I spent one week on carnivore food, only meat cheese- cottage ,cream of my own eggs from my Balbinas chicken and coffee with milk . That’s one of the good things about Carnivore, the choices are small, but it makes it easy to know what you’re going to eat. and, no more chopping vegs and fruit! I do miss a lot of my favorite foods, though.
I dump since early 2019 on carnivore and had a severe dump 3 years in after I had physical therapy on my lower back. It stirred up a deposit in my lower back and lasted months to calm down.
Leaky gut, colitis, gastritis, fibroids, blood in the stool, total hysterectomy, body aches & pains and hives. I am experiencing all the symptoms Sally did and it’s actually scary and terribly unpleasant! I went on an elimination diet 3 weeks, still on it with carnivore and this dumping is awful.
@@sofiamiliaressis5403I started Carnivore w months ago. I got very painful diarrhea within 4 days. I had a terrible reaction to eating a few different foods on Easter, that I hadn’t had in weeks. I was laid up for a week. In the last few days, suddenly my arthritis got 10 times worse. My left knee, which was better than my right, now it hurts more than the right, and I can’t get up the stairs. I’m now adding a few oxalates back in to slow down this dumping. I think I’d die if I don’t!
For me, it is, Just. Eat. Meat. I'm 75 and have been eating the Carnivore way for 18-months now. SO many health issues have improved. No more diabetes, arthritis, high blood pressure, brain fog, gum disease, and on and on. I did have eight-months of wicked hives all over my body from the oxalate dumping. Now all is good. Now I am convinced that I will never go back to eating those nasty vegetables ever again!
That’s amazing that it took away your arthritis! How bad was your’s? I have arthritis in my hands, back, and knees. I can hardly walk for the pain. I pray mine will go away, too, along with several autoimmune diseases I’ve accumulated. I just got done with 2 years of a strange rash that the dermatologist’s couldn’t heal., I hope that doesn’t come back!

Went carnivore 5 months ago. Never felt better in my life. More energy, better mood, lost 30lbs, down 2 pant sizes and libido is through the roof. I was also able to get off my depression and blood pressure medication.
New Subscriber, am new to carnivore as of Apr 1st 2023 and so far, my blood pressure and blood work is now normal, have lost 69 pounds now to date which is Aug 19th, 2023. I had a gastric by-pass about 15 years ago which has caused many problems including amongst other problems ED for the last 10 years. LOVE carnivore and will till my last breath. Thanks for the vids!
I am reading Sally Norton’s toxic superfoods. I recently transitioned from a low carb Mediterranean diet to a carnivore way of eating. I took two weeks to transition. I’m 76 and healthy with no known medical issues. In the last 5 weeks, I have had a few veggies - broccoli, avocado, sea weed, white rice, edamame. I do have random arthritic pains (my doc called it galloping arthritis which does have a technical name). Your book is scaring me. I don’t know if my old diet was high oxalate or not but now I’m worried that the clearing process could affect me many years from now.
Visit her website and you can check the list of foods that are high and low in oxalates. She recommends that people that are shifting from a high to a very low oxalate diet (which carnivore is) to keep a small amount of oxalates in their diet to slow down the body from dumping oxalates too fast. A cup of tea or of hot chocolate in the evenings (when most dumping occurs) is generally enough.
@@nataliajimenez1870 Interesting. I haven’t watch the video yet, but I’ve read her book, watched other videos with her and other people. I wasn’t sure what was happening a few years ago. I did a 3 day water and I believe it was on day three water fast and I had to pee and it was excruciating painful my kidneys hurt the urine was almost brown in colour. It scared me so I broke the fast. just recently I did a five day fast with a tiny bit of juice type broth, once a day. I ended up a non Keto type rash but a rash. Now I’ve cut back more oxalate foods - strange hip pain- then bad intestinal cramps- when in bed. I got up ate about 2 oz- (maybe 70-80 g ) of cheddar cheese and one square if very dark chocolate. The cramps stopped almost immediately! During these last number of days, I felt a little bit itchy. My skin seem drier. I haven’t had dry skin like that - but I really cut back on those oxalate foods determined to get better. all I’m tired of the tartar on my teeth. Is it going to get worse? Will my teeth build up even more tartar?? Does anyone know as I get rid of the oxalate out of my body I’m doing these supplements along with it that are supposed to help absorb extra oxalate. Thus decrease dumping symptoms.
