How great, that you had Sally K. Norton on the show. With her book she is the leading voice of oxalate poisoning. I have it since 2 Month and the low-oxalate consciousness benefits my health a lot, kidney stones tumbling out, and learning how to detox gradually!

    This is interesting !
I think the saying, "All things in moderation," is a good one.
I read once, that if you're having an issue, the culprit is likely the food you eat the most of.
I have found this to usually be true.
It has solved several issues in our family.
The way you test this, is to cut out the suspected food for a month and then add it back. Your body's reaction, both to going off the food ,and then to adding it back should give you some clues.

I don’t agree, I am 60 and not on medication. You need to educate yourself. Food is medicine. Read her book or audiobook is my favorite. You may have to detox from these foods as well. Many blessings.

I guess the takeaway is … don’t overdo anything

I agree, and I find I must avoid oversimplification and generalization. When I saw pure Casein A2-Milk here in Germany I tried it, one glas per day - no immune reaction…
I still think milk from cows is not optimal for humans.

5 almonds is the max oxalates you can have. So if you want to hold on to your oxalate foods know the limit. Good luck!

High oxalates accumulate in the body over decades. Keep eating them you keep accumulating them.

Oh it absolutely was. These foods are full of oxalate. You must learn what high oxalate foods are and follow the low oxalate diet if you have these issues like brain fog, fibromyalgia, arthritis, gastrointestinal issues, osteoporosis or osteopenia, etc

We organically grew and sold these veggie superfoods. Now my feet and joints , bladder, hurt so badly at 72 from the accumulated effect. I thought sweet potatoes, spinach and chard were healthy. Who knew? Glad to have Sally’s research!
