So many 'experts' have tried to prove he 'lip syncs', all agree he doesn't. You can listen to Dimash sing a cappella, live, total perfection. So - TAKE IT BACK.
Dimash is a phenomenon, he started singing lessons and 5 when it was found he has perfect pitch. He is university educated with degrees in classical opera, another in contemporary music, pop and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has just (18th June 2020) completed his Masters specialising in Composition, and receiving his Masters degree with Honours, having achieved the maximum score of 100%. His range is over 6 octaves (7 now) but Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a decorated national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn but again he is doing well with it. In this performance he was 22 and in a competition for professional singers (not his parents) in China he was invited as a wildcard and after this one song was catapulted to stardom and is now a pop superstar in China. He is now also famous in Russia mainly for his neo classical work with Igor Krutoy and many of those works are very operatic. His vocals range from a rich bass baritone through to an extremely high soprano and his whistle register has hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato. He is on a solo world tour tight now and in his concerts he sings for 3 to 4 hours with an eclectic mix of styles. He is from a very musical family both parents and his sister sing, mother is a soprano. Dimash was offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far, but I suspect world domination will soon come his way. He is a multi instrumentalist too and is very competent with 8 instruments but can play just about anything. He is 26 now, and is mostly known as a live performer, he has released a triple platinum album in China though. It has been recognised that his high notes are not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does its spectacular like everything else about him. He has billions of fans worldwide and I am definitely one of them, and he calls us his Dears, as we are all as dear to him as his family, and he means it, he knows who helped to make him famous. He is a softly spoken, polite, elegant and very humble respectful young man. He deserves every bit of the success he is having, he has worked very hard for the past 20 plus years and now his dreams as a young 5 year old are coming true. There is an interview he did for BBC World Service in 2018 where the interviewer showed a drawing he did when he was 5 of him singing on a big stage with microphones, speakers and his beloved music cassettes showing his desire to be where he is now. His recent sellout world tour has been postponed due to the covid-19 epidemic but will restart when its safe to do so. He has concerts lined up in Dusseldorf, Prague and Minsk there will be others. Not his parents. The people in the lit rooms are the other contestants and the show staff assigned to host them. Dimash is from Kazakhstan, and I believe the current count is singing in 12 languages. I imagine he can sing in any language as long as someone teaches him the phonetic pronunciation.

Dimash was born with perfect pitch, and a passion for singing even in infancy. He started in formal Music Academy at the age of 5. From that day to this, he has trained an extra 3 hours, EVERY day, honing his natural ability, and becoming better with every passing year. He now is 26 and stands 6'3"tall. E1 Growling E2 lowest chest A1 lowest vocal fry C6 highest mix F#6 highest head D8 highest whistle Which is 6 octaves and 5 semitones. In growl , He can go down to a E1. 6 octaves and 8 semitones. Tenors don’t usually sing in the lower half of the 2nd octave.... which He smashes :D To put that in comparison: He sings lower than bass in Opera. This was the first song he sang in I am singer competition in China. He entered as an unknown . The day after he needed body guards to go outside. He is from Kazakhstan and is the best singer in the world. He sings all genres of music and was offered a place with an opera company but turned it down to do his own style of music. He’s been singing since the age of 5, sings in 12 languages, speaks Kazakh and Russian and learning English and Mandarin. He comes from a close musical family and his mother is an opera singer. "The Singer" is an annual Chinese TV show for highly respected Chinese singers to compete. Dimash was the only non Chinese singer invited because the producer saw him perform for the Chinese and Kazakh presidents and was very impressed. He is from Kazakhstan is 6ft 3, 1/4 and was the youngest ever competitor in 2017 at only 22 years old. Because of his age and the fact he was a wild card selection, he was asked to perform first. No pressure!! To add to the complexity, he sang SOS in French! The audience went wild for him! When the show was broadcast that night on TV to approximately 600 million Chinese households he had to have bodyguards the next morning for the first time in his life as he had become a superstar overnight in China. He is now a world class artist and just turned 26 on the 24th of May. His tour of the world to sold out arenas with his solo concerts was placed on hold until next year due to Covid-19. He also performs in concerts with the famous Russian composer Igor Krutoy, and is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. People don’t lip-sync in Singer because it’s the biggest singing show in China where famous singers compete against each other. YOU get invited and they do not allow you to lip-sync obviously because that would be a great disrespect to all other singers competing. Not to forget Dimash has a wide vocal range so he has no reason to lip-sync. I do think I know why you think he is lip-singing beside it seems almost impossible, he also sings it without much problem or tension which makes you believe he isn’t really singing, but he has sung this song many times before and his vocal range is just insane so he’s mostly relaxed at normal high notes. One evidence is that a girl one time failed in singing her song well even though she rehearsed it many times. She was crying afterwards, she is quite famous but is very young so she felt like it was the biggest disaster in her life/career because millions of people would see that.

I remember first coming across this man many, many years ago because his technique was shown to us by one of our voice teachers in musical theatre training. Back then, we were astounded at his range, and couldn't quite be sure if he was a really late developer or if he was blessed enough to carry through all that range past puberty (guys will know exactly what I mean by this). Normally if you are lucky, you may be able to hold onto some of your upper register if you have consistent training before, during and after, but it's very, very, very rare to hold onto all of it. Not only does it require sheer talent, but the dedication to his craft throughout time and hitting the jackpot in being able to carry over so much register after puberty, all of that immediately sets him on a completely different level that the vast majority of us in the world will never reach. That is a man who is gifted, and I hope that voice is preserved for as long as possible because it's truly a once in a lifetime thing to see. There's absolutely no competition with him, but we get to stand in awe and admiration.

