Thank you for this video this is very useful, it’s a real shame that these warranty companies are out here doing this to people . We already dealing with high prices every where and to have to worry about our vehicle that we all rely on to get around we don’t need more problems with warranty companies taking advantage is sad some dealerships warranty aren’t no better
I've seen Endurance ranked #1 in a couple warranty-review sites. I always figure those review sites rank things according to the size of their affiliate commission so it's good to hear from an actual shop that they're one of the better ones.
I have ENDURANCE. They deny a claim if it is in regards to a leak. I guess they would deny a claim if the bottom of a transmission blew out, claiming it was a leak.
We are waiting on endurance to approve a engine failure on our 17 Chevy Silverado. Lifters and cam the dealership thinks it should be a complete engine swap because of the damage. We are at least 4 weeks down so far on the truck and not sure if it is the warranty company or the dealership causing the slow down. This is very frustrating.
I bought a used Harley Davidson bike, one year out of warranty, from a dealership. The financial officer offered me a 3 year extended warranty for $5k. I said I’d take it for $2500, and after bartering back and forth I got for my price. Within the first two weeks, I had the bike in for misc. issues and ABS issues. Total cost was $2700. So I came out $200 ahead. I was hesitant to get it but I was glad I did. Never take the first price offered for a warranty from a dealer, they always have wiggle room to adjust the price.
Make sure when getting an extended warranty that if you choose to trade in the vehicle in, say, six months, you can get reimbursed for the remaining warranty that's left,l know a dealer in my area has it in fine print that if you decide to get rid of the vehicle with the warranty they will keep your money you paid for the warranty
I think it is better to have an extended car warranty for used "German" cars because you never know when they break all of a sudden, but from my experience I suggest to avoid to buy a used german car. Coming back to my story, I bought an Audi A6, and along with that, I bought an extended warranty, which I paid around $4000 for five years. 6 or 7 months after I bought the vehicle, the heating system (passenger, steering wheel, and heated mirrors) broke, and when i took it to the Audi dealership, the bill was around $8000, but I only paid $100 out of my pocket, and the rest was covered by the extended warranty. Meanwhile, I changed the tires and brakes, which I spent around $2000 before I sold the car after using it for about 18 months. When I canceled the policy, I got a refund of $3400. All in all, in my case I got benifitted from the extended warranty.
I own two vehicles. Purchased the Ford ESP Premium Care and the Mopar MaxCare - both were purchased just before the factory warranties expired at $50 over cost - fingers crossed. No warranty issues with the Ford and three minor warranty issues with the Chrysler while it was under factory warranty. Dealer (selling dealer 500 miles away) charged me for two repairs (neither done correctly), while the third was deemed 'within factory specifications'. I ended up paying my independent mechanic for the repairs (again). Our last new Mopar was bought in 1985 - exact same situation with multiple dealers several states away. Trying a different Mopar dealer for service going forward.
I had great luck with my Route 66 warranty on my 2010 A6. The car had a few trips to the dealer and it was always expedient and never had to fight a claim or anything.
Hello! So that you're not alone I had a van back in 2016 had it for 4 years nothing but problems with the air conditioning and a few other things I had route 66 never ever had an issue or a denial. Just bought a truck my friend thinking to get it again have questions do they still pay for diagnostics, parts and labour? I usually take my car to the dealer. I would appreciate the feed back if you're using it october 2024 thank you.
@@Casca-su3ty It’s long excited now. But, when I had it they paid parts and labor but the initial shop diagnostic fee was on me. Small price to pay in my opinion, saved me thousands.
Endurance left me high and dry. They wanted the engine dismantled and laid on a table, at my expense before they would even consider paying for anything. That's a trap, and no mechanic has to completely disassemble an engine to diagnose it.
Here in Texas, Endurance is THE WORST, according to dealerships. I just had a claim submitted by my dealership and they not only denied it, but they took WEEKS to deny it, and then never even sent an adjustor, and refused reconsideration, and yelled at the service adviser and told her never to call back, and then was also verbally abusive to me when i tried to get an explanation of why. I had already spoken with someone in the beginning of the process who gave me a stupid excuse, and my service advisor explained that Endurance ALWAYS denies the first try, and then they play the long waiting game in order to not have to pay. I have been without my car for over a month and they still have not paid. Endurance is a joke. I had a good newer car with low miles, and a freak coolant leak into the engine happened and they refused to even go past the diagnostic and look further and see where it was coming from. They will be nice to you in the beginning, but try and file a claim, and YOU ARE SCREWED!
