The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. SOS is the song that introduced Dimash to the world and opened many great opportunities and collaborations for him. There are a number of versions of Dimash singing this song, each different but all great. The song SOS comes from the famous 1978 Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania', which is well known in French-speaking countries, and is a pretty difficult song to sing. In 2017 Dimash received a wild card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant ever at 22 years old and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part in this competition. Although well-known and respected in his homeland Kazakhstan, few in China knew or heard about Dimash before, but with his first song, SOS, Dimash shocked the audience and captured the hearts of over 600 million of viewers overnight, and the rest is history as the saying goes.

Dimash has 7+ octaves on a bad day. He was 22 when he was involved in this Chinese contest. He will be 29 on the 24th of May. He has 20+ years of classical training under his belt and also trained in contemporary and pop singing. He just recently completed his doctoral studies and dissertation and is currently living in Las Angeles attending the L.A. campus of the New York School of Fine Arts studying Film Directing but is still touring all over the world in concerts. He is a force to be reckoned with.

Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 28-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. Dimash has three songs that are quite metal, one with a symphonic metal style, it's called ''Across Endless Dimensions'', the second one is between symphonic and industrial metal (Electronic) and it's called ''War and Peace''. The third song would be in the tribal metal category, it mixes a classic metal style and instrumentation, with instrumentation typical of the Kazakhstani culture, it's called ''Durdaraz''. Apart from these three songs, in many other songs he implements typical metal instrumentation, not only the instruments, but also the style of playing them, but he uses them at certain times. I'd personally recommend the typical starter pack with him, then venture to his newer stuff. All his early stuff is diverse and shows completely different aspects of his singing. Sinful Passion is in Russian (SOS was French), then Olympico (Italian), followed by Opera 2. Then when you want to confirm he is an alien, hit up Contessa/Diva Dance which has the "impossible" song from The Fifth Element movie (OMG}. To hear him sing a D8, you can listen to unforgettable day Gaiku. He speaks Kazakh & Russian fluently (as his country was taken to be part of Soviet Union & only gained independence in 1991). He is conversational in English now & getting better every day. This competition was in China. The contestants are all already famous stars in China- this season was the 1st producers allowed a non Chinese person to compete. He was brought in as a wildcard. He was unknown in China- although the crowd is excited in the beginning, they didn’t know him- he was just the 1st time wildcard & the 1st performance of the new season. The day after this performance aired- It had more than 600 MILLION views online & he needed bodyguards overnight. Because metal and opera have so much in common, (They both require massive amounts of power ) I suggest "El Amor En Ti ." It starts very operatic but develops a stronger and stronger beat until it is more metal than opera. So many of Dimash's songs are very powerful. A Kazakh song, "Samaltau" is one of my favorites. Ooh and don't forget "Love Is Like a Dream ", ...and all the rest. Dimash continually amazes me. The purity and control of his voice is amazing. Good reaction video.

Was 22 at the time, so young man here. He does have vocal training. Pretty much his whole life. I haven't heard him sing a metal song yet, but he can sing with distortion. SOS is the song that introduced Dimash to the world and opened many great opportunities and collaborations for him. There are a number of versions of Dimash singing this song, each different but all great. The song SOS comes from the famous 1978 Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania', which is well known in French-speaking countries, and is a pretty difficult song to sing. In 2017 Dimash received a wild card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant ever at 22 years old and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part in this competition. Although well-known and respected in his homeland Kazakhstan, few in China knew or heard about Dimash before, but with his first song, SOS, Dimash shocked the audience and captured the hearts of over 600 million of viewers overnight, and the rest is history as the saying goes.

This performance is from 2017 when Dimash participated in the Chinese talent show "Singer" for professional Chinese singers. Dimash, who is from Kazakhstan, was the first foreigner to be invited. He was 22 at the time and the youngest among the competitors. He ended up in 2nd place very close to the winner but after his first performance "Sos" he got first place in the hearts of the Chinese people. I regularly watch the show with all Dimash's songs because all his performances is recorded live (no playback or autotune) and because I think it's fun to see how much he has developed both as a vocalist but also his pronunciation of foreign languages he sings in 14 languages, but apart from his mother tongue, he only speaks Russian fluently. However, he studies both English and Mandarin. Dimash sings effortlessly in all voice ranges, even a D8 he can perform. This makes him the most talented vocalist in the world. I am proud to be one of his devoted Dears.

Dimash is a 28-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas.
If you want to know a little more about Dimash, then I suggest you to watch the video where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. It was a big surprise for him as he saw his father.
I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional.
BTW the audience is also the jury.
During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his habit at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰.
I love this video because he still seemed so innocent. Just a boy and he didn't seem as serious as he sometimes is these days. He still looked carefree. I think what's happening today in the world worries him a lot.

Dimash has three songs that are quite metal, one with a symphonic metal style, it's called ''Across Endless Dimensions'', the second one is between symphonic and industrial metal (Electronic) and it's called ''War and Peace''. The third song would be in the tribal metal category, it mixes a classic metal style and instrumentation, with instrumentation typical of the Kazakhstani culture, it's called ''Durdaraz''.
Apart from these three songs, in many other songs he implements typical metal instrumentation, not only the instruments, but also the style of playing them, but he uses them at certain times.

I'd personally recommend the typical starter pack with him, then venture to his newer stuff. All his early stuff is diverse and shows completely different aspects of his singing. Sinful Passion is in Russian (SOS was French), then Olympico (Italian), followed by Opera 2. Then when you want to confirm he is an alien, hit up Contessa/Diva Dance which has the "impossible" song from The Fifth Element movie (OMG}. To hear him sing a D8, you can listen to unforgettable day Gaiku. He sings in many languages and genres from pop to opera. He recently did El Amor En Ti in Spanish. You get 4 Dimash's on stage, one sings Baritone, one Tenor, One Soprano, and one pop. Huge concert in his own country of Kazakahstan. Since he was only 22 years old at the time of the performance you watched, you will be stunned at what he does now. He will be 29 next week.

Hi! I haven’t watched your reaction yet, but wanted to let you know Dimash is from Kazakhstan- a country that sits both in the European & (Central) Asian continents. He speaks Kazakh & Russian fluently (as his country was taken to be part of Soviet Union & only gained independence in 1991). He is conversational in English now & getting better every day. This competition was in China. The contestants are all already famous stars in China- this season was the 1st producers allowed a non Chinese person to compete. He was brought in as a wildcard. He was unknown in China- although the crowd is excited in the beginning, they didn’t know him- he was just the 1st time wildcard & the 1st performance of the new season. The day after this performance aired- It had more than 600 MILLION views online & he needed bodyguards overnight. Lastly I will tell you- you have NO IDEA what he is capable of from this one song… let that sink in!!😂 Hope you go down the rabbit hole! Because metal and opera have so much in common, (They both require massive amounts of power ) I suggest "El Amor En Ti ."
It starts very operatic but develops a stronger and stronger beat until it is more metal than opera.
So many of Dimash's songs are very powerful. A Kazakh song, "Samaltau" is one of my favorites. Ooh and don't forget "Love Is Like a Dream ", ...and all the rest. Dimash continually amazes me. The purity and control of his voice is amazing.
