What do you do to recover after a workout like this? I wondered about cryotherapy; perhaps you could consider a cheaper version of cryotherapy. Also, do you have a video where you do a workout in the pool? It might minimize potential injury. These exercises are awesome.

As a graduated phisical educator and a trainer i can tell, this was a little mind blowing for me. Progression is actually possible on a bodyweight workout (increasing resistence arm, amplitude, time under load, set and reps, and always can use a belt with some weight). The rings instability will increase the activation of not only more miscles but also henerate something called pre-tension (its when type 1 muscle fibers pre activate to generate a more stable movement. And for me, this is something much more important than people use tho think). Ty, Sondre!
This is what surprised me most when I first got rings, how easily you can find a variation that is just hard enough for you and how many muscle groups you can target with them. hopefully one day I can achieve some of those advanced variations!
That workout destroyed me just sitting in my chair haha! Bodyweight exercises are highly underrated. Now, I am nowhere near the same condition as you gents, but the basic bodywieght exercises I perform have helped me mountain biking. Good stuff guys!
3 reps of an assisted one arm pull-up and my body is reaching critical failure. And a ring pike push-up what in the world that’s crazy. Really unbelievable how Sondre is so stable on the rings, at many points the rings were stationary and it might as well of been a straight bar.
Most gym machine are too narrow for the shoulder, not incorporated full range of motion, which slowly degrades the rotator capsule. These are amazing, you can see both of you widen and your shoulders blow up after, thanks for sharing.

Climbing requires upper body strength endurance, and the largest limiting factor are usually hand/finger tendons and connecting tissue. You can exert only as much strength as your weakest link allows. But forearm strength and endurance will also likely be lacking, as evidenced by Sondre's arm soreness in the following day =P
Great workout. When it comes to dips, I have switched to the "Charles Glass" version. Bring your knees up to your chest (or as high as you can get them), then lean forward. The contraction on your chest muscles is way better. It will halve the amount of reps you can do.

Oh wow, if the prices have soared that high, it indicates that most people don't know that they're worth about €10 a pair and that the other €140 is all profit. They were less than €30 a pair back in the 2010s when I bought mine.
Depends on how you look at it 😊 Progressive overload is perfectly achievable. It’s a little more complex and require more knowledge about how to adjust exercises compared to weightlifting. For some, this is a bad thing, for others it is an interesting and fun way develop your strength training