Thanks for all of this great info, Sally. I have discovered I have the oxalate dumping problem, thanks to Carnivore. I dove in too quickly and have been paying for it. I wish the Carnivore gurus would stress that oxalates could be a problem for people. The videos I listened to just mentioned it in passing. Now I have the info I need to heal. Also, when I had a sleeping study, I was told that I woke up over 300 times in the 5 1/2 hours I slept. It took me over 220 minutes to get into deep sleep. This has definitely affected my life!
I wanted to hear more on cataracts, too! Perhaps what she mentioned near the end: in addition to a low oxalate diet, of course, to drink the juice of 1½ lemons twice a day (½ cup of juice total) might help safely clear up cataracts?
Awesome interview.. thank you so much. Great questions. Love Sally. She has a wealth of knowledge to share. I continue to learn how to heal myself with her guidance. 🤗💕
My thyroid (T-4) is non existent. I was getting sick and used high dose of ascorbic Vit C. Combo of meat and veggies diet with sweet potato and fries occasionally. Developed eye floaters. Little REM sleep. Weight gain etc. switched to carnivore diet and have had eye sty’s and massive UTI/kidney infection this past week. Never had those. Slowly Sleeping better and now will cut out Vit C. Next is to tackle thyroid with iodine and b Vits. Such great info. TYSM.
Apparently the key is the diet! doctors do not understand because they have not been taught. Understand our food and what happens when we eat it is so important for staying healthy. Our biology becomes our biography!
Yeah, who would of thought the food we eat will effect how we feel. I don't know how I didn't come to that conclusion in my past. It is a simple concept. I went carnivore 5 months ago. I have never felt better as an adult.
Spinach was always a favorite food of mine, even as a kid my mother made me big pots of beet greens combined with beet roots. It made me feel special because no ine else liked them. I also overdid potatoes, I would not eat dairy. My parents finally quit worrying because they decided I got my calcium the way the cow got it". I loved chocolate, nuts, whole wheat bread. I did not drink tea so much as I guzzled it, pot after pot all winter & pitcher after pitcher iced in the summer. I had a huge kidney stone in 1991, lithotripsy & 2 cystoscopy procedures. All my urologist told me was to avoid tea, chocolate & nuts. I asked for a more complete list, but that is all he knew. I discovered B6 & Mg would prevent the stones so I took them & went back to tea chocolate & nuts. Fast forward to 2012. I went keto. No longer had high insulin, so I quit B6 & Mg. Keto helped many things. But not everything. 2022, started carbs again. But some problems came back. Plus fibrous stuff caused GI problems. I finally landed on Sally's videos. Im only a few weeks into it, but I had 1 major detox. My upper chest, back & arms shed skin like crazy. It itched & I had to scrub that skin off with a brush. It was a place where my body (unnaturally imo) stored fat. I can only pray that this is the plan that gets me mostly healed. (I had thru the skin detoxing after all the kidney stone procedures too, only it was itchy white scabs). Keto reversed T2 diabetes & really helped my eyesight. I had no GI problems etc. but I had poor thyroid function & fibroids eventually requiring hysterectomy. So keto only got me so far. Lord help us & thank you for the info Ms. Norton.
Sally, has anyone tested dandilion Root? I have so many questions about foods, but especially herbals. What about Berberine? Rhodiola and Astragulus, Ashwaraghanda, and algea like chlorrella? I have gone off a few things, but not sure what I should do with these. I Can testify that I have already begun to feel better, especially the fatigue!
How can 54:04 i find out more about oxalate dumping as it correlates with my monthly cycle? Im excited to. Get ahold of the new book! Thank you, great interview
Heirloom seeds can be saved and you get the same plant features when grown again, extremely reliable results every time. Flavor & nutrition superiority but not always the disease/pest resistance & shelf life as non-Heirloom, which is why they are less used in commercial agriculture. Can't tolerate the chemicals as much either, more variety in crop product size as well. Commercial growers prefer standard dependable tomato shape & sizes & timing of development/ripening & compatibility with machine harvesting is another reason Heirloom plants don't usually work for commercial farming, long-distance shipping, & grocery store sales.
