  • Not sponsored by anyone. Just an honest, installation. I bought a nibbi carburetor kit on Amazon to replace my oversized Chinese carb. Carburetor size is a 24mm carb on a 140cc engine. Bike was cold as shit, hasn't been started today.
I am very impressed with the nibbi carb being that it may not be a mikuni or keihin, it seems to not lack any performance so far.
Stay tuned for a review after riding and abusing with the new carb.

    So should I run a 26 or 24?

I installed my nibbi 24mm yesterday after work. Primed it, started the engine and within 15 mins after adjusting air fuel mixture and idle speed. The float decided not to stop fuel 😅
So all the orifices in the nibbi started crying for me.
I was so bummed, didn't even get to take it for a spin.

I need a jetting chart for a 26 mm carb on the 140

Probably a dumb question but what’s that hose sticking out

Never a dumb question haha, one on the bottom is to guide the excess fuel to the ground and the one on the side if im correct is something with the vaccum or air. Sorry I don't have a clear answer, but none should be plugged up or blocked as it will cause issues with running.

Can you post a link for the carb you bought? I have a 160 SSR and would like to get one.

I have a brand new 140 yx engine and its bogging and just not working properly, should i order the nibbi 24mm PE for it? Has it worked well for you?

Hey very sorry for getting back so late, I would actually recommend a 26 or even 28. The 24 I ended up using bigger jets. Which could havr been compensated by getting a bigger carb

    • @builtbyk
      @builtbyk  ปีที่แล้ว +1

But the pe 26 is the one used on the bike before it sold, that ran very sharp

@@builtbyk ok thanks for the reply, ended up getting a nibbi pe24fl. I should get a few sizes bigger main jet, Atleast its not bogging now and the fuel economy is pretty good.

@@veke05 there is a jet set on Amazon that was around maybe 10 bucks? But my other friends who race pit bikes have said the 24 is still a good carb for that size.

@@builtbykI just bought this same exact bike and bought a 24mm nibbi carb for mine as well. What size jets did you end up using for this? I’m gonna have to order bigger ones on Amazon. I literally can’t find a video anywhere saying what jets are used for SSR 140.

Question, I have a 140TR and the stock carb says mikuni??

    What size jets u use

I used the stock jets that came with the bike, however after running it for a bit you may need to move the jet clip 1 spot to allow more fuel since the stock settings is more on the lean side.
