I have this song for county band and I have two solos so I've just been listening for my part so I know what it sounds like lol thanks btw I play the French horn
ayy!! if the concert still hasn't happened yet, i hope it goes well! and if it did, i'm sure you did amazing! the horn part in this piece is SO good (i'm a horn player as well!)
Reminds me of when my band played except me other snare player just stroked out those sixteenth notes and made it all alternated it was so much fun and great practice for our traditional grip for marching band
fellow french horn player here we're gonna be playing this piece for our spring concert, at least I'm hoping I'm the only Horn in my band, so I'm pretty excited for the solo!! :D And the person in this video did an amazing job!!
Brilliantly conceived and brilliantly executed. (standing ovation for sure!) My favorite part was the trombone crossing arm - I'm still laughing out loud.
Love this. There are HEAPS of TH-cam recordings of this piece, but this is the one I'm going to share on Facey because it's visually fun. Love the juxtaposition of the chase after the train and the race for the lost whistle. Great idea. Well played.
One thing I don’t like abt this version is the background need to back off a little bit and the tempo is way faster than it needs to be compared to the actual conductors sheet
This sounded AMAZING and the idea of having someone running back and forth was awesome
I love the guy running around for the whistle. It made me giggle.
Great locomotive chase is my favorite music piece of all time
1:58 The bloody boom gate comes down. Got to wait.... So bloody good.
Nicely done. Looking forward to showing this to my band classes.
This is beautifully made! Well done to all those involved!

Omg i had my Eb clarinet solo in this and it was so beautiful!
Lol there is not Eb clarinet part for this song. I think you mean Bb clarinet because the Eb clarinet is this little baby clarinet
What was the time stamp of it
Rip Robert W Smith
Playing this for my concert this Thursday
Brilliantly conceived and brilliantly executed. (standing ovation for sure!) My favorite part was the trombone crossing arm - I'm still laughing out loud.
So good!!! Can't wait to show this to my middle schoolers!! Rock on!!
3:11 I just love this part
Love this so much!! Bravo!
Love this! My band director at Mize showed us this!
Best part was fh but we had 2 trumpet kids transfer to it and we have concert next month but we didn't practice this song. HOPE WE DO GOOD!

Great job! The Whistle!!!!!!!!...
Only thing I don't like personally as a low brass player you took the focus from baritone/tuba/trombone to alto sax and clarinets.
French horn solo was amazing
Amazing !
This sounds sooo good😭
This is art.
Damn cuh this shit fire
bruh what tempo is this
@@Spencerwithahat the song changes tempo quite often throughout the piece
1st its 180 then its sround like 140 - 168 then back to 180
Love the concept the whistle
No anvil/brake drum
-150 points
A true masterpiece!
What did I just watch
If only i had trumpets in my band that can play
Amazing 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊
this song brought to you in 500 bpm
It's so good but we got assigned to it today and it's taking a bit to practice
it's much harder than it looks but god, it's worth it!

TRAIN SOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG
No baritone?
...no euphoniums :(
I played euphonium. Just didnt record the video for it
Question. Are the players in the credits all in the audio or is that only video (or both)?
Both
Bruh i realized they spelled my name wrong after 11 months :|
So no bass clarinet I got u
The Great Locomotive Chase more like The Great Whistle Chase lol
No euphoniums?!
Euphs got representation 😭 I played horn, euph, and tuba for this and they didnt want me in it twice smh
Lol I’m abt to play marimba and Bella on it 😓
im playing trumpet on in
The transitions are nice but where is the bass
Who else hated the snare on this 😢
Me
I’m sorry but this is fake because the trumpet part is a F nat. on the 8th notes and they were playing G’s
There's always one
@@gracegorman642 fr tho 🤦🏽♀️. anyways Y'all sounded great
It was recorded separately from the video
I can concur. We recorded the audio with music infront of us and then did the video portion by memory
@@gracegorman642 and then there’s you knowing nothing about music
the posture 🤮
