OAHS probably not worth it for most people unless they want to make handbalancing their primary focus (and they are willing to slow down progress in other areas), or are a full time professional athlete
@@SaturnoMovement I was watching a video the other year that had an acrobat being interviewed and she went on a short rant about how they spend many many years developing the skill to do the one-armed handstand, especially on the bar or on rings and it seems to get the least response from the crowd and no one ever gives commentary the next day about how hard it really is. They spend all of that time just to get very little appreciation for such hard work. They say it's one of the hardest things to learn and the greatest one to be ignored
@@LatimusChadimusthis is true. You truly need to train for it to get an idea of how HARD it really is and how much work goes into it. That’s why it’s important to do it mainly for yourself and not for others, but that’s easier said than done. Humans love validation. That’s why so many people quit one arm handstand training after they realize the amount of effort it takes to get just 5 seconds on a straddle position. It’s not for everyone. -Gabo
@@SaturnoMovement well it's not like the acrobats are doing it for validation, they are just pointing out the fact how underappreciated that feat of strength is when it takes them such a long time to get to that point of being able to do one, especially on unusual objects during a show

Hi Gabo, As always great video ! Actually i was looking for a tutorial/exercises to learn pincha to handstand and could not find one 😢 Maybe you or the family could help 🙏 Hugs from Germany
I am at the moment training for the One Arm, but progress is minimal. I meet all the requirements except 5. My body type isn’t an advantage with 2m/96kg, and -unfortunately and unexplained- lower back problems now and then. What would your tips be for this situation?
I want to reach that calisthecnics skills but i cant, i dont find good excersices for me and im on recovery bc i got really sick since the LAST year and im still recovering, but i want to learn first flexibility to do alot of things and being healthy but i dont know what to do , could u please help me and tell me how can i start and some excercises? I can only reach the tip of my shoes STANDING up but i want to learn more like the slpit and that stuff if u can help me i would appreciate it to much, anyway new sub
So in the context of a complete training regime where you'd like to train balance strength endurance explosiveness etc and the oahs would be the balance aspect of the routine, would you still recommend 8-10 hours a week?
3-4 seconds is most likely a slow fall. It's very unlikely your form is good if that's the only handstand training you have done for it. Prove me wrong by showing me video

Why i struggle with handstand would be a more accurate title
Well it is more common for people to struggle with doing it with one arm so let's think about others here haha

And I liked your last question, you ‘not normal’ person. 😅
I'm 190cm and 90kgs. Yes it gets harder, yes you need to be better and more dedicated, yes it will still work

I just spammed hspu (free form and wall) and did many attempts throughout the day for 5 times a week and got the OAHS ( decent form) for 3-4 seconds.
