Hi! I haven’t watched your reaction yet, but wanted to let you know Dimash is from Kazakhstan- a country that sits both in the European & (Central) Asian continents. He speaks Kazakh & Russian fluently (as his country was taken to be part of Soviet Union & only gained independence in 1991). He is conversational in English now & getting better every day. This competition was in China. The contestants are all already famous stars in China- this season was the 1st producers allowed a non Chinese person to compete. He was brought in as a wildcard. He was unknown in China- although the crowd is excited in the beginning, they didn’t know him- he was just the 1st time wildcard & the 1st performance of the new season. The day after this performance aired- It had more than 600 MILLION views online & he needed bodyguards overnight. Lastly I will tell you- you have NO IDEA what he is capable of from this one song… let that sink in!!😂 Hope you go down the rabbit hole! Ok so it’s clear you’re blown away by his talent, but it doesn’t seem like the song quite fully grabbed you. So I’ll give you 4 suggestions that you might like better the song style (though you’ll soon discover that with Dimash that eventually all gets thrown out the window & you love any style he does). 💥Stranger- New Wave 2021 he premiered this song. So 4yrs after this SOS performance. It has an epic fantasy feel. ⚡️Olimpico- you can see him in his element at one of his full concerts. I’ll just say it should pump you up listening to it. Epic describes all of these btw ✨Across Endless Dimensions- look for the official music video- the director for an Italian sci fi movie sought Dimash out specifically & it’s a cool song & video 🔥Queen’s Show Must Go On- Dimash performs on this same competition show in 2017. Dimash has 7+ octaves on a bad day. He was 22 when he was involved in this Chinese contest. He will be 29 on the 24th of May. He has 20+ years of classical training under his belt and also trained in contemporary and pop singing. He just recently completed his doctoral studies and dissertation and is currently living in Las Angeles attending the L.A. campus of the New York School of Fine Arts studying Film Directing but is still touring all over the world in concerts. He is a force to be reckoned with.

Dimash Qudaibergen (di-MOSH Koo-dye-BEHR-gen) is a talented artist from Kazakhstan who began his formal training at the age of 5. He is professionally trained in opera, contemporary music, and musical theater. His diverse discography includes genres such as pop, R&B, EDM, rock, folk/traditional, neo-classical, opera, and even rap and hip-hop. Qudaibergen has performed songs in 15 languages and is fluent in Russian and Kazakh while also possessing some proficiency in English and Chinese. A multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter, producer, director, and actor, he owns a production company called Dimashali Creative Center. He is 28 years old, 6'3", and a consummate performer and he has a great love and respect for his fans whom he has named DEARS.
This song doesn't even touch the full ability of his range! This is just the song that we Dears (what he calls his fan base) use to introduce him to people. It's the performance that made him famous and has become his calling card. His range is currently 7+1 octaves with several semi and whistle tones, if I'm not mistaken. His highest note, to date, is a D8 whistle ("Unforgettable Day" live at Gakku). He has songs that cover nearly every music genre (maybe one closest to metal is "Durdaraz") except country western! I highly recommend checking out more, everything he does will surprise you in some way!
I'd definitely recommend Stranger or Olimpico as your next songs. Btw Dimash is Kazakh not Korean and it's hard to believe but he's gotten even better now.

I'd personally recommend the typical starter pack with him, then venture to his newer stuff. All his early stuff is diverse and shows completely different aspects of his singing. Sinful Passion is in Russian (SOS was French), then Olympico (Italian), followed by Opera 2. Then when you want to confirm he is an alien, hit up Contessa/Diva Dance which has the "impossible" song from The Fifth Element movie (OMG}. To hear him sing a D8, you can listen to unforgettable day Gaiku. Then for a more straight song sang beautifully Ikanaide (Japanese), One sky (his first video style self composed/directed) and Stranger. Enjoy the ride.

This took place back in 2017 in China, he was 22 years old. There’s a better version of this song. He’s at the Slavic Bazaar in Belarus. Dimash will be 29 this month and he sings even better, now. Some vocal coaches have said he is a natural baritone with a massive upper extension. He is from Kazakhstan, not Korea. This is a Chinese show he was on in 2017. Was 22 at the time, so young man here. He does have vocal training. Pretty much his whole life. I haven't heard him sing a metal song yet, but he can sing with distortion. And he's has sung almost every other genre. People call him a vocal god and alien, but he doesn't see himself that way.