Dimash was offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far, but I suspect world domination will soon come his way. He is a multi instrumentalist too and is very competent with 8 instruments but can play just about anything. He is 26 now, and is mostly known as a live performer, he has released a triple platinum album in China though. It has been recognised that his high notes are not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does its spectacular like everything else about him. He has billions of fans worldwide and I am definitely one of them, and he calls us his Dears, as we are all as dear to him as his family, and he means it, he knows who helped to make him famous. He is a softly spoken, polite, elegant and very humble respectful young man. He deserves every bit of the success he is having, he has worked very hard for the past 20 plus years and now his dreams as a young 5 year old are coming true. There is an interview he did for BBC World Service in 2018 where the interviewer showed a drawing he did when he was 5 of him singing on a big stage with microphones, speakers and his beloved music cassettes showing his desire to be where he is now. His recent sellout world tour has been postponed due to the covid-19 epidemic but will restart when its safe to do so. He has concerts lined up in Dusseldorf, Prague and Minsk there will be others. Not his parents. The people in the lit rooms are the other contestants and the show staff assigned to host them. Dimash is from Kazakhstan, and I believe the current count is singing in 12 languages. I imagine he can sing in any language as long as someone teaches him the phonetic pronunciation.

Don't feel bad--most people in the Western world are just learning about him. He's from Kazakhstan---formerly part of Russia, till they won their freedom, only about 30 years ago. Dimash was born with perfect pitch, and a passion for singing even in infancy. He started in formal Music Academy at the age of 5. From that day to this, he has trained an extra 3 hours, EVERY day, honing his natural ability, and becoming better with every passing year. He now is 26 and stands 6'3"tall. To hear more of his range, try listening to "Ogni Pietra," which was composed specifically for Dimash's abilities. Also, try "Sinful Passions," where he does a 22 second run on one breath: and "Opera 2" (which is not an opera, but very entertaining.)
OH, I mustn't forget: Besides being such a magnificent singer, he is one of the very nicest people one could ever hope to meet. He's devoted to his parents and brother and sister (plus grandparents); he's kind, thoughtful, honest, hard-working and never complaining. That's not his parents. That lady was a fellow competitor and that man was her helper on this show. His parents haven't flown in from Kazakhstan. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. In Singer 2017, he was the only NON CHINESE competitor here and has sung in 12 languages. He is fluent in Kazakh and Russian, passable in English (improving) as well as a smattering of Mandarin.

This was the first song he sang in I am singer competition in China. He entered as an unknown . The day after he needed body guards to go outside. He is from Kazakhstan and is the best singer in the world. He sings all genres of music and was offered a place with an opera company but turned it down to do his own style of music. "The Singer" is an annual Chinese TV show for highly respected Chinese singers to compete. Dimash was the only non Chinese singer invited because the producer saw him perform for the Chinese and Kazakh presidents and was very impressed. He is from Kazakhstan is 6ft 3, 1/4 and was the youngest ever competitor in 2017 at only 22 years old. Because of his age and the fact he was a wild card selection, he was asked to perform first. No pressure!!
To add to the complexity, he sang SOS in French! The audience went wild for him! When the show was broadcast that night on TV to approximately 600 million Chinese households he had to have bodyguards the next morning for the first time in his life as he had become a superstar overnight in China. He is now a world class artist and just turned 26 on the 24th of May. His tour of the world to sold out arenas with his solo concerts was placed on hold until next year due to Covid-19. He also performs in concerts with the famous Russian composer Igor Krutoy, and is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses.
He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition with a top mark of 100%. He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down for a more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 12 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. People don’t lip-sync in Singer because it’s the biggest singing show in China where famous singers compete against each other. YOU get invited and they do not allow you to lip-sync obviously because that would be a great disrespect to all other singers competing. Not to forget Dimash has a wide vocal range so he has no reason to lip-sync.
I do think I know why you think he is lip-singing beside it seems almost impossible, he also sings it without much problem or tension which makes you believe he isn’t really singing, but he has sung this song many times before and his vocal range is just insane so he’s mostly relaxed at normal high notes.
One evidence is that a girl one time failed in singing her song well even though she rehearsed it many times. She was crying afterwards, she is quite famous but is very young so she felt like it was the biggest disaster in her life/career because millions of people would see that.

He’s from Kazakhstan, his mother is a soprano singer, he had perfect pitch and he’s been training since he was 5. He was not quite 23 during this competition. He is from aktobe kazakhstan. He has 2 other siblings. And this is when he was on the I am singer competition in China. He won second place. Which I don't understand how he was second. But you girl have been dimashified
I remember first coming across this man many, many years ago because his technique was shown to us by one of our voice teachers in musical theatre training. Back then, we were astounded at his range, and couldn't quite be sure if he was a really late developer or if he was blessed enough to carry through all that range past puberty (guys will know exactly what I mean by this).
Normally if you are lucky, you may be able to hold onto some of your upper register if you have consistent training before, during and after, but it's very, very, very rare to hold onto all of it. Not only does it require sheer talent, but the dedication to his craft throughout time and hitting the jackpot in being able to carry over so much register after puberty, all of that immediately sets him on a completely different level that the vast majority of us in the world will never reach.
That is a man who is gifted, and I hope that voice is preserved for as long as possible because it's truly a once in a lifetime thing to see. There's absolutely no competition with him, but we get to stand in awe and admiration.
