that Jab like a Rubber Band Snap...

    • @WarEnjoyer-gm5yh
      @WarEnjoyer-gm5yh 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      keep hands up of course but you can also use jab variations e.g fast jab, up jab, power jab, double jab practice mixing it up to keep your opponent guessing. Or you can move your head after your jab if you know that your opponent will throw a counter cross. maybe throw a jab and then duck down then you can angle on the outside of his lead foot so this would be the foot positioning, feinting is one of the best options because then your opponent doesn't know whether to counter or not

    This is a good vid but it’s more of a block of a hook vs uppercut. Later in the video he throws an uppercut off the body hook. Nonetheless good info!

    • @caravaggio8003
      @caravaggio8003 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's an uppercut to the body from close range. The same principles could be applied to a hook to the body as the coach explains in the video. Hooks and uppercuts have very similar mechanics.
