What i like about Robert is that he makes it simple.. teach you how to simplify techniques which others doesn't teach, this is why I'm really hooked on his vids 💕 💕 💕
Really enjoying these vids......after seeing these I feel I have been drawing wheels, and circles in general, in perspective the wrong way! Thank you for taking the time to make these and share with us!
One more perfect video.... ☺ One suggestion, keep sufficient blank part at the end of the video so we get sufficient time to like the video before it starts playing another video...
Been following you for a little while and enjoying your videos a lot! Keep it up. Anyway.. as I was practicing with this I was wondering about a tube. Like one you'd use in the swimmingpool.. or like an inner tube of a tire. How would you draw/shade that?
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoy my content. As for your question I would do the same I did at 8:23 but than instead of half circles I would draw eclipses. And that will give you the tube. I hope this helps.
There's two thing that are very hard when drawing wheels : 1 is where to draw the inner circle. 2 is how to have the 2nd circle (back of wheel) regarding the 1st one without eyeballing it
Eyeballing is not necessary, think of the wheel as a cylinder. The inner circle is on the surface where the outer circle is with the same center point all you have to do is construct parallel surfaces that is a bit further on the inside of the wheel body itself, and construct your next circle there with the same center point.
Useless vlogs gets million of views and these kind of gold video very few.such a shame. Thank you 🙏 for sharing your knowledge

I agree, everyone else makes a simple wheel so complicated, which when you’re plein air sketching it doesn’t help

Very helpful1! how did you learn it? just looking at real wheels ? or is there kind of a book or some other material that facilitated you some tips..?
A mix of all of the above. I have a video here that should help you with the basics for this:|

How you draw headlights
How do i draw wheels that are moving?
Don't draw the texture of the wheel, and add some speed lines.

Hey man I am struggling a lot with object perspective drawings can you suggest me some books ?
Would really mean a lot
Take a look at Scott Robertson's how to draw or the sketching books of Koos Eissen, he was mybdrawimg professor.