My mechanic won’t take car shield. I’ve had nothing but problems with endurance warranty. I fixed my thermostat myself and since I’m not a tech I was denied. Thermostat was replaced over 10,000 miles and a year from the time I did a claim
I have used them had good experiences. one was from FORD Extended warranty. after that expired I used CarChex, that was a good one. The dealer never had any issues with CarChex that was back in 2015 for 3yrs I had to use it all because it was a FORD Vehicle.
A comment: when buying a new vehicle, it comes with a standard manufacturer warranty! The extended warranty they are pushing can be purchased Anytime. So if the vehicle is a problem then get the warranty later, if not you saved $$$😊
Also, if your extended warranty is for 100K miles and the factory warranty is 60K, then the extended warranty is only good for 40K since it does not take effect after the original warranty expires.
@@TheJjt725 That is very standard with ANY warranty policy (auto, home, life). There is always a waiting period. I am pointing out that if the vehicle has a three year warranty, why pay for an extended warranty that won't take effect for three years. Wait till the factory warranty is close to expiration, then get an extended warranty (if car has had problems). Just don't get a warranty that is pitched on late night TV...
My grandmother found out the hard way about all the things that weren't covered under her new Chevy pickup's "bumper-to-bumper" extended warranty. Those dealership bastards charged her everytime she had a problem . . . and she had lots of problems.

Suprisingly enough the extended warranty company I got actually paid for most of a valve cover leak and a partial front end rebuild on my F250. I got my money back on the price of the warranty.
Are you talking about dealer "extended warranties" and repairs are done at th dealers on new and used cars, or warranties you buy after you own the car ad the work is done buy an independent shop? Or both?
In Australia a warranty is backed by consumer law. If there are evident defects to cover then the insurance is unnecessary. So selling such a product is unlawful. Its misleading and deceptive conduct and the govt can sue and impose massive fines. Even extended warranties on tv etc
Do you know how hard it is to sell warranties at a Mercedes dealership? You are exaggerating sir. And if she is? She is very good at what she does and I would be proud of her and I wouldn't be displaying her personal income on the open internet.
I've watched a couple of videos where you talk about car warranties. What do you recommend to your clients instead of a warranty to pay for costly repairs?
If you have an extended warranty it is harder than hell to find a company or a mechanic who will put in claims for you they just don't want to be bothered
I'd never buy an extended warranty, after listening to the video of yours. And others. I just put a few $ away for unexpected repairs each month. And this is after paying cash, for the new car.
the dealership i work at as a tech sells endurance and they are pretty good at approving repairs, but car shield and veritas i think is their name i wouldnt recommend to anyone
A Honda dealership pesters me monthly via an email from the owner (yeah right) to purchase extended warranty coverage. It's an 18' accord with $59K. No thanks!
WE quit accepting car extended warranty jobs. The warranty company you are speaking about is the worst, it was because of the problem with them that we had the customer's car removed and we quit doing the warranty jobs period, not worth the trouble we had to go through to repair a car properly
I think warranties can be hit or miss but repair shops pitching a fit and claiming a repair takes 3 months "because of the warranty" is BS. They get paid less for warranty work so a lot of shops will put and keep you at the end of the line. Just because you wanted to be cautious.
After owning so many cars in my lifetime, as of now, factory extended coverage IS the way to go....period. Yes, they might charge you a bit more, but its worth it. Zero headaches, zero deductible , always a loaner driving home with and no question asked. I will never buy after market coverage, even if Oprah promotes them. And in the end, they even clean the car like new, before I get it back.
I've had endurance for the last 5 years and they have been great. My warranty paid for itself after my first major repair. The only issue is, they cover up to $130 an hour. Since I take it to the dealer. I have to come up with the difference of $30 per hour. It's a small price to pay in the end. It's better than forking out thousands. I'd buy endurance again on my next car.
Remember one other thing too… their advertising says we will pay for all COVERED repairs, rest assured your claim will most like be denied due to one of the hundreds of parts being not covered!
