I don’t know if Alexey will read this himself, but this video has helped me immensely. I always felt like my jab lacked power and nobody corrected my way of jabbing. The circular movement of the shoulder is like an epiphany for me, thank you for teaching us this technique and I will definitely incorporate it into my future trainings.

Well. This is boxing made scientific as it is supposed to be. Frolov is a brilliant trainer and teacher. Watching him demonstrates what boxing really is about. It is about angles, footwork, distances, balance and not about brawling. I was an amateur boxer myself and once had a chance to train with my brother in law who +30 years ago was Belarusian youth champion (at that time part of the Soviet Union) and stopped boxing when he was eighteen. When I trained with him I felt like a fire hydrant, stiff and clumsy, even though I boxed longer than he did and I was in better shape. It was amazing to see at what level these Soviet boxers were and are, respectively. They learn boxing from the basics.
Glad I found an English version of this coaches videos! I'm a boxer and trying to learn Soviet style as I believe it is beautiful boxing! This guy is by far the best coach I've ever found!
I loved these without the dub, i dont speak russian but it was always clear wat this man was teaching. But now with the dub its just such a blessing. The know how of body mechanics of this man is so incredibly vast its amazing. I learned more from these videos than in the gyms ive been in.
Train the basic and perfect it. This channel is GOLD and my project will be saving these videos for posterity. Coach, your a legend. I wish i could train in your gym. Greetings and respect from Venezuela
This guy reminds me of my first coach the attention to detail and constant fine tuning to correct form , the back and forth communication with me asking questions to fully understand the instruction. It can take time to sink in but once it does and you see the improvement it's so rewarding for both coach and boxer. This is an example of what a boxer coach relationship looks like anything else is sub par in my opinion.
This is the absolute best boxing content on TH-cam. I'm so glad I found it, and will be implementing everything here in the training of myself, my team mates and friends. Thank you so much to Mr. Frolov and his team.
This is a fantastic channel. The level of detail on punch mechanics is unsurpassed. Highly recommended to anybody who wants to learn. There is, after all, an art to it. Thank you.
I love your videos. You explain things in ways that I have not seen on any other channel. And your patience and attention to detail with your students is really inspiring. I would love to visit Russia one day and hopefully attend some boxing lessons with the Russian style
Thanks I'm just nomal korean 17. i started 5 months ago. finally i can get my dream, beautiful stance which the reason why i stated boxing. thank you!!
Would really love to see coach frolov do a video giving his thoughts and opinions on other systems of boxing that have marked features, such as that of mike tyson or floyd mayweather.
So Technical. Very few teach skills on such a technical level. I had some Bruce Lee students who taught me their stuff on a very technical level. Also one of Mike Tyson's Trainers, teaching me a little of the peek aboo style was extremely technical.
I've learned more from Alexey in my 11 years of boxing than I have from my own coaches... Of course I know many things about boxing but you can always improve, I'm working on perfecting my jab as I'm a rather unorthodox fighter and a lot of times I lead with my back hand rather than jab my way in...it works but I really want to use my jab more effectively... Thanks Alexey you are very good at explaining.
Coach can you make a video about what to do after missing a jab? You have a great video about side escaping but I'll like to see other maneuvers. Thanks!
Thanks for the video! Can he show defense moves next time? I have a problem I like to ask, when someone throws a punch I can see it and block it however I cannot do other moves like counter punch or slipping. I'm always late for them. I wonder if there's a way to practice all of them. Thank you
If you're struggling to counter then you are probably slipping/rolling too far and giving yourself too much of a distance to cover with your counter punch! I used to do this when defending myself with a shoulder roll, I would rotate too far and my counter punch had to travel further. Countering and slipping is about small movements!
I am impressed but not surprised. I always thought Russia/eastern describe/taught things so much better as compared to the West. They actually how and why. Well done.
When i was tought the lesson on throwing while stalking, i was instructed to not throw a punch uless my feet are well planted.(just like here) However the only exception was jab, as you can sych your jeft hand with lead leg and punch while steping. This is comonly used by almost every boxer, why does Alexey instruct his lad not to do this? Is it just because this specific training routine? Can somenone please elaborate on that?
It's the falling step concept, other coaches may have a different way of calling it, it's used to give more quickness and power into the jab. You kinda lift your leg and plant it but here he's following his target so he has to move forward and accompany with the lifting of the front leg.
Oh God. When he was asking him to not use his legs, and just throw out the jab with his hand my soul was screaming. I hate it when people throw jabs like that. Those kinds of jabs I can eat all day. Zero power behind them.
I don’t know if Alexey will read this himself, but this video has helped me immensely. I always felt like my jab lacked power and nobody corrected my way of jabbing. Wow that detail of the shoulder rotation not the wrist is what I’ve been missing thank you. You are truly a great teacher!
The detail of the mechanics and purpose of the parts ❤is amazing

Thanks a lot man, this is way better than reading the subtitles. Now We can focus on the movements instead of reading the text

The instructor seems all loose, is this typical of Russian boxers? He even mentions being relaxed.
This training session looks sooooo tough.
Master 🙏👊😊
Sometimes trainers get in the way when there isn't a problem. The best punch thrown is usually the one that lands.
Brilliant 👏

Buen video 👌
When he does it on 1:27 it looks like he's has zero plan 😂😂
I'd be Coach Alexey's worst student, lol
He moves like Bivol. Can someone explain the floppy style, it looks like the whole body is relaxed so that the body is not stiff.
man i improved alot in my jab, like its feel diferrent the weight on the punch i was always so stiff and unaware about this in sparrings
perfect

You are so wrong, using your rear leg gives you more explosive power and penetration.
Cuban style boxing also corkscrews their punches.
