BMW E36 M3 S54 BUILD EPISODE 2 - S54 REMOVAL & REFRESH ROD BEARINGS - WDS ORIGINALS - UK

- This is episode two of our E36 M3 S54 Build. In this episode we remove the S54 from our E46 M3 and give the engine a light refresh so its ready for our E36 M3. Rod Bearing's are a common issue on these engines and we got there just in the nick of time with these ones!! This will be a great engine swap, wish I had the funds to do this swap for my E36, I went down the 330i engine swap, still a great swap mind 👍🏼

Looking good m8 who's doing the patch loom. Are you having obd2 and old ports

I have a few options, thought of wiring it up myself, also had an offer from a chap called Steve Bundy to come and wire it up, or I look at an adapter to retain the oem/obd2 ports etc. Currently talking to Ant Steering & Electronics, and discussing with them. But still open to options, got a bit of chassis work to do first yet anyways 👍

Thanks dude, bearings were recalled by bmw, and done under warranty in its early life, covered approx 80k since BMW’s recall! Honestly if you have a higher mileage S54 just spend the money & get them done rather than having more problems!