There's another video about CarShield not covering a repair. They said they would cover the engine and the transmission, but this person had the flywheel break. While it sits between and engine and transmission, it's not technically part of either, so nope, not covered.
Warranty company is a scam. What i would do is save $100 - $200 a month for car repairs. Either put it in a bank and get interest rates or just stack up and hope nothing terrible goes wrong while you save. I heard nothing but bad things about these car Warranty places.. some of them won't even pay for the repairs.. some paid actress 👏🏾 😂😂
I just went and asked my advisors and they all shook their heads no. They said they decline everything, refuse to pay for quality parts and will not pay industry standard labor rates. I'd avoid them.
Too bad all the top repeatable mechanics shops across America. Come up with their own extended warranty system like one big national pool system whereas a client gets rewarded for keeping up with their maintenance. I imagine some system could be established where as an ASE mechanic that over all the top notch auto mechanic shops across America and he would make the decision on the coverage of the damage rather than an person being a desk having no knowledge whatsoever only looking out for company profits.
Last Honda I bought, the dealership actually tired to talk me out of Honda Care Warranty saying it has a lot of exclusions. Yet it’s literally a paragraph. What’s your experience or do people only take their Honda Care coveted cars to Honda dealerships?

Can you tell me the 2 or 3 companies that are pretty good aside from Endurance ?
pleaaaaase with a cherry on top and a nice impact drill lol
My son is interested in a warranty but iv hears nothing but negative reviews my whole life as iv always had new vehicles and never dealt with aftermarket so kinda new to this and your video was extremely helpful as well as the comment below about Silverrock thank you great video

Never take the first price offered for a warranty from a dealer, they always have wiggle room to adjust the price.
they're always like your warranty is about to expire. and I'm thinking I don't even have a warranty left to expire.
Make sure when getting an extended warranty that if you choose to trade in the vehicle in, say, six months, you can get reimbursed for the remaining warranty that's left,l know a dealer in my area has it in fine print that if you decide to get rid of the vehicle with the warranty they will keep your money you paid for the warranty
this is great info… Almost seems like he was afraid to tell you this stuff. Like maybe he was afraid they were going to take him out or something? 😂
I have endurance for my Tesla. Always been good 👍
I think it is better to have an extended car warranty for used "German" cars because you never know when they break all of a sudden, but from my experience I suggest to avoid to buy a used german car.
Once again great video from you guys. Hope more folks see it and seriously consider taking a chance on these companies.
Thanks John!
@jaymoor8995 👍 thank you for the reply
I can’t believe all of our beloved celebrities and coaches would work on behalf of CarShield if they weren’t totally above board 🤨
Money talks.
Endurance left me high and dry. They wanted the engine dismantled and laid on a table, at my expense before they would even consider paying for anything. That's a trap, and no mechanic has to completely disassemble an engine to diagnose it.
A little critical🤣Way too polite
Did you get a rental?
What ended up happening ?
Please share story
The dealership gets 3 percent of the MSRP back from the car company when they sell
no
Pay my own bills thank you! Always have! 😊
Kamala's new job,, Car Shield spokesperson.
Never buy anything gm
I called my Senators office and asked them to look into auto and home warranty companies.
Great info thanks for sharing!!!
Glad it was helpful!
Have you dealt with assurant company? Are they good, decent, or bad? Thanks!
ASC is an excellent extended warranty company - they paid for a new OEM water pump and OEM oil pan for my truck - 100% payment, no deductible or copay!
Who is ASC ? Thanks
I have been in the business for 25 yrs and even spent a short time with Marshfield and I agree with you 100. I quit cs when I learned the truth about thier practices

I just purchase a 2024 Forester it come with the 3 years 30k but i did get a extra 3 year warranty thru Subaru extended plan i paid 900.00
i dont know i quess its a peace of mind .Subaru will come and get it ,Subaru will work on it.
I think $900 for an actual Subaru extended plan is great!
The only warranties I like are from the manufacturer. I still don’t buy them, but they at least get me to read the fine print.
Endurance is the that Danica Patrick campaigns on TV
Also a thumbs up for Endurance from me
really im in the middlr of signing up but im stalling to investigate how many claims have you filed
Then CAR SHIELD should be facing a class action lawsuit. Purchase a manufacturer warranty.