Thank goodness, Sally said, it's not to develop fear but for knowledge. I am sad that I must get rid of the sweet potatoes but nothing lasts forever.....
Hi Sally ! I’ve made a skin lubricant…..really easy….just beef tallow and an organic aromatic oils blend. Melt 1 tablespoons tallow in small metal dish, add a few drops of aromatic oil- I use a blend, cinnamon, etc. , mix and apply. You might use yer old channel #5, but haven’t tried that! I’m using the hand lotion on my hair for when I’m in the pool! I like lots of Marseille’s remedy oil in the tallow, cause it really tingeles but smarts the eyes….🙏
7:45 to start learning about oxylates but I actually believe fluoride over the years is connected to all problems of unwanted hard substances (metals, aluminium, cateracts).
Excellent point. We cannot blame 90% of toxicity on oxalates, while other poisons are still present in our environment, including heavy metals from industrial pollution. I stopped drinking fluoridated tap water years ago, stopped using fluoridated toothpaste.
Number one, we, at one time, would only eat high oxalate foods seasonally, giving our bodies time to clear. Secondly, with all these new reasons for metal toxicity, glyphosate poisoning, and other imbalances in our systems, leaky gut and microbiome disruptions have caused us to be less able to process the oxalates. Modern times are making us all a mess.
a friend told me about this, i have been getting what might be gout attacks maybe 2 or 3 a year, usually knees but sometimes ankle or big toe. sometimes its insanely bad, as if someome had stabbed a hot knife into the joint, can't walk etc, then a week later i can be like brand new, go jogging, everything. i am otherwise really healthy, no meds, didn't get any strange jabs lately etc. Will give the oxilates thing a try.
I am so confused. What about Forks Over Knives and plant based diets who have also healed people? The China Study? An intensive study on eating meat & cancer.
Meat DOES NOT cause cancer! See Dr Berry’s videos where he studies the studies like this one and as he uncovers the FLAWS and outright FRAUD in methodology and conclusions you begin to see how researchers FUNDED by food manufacturers are flooding research with erroneous information. Dr Berry can be trusted. He blows the lid off the Loma Linda myths including the Blue Zone study which cherry picked data.
Great interview. My body wisdom has revealed similar. Vit C hypothesis is interesting. All supplements are acidic and even toxic to some degree. Herbal medicine is key!
I am doing great on carnivore as alot to heal, lyme, autoimmune hepititus, diabetes, I have now lost all the weight and am enjoying the way of eatting. The only thing I can not let go of is a handfull of sunflower seeds and a few low oxalate type nuts every other day or so!
Points to consider also should also include metabolic disorders, deydration of the body, dense blood, the body being in non-alkali state, bowel disorder invites all kinds of metabolic disorders, leading to high uric acid, non-alkali body contributes to formation of oxalates. PH of the body should not be less than 6.5 (urine test).
Yeah, no. Oxalates affect most all very similarily, but good try. Dr Berg is great but there is no one that knows 100 perecent of everything. Oxalates are a serious matter.
I mean think about it. If you've got decades of oxalates bult up in your bones and other tissues, the blood test wouldn't show all that, just what you had recently consumed, or the little bits released while dumping. Too superficial of a test to show the big picture
For those of us who were mostly eating bad stuff, like mostly take out, fast food, processed foods, will we not have that bad of oxalate dumping? I mean I guess the seed oils from fried foods, etc have implanted oxalates in me, but it almost sounds like the spinach and greens folks are who are hit pretty hard by the dumping.
I wondered the very same thing myself! The french fries are a pretty big oxalate hit though. Life sure is interesting...never dull learning this very cool stuff from wonderful people like Sally and her host:))
I am 79 vegetarian and walk miles of necessity eat raw beetroot green veg and do not smoke strange that i dont have arthritis or any age related ailments😂
Everything said here makes sense *except* the fact that the longest lived people eat the most oxalates from plant-heavy diets. Blue zone centenarians in Okinawa didn't go without sweet potatoes and Loma Linda centenarians aren't going without spinach and almonds. This seems like great advise for a recovery diet but not the ideal maintenance diet.
