I love mine, in Black. I just had to lower the action a little bit, but the set up was already amazing, right out of the box (yes, mine was sold brand new with no case, no soft bag !!!! No WAY !!!!). Luckily Duesenberg makes GEAT soft case now. The versatility is beyond my expectations : I already own a Falken, but it lacks the snappy sound and feeling of a bolt on neck when you play in single coil mode. The Starplayer is great in every position : you can switch from a snappy bridge single coil sound in Albert Collins style to full neck humbucker / woman tone in BB King style. Great guitar, I still don't understand why Duesenberg discontinued this model !
It's really a very, very good LP guitar model, which I use for hard rock or 70s/80s metal. I have 3 copies with different finishes, the sound is extremely good on ENGL brand amplifiers. Why is this model no longer manufactured today? This remains a huge mystery to me. In any case, Duesenberg is a very great guitar brand, with an original sound and a superb finish.
I watched all the duesy starsplayer special video’s on the tube. Tnx for the vid ! Still cant decide on this one or the epiphone les Paul modern… Whats your opionon ?
That was a really good video. Well done chaps! I've had the exact same guitar for several years.
Love this thing. I play jazz on it.