You mean ICE TEA is lying to us 😂😂
Can you recommend a garage in the Provo area? My son and his wife desperately need a good garage like yours but they are 1 hour away from you.
Interesting thing that I’ve learned is that when you trade the car in, you can get a refund.
I’m about to cancel mine
Great video and information.
Love your honesty.
Suprisingly enough the extended warranty company I got actually paid for most of a valve cover leak and a partial front end rebuild on my F250. I got my money back on the price of the warranty.
I appreciate your feedback
Any feedback on Zurich extended warranty
Are you talking about dealer "extended warranties" and repairs are done at th dealers on new and used cars, or warranties you buy after you own the car ad the work is done buy an independent shop?
Or both?
In Australia a warranty is backed by consumer law. If there are evident defects to cover then the insurance is unnecessary. So selling such a product is unlawful. Its misleading and deceptive conduct and the govt can sue and impose massive fines. Even extended warranties on tv etc
Has anyone had experience with Empire? I have an EV and they were the only company I found that offered EV coverage.
These aren't warranty companies. These companies sell service contracts. Huge difference between a warranty and a service contract..
There are exclusions and fine-print in EVERY insurance policy. I takes an idiot not to read them before signing on the dotted line.
How do you feel about mechanical breakdown insurance through your car insurance company ?
I do't see any warranty companies leaving protest comments defending themselves.
I was a little worried about that as I don't want any trouble but felt it important to let my clients know.
Thank you!
At the time I worked there, the absolute top salesman sold 10% of calls. Now everyone sells 25%.
Yes yes buy carshield cause they hire tv actors!
Correction....shitty tv actors
Slow
Thank you so much for sharing your insight.
My pleasure!
I just bought TSW from Honda on a used Pilot. Anyone have experience with them? Good or no?
I cancelled it after re-reading the fine print.
My niece makes 250 thousand dollars a year for selling these warranties in a Mercedes dealership.
Do you know how hard it is to sell warranties at a Mercedes dealership? You are exaggerating sir. And if she is? She is very good at what she does and I would be proud of her and I wouldn't be displaying her personal income on the open internet.

Did you have any experience with Mechanical Breakdown Insurance from Geico?
Service Advisors paid on commission is a bad idea too.
I've watched a couple of videos where you talk about car warranties. What do you recommend to your clients instead of a warranty to pay for costly repairs?
Buy a Toyota.
Save the money you would have spent on the warranty or if available, buy the extended warranty offered from the manufacturer.
Is carshield the one Danica Patrick is selling?
Oh, I hope not. I like her, but she sold her soul if she is.
She promotes Endurance.
Not sure...I think it may be Endurance which isn't too bad
Do you have any experience with a place called Carma Care? Thank you.
Glad to help!
the dealership i work at as a tech sells endurance and they are pretty good at approving repairs, but car shield and veritas i think is their name i wouldnt recommend to anyone
I know a guy who was denied a warranty claim because he used his car for commercial purposes (he delivered pizza) as a second job.
Yeah, that's something you want to keep to yourself... Make sure you take down the Domino's sign off the roof before taking it in lol.
Yes, we have had something very similar. The warranty companies ask us if there are any decals on the vehicle related to business use also.
They appear to spend more on advertising than they do claims.
WARRANTIES CAN ONLY BE ISSUED BY THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER
Ok Mr Technical
I think warranties can be hit or miss but repair shops pitching a fit and claiming a repair takes 3 months "because of the warranty" is BS. They get paid less for warranty work so a lot of shops will put and keep you at the end of the line. Just because you wanted to be cautious.
big settlement for CarShield 10 million
How is route 66 extended car warranty?
I just went and asked my advisors and they all shook their heads no. They said they decline everything, refuse to pay for quality parts and will not pay industry standard labor rates. I'd avoid them.
If you buy a car with a good value reputation like a volvo, you don't need an extended warranty if you keep up on the maintenance.
@marth6271 there is an online honda dealership that sells hondacare warranties I purchased one for my 2023 CRV sport touring for 8 years/120,000 miles $0 deductible for $1,463.00. Anyone interested look up Saccucci Honda. Fantastic deal.
The Honda Care Warranty must be serviced at the Honda dealer but I am a fan of extended warranties direct from the manufacturer, even though my clients have to go to the dealer if I find a covered repair.
What about NVP Warranty
Not sure what that one is
