It’s now 2020. I did not originally post these videos, nor did I ever manage the account.
I’ve never personally viewed my reception on here, only been told by word of mouth. I’ve finally been convinced by those close to me in the boxing game to give this a shot.
New, as well as unseen, content will be posted in the coming weeks. Thanks for all your support.

We were taught something very similar. Grandmaster Carl Beaman told us that our hands are like rubber bands. Snapped out and right back in position. 100 jabs, crosses, straights (a lot of ppl only teach the cross and not the straight right or left hand lead) hooks, and uppercuts with 5lbs. weight and resistance tubes. Needless to say when we were hitting jokers we was putting them to sleep! 🤣 R.I.P Coach thank you for all the knowledge and wisdom.

As a tall fighter, I remember having a problem overstretching with punches without adjusting my feet when I saw an opening. But the coach here is right, everything should be thrown from you being in boxing stance and it's your feet that should close the distance between you and the opponent - you shouldn't be reaching with your punches to close the distance. Don't come off balance. I've been boxing 5 years now but the fundamentals are always worth revisiting.

"MARVIN COOK", is a real genius, very talented and gifted ,and is by far the best that I have ever come across, in terms of how he is able to properly and thoroughly explain, even the smallest of detail, in such a way, that for the very first time I am really able to fully get, understand and absorb it, and then go out and, "properly" do it, execute and perform the technique, and do it better then I had ever done before, prior to watching one of his videos. (in this case "THE JAB" and using technique ,our hips, teaching us how to make it more effective, powerful etc.) Any and all techniques learned and put into practice, is going to allow us to be more efficient, therefore we will have extra energy, cardio and/or stamina when or if we were to need it. His approach, style, and overall ability; to take; all his knowledge, wisdom and skill that he has obtained and then make me understand it , IS SECOND TO NONE. I feel very lucky and fortunate, and am grateful and appreciative, to be able to come to this channel, whenever I so choose, and learn from a man who is so highly skilled and passionate about his craft, and who has given us the chance and ability, to be able to come to his channel and learn. I'm 8 years or more late to your channel but this is all good info honestly. I've dabbled in boxing here and there and I appreciate you giving out good info and tips like this for free most people nowadays charge ridiculous prices for information like this.

What did Bruce Lee say "don't fear the man who knows 1000 moves, fear the man who practices the same move 1000 times".

Why would you listen to an actor??? Dont get me wrong, he could fight; for his era, BUT Bruce was ultimately an actor NOT a world renown fighter/champion. He would get owned today in the octagon if he brought that " wing chung" shit.

I remember when I started boxing and when I was taught the jab, I started off with the habit of leaving my arm extended. My trainer told me that in the boxing world, that’s what’s called “taking pictures.” Of course, the correction was to bring that arm back quickly or otherwise, you’d open yourself up to be countered. What made me get it was him describing the jab as a flicking movement.

The true boxing stance is a great way of describing the concept that you should have a perfectly balanced stance as base from which everything springs from and everything comes back to. On a related note, many people throw the jab (and other punches) and then stop after contact but this is just leaving yourself there to be punched, the jab doesn’t finish till you are back where you started from, the true boxing stance. Alternatively it may go into a combo of punches and defensive manoveurs but it will always come back to the TBS after. In a 1-2 the pulling back of the jab hand after contact can be used to aid the torso rotation of the right hand, gifting even more power. The same can be used when pulling the right hand back to power a left hook. I think it’s most pronounced in the 1-2 as they are both straight punches, kind of like a propeller, or like pulling on a lawn mower engine to make it start.

Now I understand why the boxer in my jujitsu class was so good at not being hit even with his short stature and short reach. His footing was more intelligent than mine was when we were on our feet. Very cool lesson. I liked how he explained keeping your head back. I make that mistake.