I had been eating so many oxalates! They were basically my fave foods. I went almost overnight to a Carnivore way of Eating. Yup - must have been a lot of oxalate dumping! I tried to talk to a doctor about oxalates and got a perplexed stare. I cannot eat cucumbers! Or most vegetables and fruits. They show up in the toilet.

Sally did not need to be interrupted so much; the best interviewers do not keep inserting themelves and allow the person to follow through their train of thought, there were many moments when he derailed an important topic
Hi Adam, l’ve only been on a elimination carnivore diet 3 wks and l am experiencing dumping awfulness. You are still getting the symptoms for so long and l worry about having these dreadful symptoms l am experiencing.
Ice packs stop my ox rash within 5 min. So I have several sizes in freezer. Even a hot water bottle wit cold water helps. My daughter picked me up some homeopathic for rash...experimenting with that.
This jerk asked her about the calcium Sally recommends then before she could answer he asked her 3 more question getting her off the topic. I'd love to know what calcium she takes. This man adds nothing to this interview.
Just to add to your confusion I had dinner with a couple last night (in their 50's I would guess) who were some of the most energetic full of life people I've ever run into. I'm talking about people who went up on a mountain and built a large house with their bare hands. They professed to be vegetarians (except dairy) and were scarfing down sweet potatoes, beets, and pasta with tomato sauce like they hadn't eaten in a month. Number two get real. "Health" in America is on a decending slope but do you really think that Americans are eating too much spinach? What percentage of the population eats chard and beet greens ever? I've looked through the book and respectfully feel that it is dubious.
are there global studies ? The U.S. is more of a melting pot like no other country,so curious as how much race ,genetics can play apart in dietary issues .
Hold on: Just giving the oxalate value is deceptive. What is the bioavailabilty of the oxalate content? For example, the bioavailability of oxlates in tea is low--and yet you broadcast it as a dangerous source of oxlates in your title. You are discouraging the consumption of nutritious food. Cite research for your dramatic click-bait claims, please.
We should just eat air and water. But wait, what about pollution? This is so idiotic. Ok, I can understand pigging out on green smoothies, or chocolate, but going from vegetarian and vegan to carny? Pathetic. Maybe the message should be moderation instead of clickbait. Do you have any idea how much damage you are causing by promoting anxiety? Shame on you.
What about Candida? Yeast? Vaginal yeast? Body aches all over my whole body? I want to sleep around the clock it seems. i used to be in excellent shape! I need to get well. I spent one week on carnivore food, only meat cheese- cottage ,cream of my own eggs from my Balbinas chicken and coffee with milk . I wipe off all food from my mind and I am happy to reduce my thinking about what I am going to have on my dinner plate. I can now spend more time playing piano or doing other creativity. I am Ok with my cats -they eating my meal or I am eating their meal It is fine . I am quite relieved from the kitchen . Thank You Sally and Thank You Dr Chaffee , Greetings from Poland . Sometimes I will have desert sour cucumbers or sour cabbage . Life is simple without ponzi stuff.
That’s one of the good things about Carnivore, the choices are small, but it makes it easy to know what you’re going to eat. and, no more chopping vegs and fruit! I do miss a lot of my favorite foods, though.
Sally K. Norton is a goddess. Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for this brilliant chat. I learnt so much. Been dealing with chronic gout for 26 years, at last a ray of hope!!!!
This was very informative. Please have Sally back soon.
Hit it out of the park ! Excellent job having this in-depth discussion with Sally Norton, so many new nuggets. Here s one to share.
I went Carnivore 100 days ago and I got rid of all the oxalates in my diet. I feel great today.
I'm always learning something new from interviews with Sally. My body has been clearing oxalates for almost three years now.
Agree. Never miss a Sally interview!
I dump since early 2019 on carnivore and had a severe dump 3 years in after I had physical therapy on my lower back.
It stirred up a deposit in my lower back and lasted months to calm down.
Wow I’m only a year in
Anita l just started carnivore and l am dumping. It is an unbearable process and scary at the same time
I’m 66. I may not live long enough to clear all of the oxalates I got eating “healthy!” Do you have feel good between dumping episodes?
