I have a love/hate with my ESP. For one it helped a lot with a LED headlight that went oiut early and wouldve been $1,700. On the other, Ford dealers are extremely backed up and i've never gotten a repair done in less than 3 weeks. Also never qualified for a loaner on ESP coverage. They also won't repair your vehicle the way someone normally would. For example, I had a strut mount go bad early into my ESP coverage period. When this normally happens they would reccomend replacing in pairs, as the other will cause the new one to wear incorrectly. The ESP does not cover this or offer any sort of discount for preventative stuff like this. Can't knock them that hard for that, but when you have to wait 3 weeks to get in for each tiny repair, it just keeps you from going at all.
Kinda funny they wouldn't replace the other one even though its a warranty swap so their not losing any money. I wonder if it a different dealer would have done it, I have heard people with tunes on their truck still getting warranty work because some dealers are easier going. That's why i haven't put my truck in quite yet I'm worried about how long their going to take.
@@f1fiftyjimmy What they told me is that with the ESP a part truly needs to be broken enough to be replaced and that responsibility is on the tech. Ford requires that broken parts be sent back during ESP replacements and if they find that it isn't truly damaged, it all comes back on the tech. So they are incentivised to replace as little as possible. Like with my strut mount, that is all that got replaced. They took apart the entire assembly and just swapped that one component without factoring in how all the other components on the strut could have contributed to it. In short, they make their money if they replace less things than the cost of your contract, so they are incentivised to do as little as possible. If one half-repair causes another failure, that's a whole other deductable payment they can collect.
Which that makes sense. Im sure years ago they use to get away with it.

I have the exact truck! It's a 2019 Oxford White with 802A and a tech and carbon package, though I purchased it new. I recently had a VCT solenoid that went bad only after 24,000 miles. Luckily, I purchased an ESP at the time to cover it with a $100 deductible. Otherwise, it would've cost me $800 for labor and parts!!!
Im so happy I went with a 2019. I’m missing that carbon package! Going to try to piece together a kit. That Ford ESP is truly a life saver!
Buying a 2024 f150 xlt 5.0 they said warranty is $4k.
i can use the warranty anywhere? does the used car inspection have to be at the dealer you buying the warranty from or any ford?

I just got a 2023 f-150. Went ahead and got an unlimited time/125k mile extended warranty through the dealer. $100 deductible, payed for loaner vehicle, and roadside assistance. Paying around $3300 over 6 years. That reasonable or way up charged?
Is that a Ford warranty or an aftermarket company?

@@thenaturespunisher2644either way sounds like you’ll be good. I’ve still heard lots of people getting their warrantys approved with the non-ford stuff.
What do you think you might be able to sell truck for in few years closer to 90k miles on it if you decided to?
My guess would be still above $40k. Considering the mods I have done, but I plan to drive this truck well over 100k as of right now as I love it! Last truck I put almost 160k on it.

I have a warranty through Lombard and I don't see any of the warranty info attached to my Ford Pass app.. can anyone else confirm they see their extended warranty in the Ford Pass app?

@@f1fiftyjimmy Ford did a complete redesign/update to the app on May 23rd (version 5.0) and the warranty info has been removed for now.. I spoke with a Ford rep and they said the developers are still working on improvements/updates and they weren't sure when the warranty (and other info) would be restored.

Yep even when I told the sales guy I had to have a Ford ESP he still tried to sell me his aftermarket one.

I got my Connect fixt 3 times i email with ford back an forward unless 20 emails and they left me hanging they want me to go 4th time on service . i lost 2 months and i was fired from work (cant work with no van) cannot sue them no money for that but i want Everybody to know Ford looks like made in China when you need them or there warranty they do not honor warranty who you pay for! that was me .....maybe you are lucky.
I am buying a used 2021 TOYOTA from a ford dealership and they are offering me ford premium warranty. How can they offer this warranty for a NON ford car?