I have leaky gut I’ve struggled with for years. This is pretty eye-opening to back off of the oxalates.
@@suew4609 My arthritis was very bad. I couldn't squat or kneel down. It hurt to walk, it hurt to grasp something in my hands. Couldn't put my arms over my head. I'm not a doctor and can't advise... I had a rash and hives, turned out to be oxalate toxicity. There is a ton of info on the carnivore way of eating on TH-cam. Watch "Anthony Chaffee MD Plants Are Trying To Kill You." Ken D Berry MD has a lot of videos worth watching. Good luck.
Went carnivore 5 months ago. Never felt better in my life. More energy, better mood, lost 30lbs, down 2 pant sizes and libido is through the roof. I was also able to get off my depression and blood pressure medication.
@@danieldenton5721 Incredible! Congratulations!
How did you not oxalate dump?
@@brockbrawn1524l would like to hear the answer to your question too.
I've watched a lot of Sally's interviews. This is one of the best, great info shared.
@@nataliajimenez1870
Interesting.
I get headaches in the middle of the night. Could this be oxalate dumping after.even three years of being carnivore?
@@TaraDodson-x4x maybe it’s dehydration?

Wow! Sally, you sound like me. Thank you so very much for spreading this lifesaving information.
The interviewer interrupted Sally far too often. She had the patience of an angel with him.😊
yeah, I wanted to know how to reduce cataracts.
I wanted to hear more on cataracts, too! Perhaps what she mentioned near the end: in addition to a low oxalate diet, of course, to drink the juice of 1½ lemons twice a day (½ cup of juice total) might help safely clear up cataracts?
Male ego !!!They desperately need to demonstrate their “cleverness “ !
@@KathyPianoHarp too much vitamin C, overdosing, can cause cataracts.
Awesome interview.. thank you so much. Great questions. Love Sally. She has a wealth of knowledge to share. I continue to learn how to heal myself with her guidance. 🤗💕
Excellent interview. I learn more on every video. 🙏🙏
Excellent talk about nutrition! Ordering Sally Norton's book now.
This is a huge wake-up call! Thank you!!
Hmm . I take rhodiola, chlorella as supplements. Good question.
I have a bladder problem overactive bladde. I'm using the bathroom every 15 to 30 minutes a day
You may have Interstitial Cystitis . I do
How can 54:04 i find out more about oxalate dumping as it correlates with my monthly cycle?
Great video, great guest. Thank you. Just bought the book.
Thank goodness, Sally said, it's not to develop fear but for knowledge. I am sad that I must get rid of the sweet potatoes but nothing lasts forever.....
Mind blowing information!!
Is there anything out there that says oxalates effect your White Blood Count? Mine are very low along with my platelets. Many thanks!
Excellent question…..
Yes Sally talks about it on another interview ..she had v low before
Great information ! 😇
Exactly fluoride is highly toxic my family only use a organic natural toothpaste
Fantastic! This is my second time around! Atleast
Could this be a cause for auto immune issues?
Absolutely!
Yes.
Oh yes!
a friend told me about this, i have been getting what might be gout attacks maybe 2 or 3 a year, usually knees but sometimes ankle or big toe. sometimes its insanely bad, as if someome had stabbed a hot knife into the joint, can't walk etc, then a week later i can be like brand new, go jogging, everything. i am otherwise really healthy, no meds, didn't get any strange jabs lately etc. Will give the oxilates thing a try.
HMM - Maybe this is what I have instead of IBD - I seem to have so many symptoms of what Sally is speaking of - I am really confused now
We’re you eating a high oxalate diet? Even white potatoes are high.
Oxalate can cause many problems and gut problems are common.
I am so confused. What about Forks Over Knives and plant based diets who have also healed people? The China Study? An intensive study on eating meat & cancer.
Dr Chaffee answers those very questions.
What about yellow mustard with goat cheese ?
😅low.oxalate ... Both ok
Does her book have a comprehensive list of oxolate levels or low oxolate options?
Yiu can always Google that info and there are charts on that.
@777greenice I know but they are not all accurate xx Lots of misinformation. I am on the TLO group. Great info but want something in print x
She SAID 👉Her website has lots of free info and lists‼️
Points to consider also should also include metabolic disorders, deydration of the body, dense blood, the body being in non-alkali state, bowel disorder invites all kinds of metabolic disorders, leading to high uric acid, non-alkali body contributes to formation of oxalates. PH of the body should not be less than 6.5 (urine test).
Tbh everyone is different & this may apply so some & not others! Dr Berg has always been my go to Doctor!
How does oxalate toxicity no apply to some people?
"Everyone is different" only stretches so far when we are homo sapiens sapiens.
Yeah, no. Oxalates affect most all very similarily, but good try.
Dr Berg is great but there is no one that knows 100 perecent of everything. Oxalates are a serious matter.
Mangoes are good to eat a lot of ?
How useful is the oxalate blood test? Can you use it to see if Oxalates might be a problem with your diet?
1:01:40 😅Sally says test not reliable on another video
I mean think about it. If you've got decades of oxalates bult up in your bones and other tissues, the blood test wouldn't show all that, just what you had recently consumed, or the little bits released while dumping. Too superficial of a test to show the big picture
Merci !
Did I miss it or did Sally mention best sources of calcium to take?
😅 1:01:40 😅calcium citrate but ..slowly ....magnesium citrate also
For those of us who were mostly eating bad stuff, like mostly take out, fast food, processed foods, will we not have that bad of oxalate dumping? I mean I guess the seed oils from fried foods, etc have implanted oxalates in me, but it almost sounds like the spinach and greens folks are who are hit pretty hard by the dumping.
I wondered the very same thing myself! The french fries are a pretty big oxalate hit though. Life sure is interesting...never dull learning this very cool stuff from wonderful people like Sally and her host:))
All potatoes are high in oxolates - not to mention all the seed oils they are usually cooked in.
How about people who are vegetarian and have oxalates??
I am 79 vegetarian and walk miles of necessity eat raw beetroot green veg and do not smoke strange that i dont have arthritis or any age related ailments😂
Everything said here makes sense *except* the fact that the longest lived people eat the most oxalates from plant-heavy diets. Blue zone centenarians in Okinawa didn't go without sweet potatoes and Loma Linda centenarians aren't going without spinach and almonds. This seems like great advise for a recovery diet but not the ideal maintenance diet.
Audio not great, have to have it up nearly to the max ! Then adverts come on SO loud😮
They show up in the toilet.
i'm abit confused about earl grey tea..i have drunk it for the last 20 years and it says on the list its zero oxalate..is this true, i have it with 2 teaspoons of cream
Sally did not need to be interrupted so much; the best interviewers do not keep inserting themelves and allow the person to follow through their train of thought, there were many moments when he derailed an important topic
does white rice have Oxalates, ?
You can simply ask Google, “Is ______ high in oxalates?”
Sometimes they lie so read a few of the results.
Sally’s website has a good list, I believe.
White rice is lower oxalate. Most oxalate in rice is from the bran. So brown rice is higher in oxalate.
Dehydrated from alcohol a problem while eating oxolates
This is not a complete sentence.
I'm carnivore for 10 months now and still oxalate dumping. Face and neck rash. Occassionaly diarrehea and joint pain and inflammation....

Ice packs stop my ox rash within 5 min. So I have several sizes in freezer. Even a hot water bottle wit cold water helps. My daughter picked me up some homeopathic for rash...experimenting with that.
Oxalates can break down to carbon monoxide when heated
Oxalates are not degraded by cooking. You can remove some soluble oxalate from food by boiling and discarding the water.
R there OXALATES in cannibis? I use weed for pain.
This jerk asked her about the calcium Sally recommends then before she could answer he asked her 3 more question getting her off the topic. I'd love to know what calcium she takes. This man adds nothing to this interview.
She SAID👉 Calcuim citrate removed the oxalate the best!

pls dont be lazy and get some timestamps....
Maybe it was her vegan diet that caused all those oxylates. If you eat in balance you won’t have the issues
22:30 NOOOOO - IV Vitamin C is not the direction to take ... Vitamin D3 or it's next level (better, quicker acting) is Calcifediol.