Not to mention, thw desire to follow Dimash's travelling and performing all over the world. his diehard fans are known to travel to far places just to support him and hear him sing. SOS is the song that introduced Dimash to the world and opened many great opportunities and collaborations for him. There are a number of versions of Dimash singing this song, each different but all great. The song SOS comes from the famous 1978 Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania', which is well known in French-speaking countries, and is a pretty difficult song to sing. In 2017 Dimash received a wild card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant ever at 22 years old and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part in this competition. Although well-known and respected in his homeland Kazakhstan, few in China knew or heard about Dimash before, but with his first song, SOS, Dimash shocked the audience and captured the hearts of over 600 million of viewers overnight, and the rest is history as the saying goes.
The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. Thank you for discovering Dimash and welcome to a beautiful world of music. Dimash is a 28-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far). He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong. He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills. He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional. BTW the audience is also the jury. During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his habit at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰. I love this video because he still seemed so innocent. Just a boy and he didn't seem as serious as he sometimes is these days. He still looked carefree. I suggest in this order, Opera 2, Sinful Passion, Stranger, Olympico and Diva Dance, the one when he’s wearing a pink shirt… You should watch Diva Dance from the movie the fifth element as it’s sung by an alien and was composed so no human could sing it, especially a male… It’s 90 seconds of perfection. Dimash is a once in a generation singer. Trained since he was very young, still training now. This song is in french, he didn't speak it or understand it. But knows the songs history. He plays multiple instruments, (he is 22 here) can now sing in multiple languages, os Opera trained. Now has about 7 Octaves, is highly educated in music, doing his Doctorate now. Decided not to slot himself into one genre so he can do a few styles. Didn't go down the normal route for singers, i.e a Simon Cowell route. He is purely owned by himself. Very very humble guy, pedagogy's have classed him as the best. Perfect in every range. The "DEARS" is how Dimash named his fans, as it was they who did a lot of the work, getting his music out to people. Dimash is known across the world. The Western world, is now catching up. This is a song competition he was invited to be on, its usually only experienced known singers that are allowed, usually only known to the country, (thats change now, as Dimash was head and shoulders above the competitors, but came in 2nd, politics) Only one from that country is allowed to win. But the backlash was massive, so its now changed. The competition thought he would be out round two, but after this song, the viewing figs of the show hit 600 million over night. This is the beginning of Dimash music journey to the world. What he does, is not done anywhere else. This song is what pushed him to the front. Teachers / coaches/ music professionals / singers / students are in awe. Enjoy.
I’d definitely recommend Ogni Pietra (the video where the thumbnail pic is him surrounded by stars). I would say this is a great example of Dimash’s lower range and has a rock/opera feel. The low notes give me Rammstein vibes. One of my fave Dimash songs for sure! ❤

Dimash, who is from Kazakhstan, was the first foreigner to be invited. He was 22 at the time and the youngest among the competitors. He ended up in 2nd place very close to the winner but after his first performance "Sos" he got first place in the hearts of the Chinese people. I regularly watch the show with all Dimash's songs because all his performances is recorded live (no playback or autotune) and because I think it's fun to see how much he has developed both as a vocalist but also his pronunciation of foreign languages he sings in 14 languages, but apart from his mother tongue, he only speaks Russian fluently. However, he studies both English and Mandarin. Dimash sings effortlessly in all voice ranges, even a D8 he can perform. This makes him the most talented vocalist in the world. Because metal and opera have so much in common, (They both require massive amounts of power ) I suggest "El Amor En Ti ." It starts very operatic but develops a stronger and stronger beat until it is more metal than opera. So many of Dimash's songs are very powerful. A Kazakh song, "Samaltau" is one of my favorites. Ooh and don't forget "Love Is Like a Dream ", ...and all the rest. Dimash continually amazes me. The purity and control of his voice is amazing. Good reaction video.

Igor came out of retirement just to work with Dimash from what I have read. 2 of my favorites are Daididau in concert and Ikanaide in studio. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. The performance you just watched was a competition in China called I am singer. He sang SOS in French though that is not his language. This preformance was a few years back. He is 29 this month and recently got his doctorate in music. There is nothing this man sings that is not amazing. Check this out. In the song Unforgettable day, another song he wrote , he hit a D8. Dimash is the Michelangelo of music, painting every song with the most beautiful colours and textures. No one can touch him and this was his first major public performance. Amazingly he has gotten so much better. He can sing any type of music, rock, metal notes, pop, opera, jazz and can sing in I believe 14 languages and play multiple instruments. Dimash has been in training since he was 5 years old. He was the youngest ever in that prestigious school. He mixes genres within any song he is singing. He urgently has 7+ Octaves. My suggestion for you would be to watch Sinful Passion with English subtitles. At the end of that performance you will see a man in white shirt in front setting stand up applauding that man is Igor Krutoy. After seeing Dimash that night he decided to come out of retirement to work with Dimash, If you look up Igor Krutoy you will find he is a very famous writer of music, producer ect ect. He can sing in 15 languages todate. he just added Turkish and Armenian song to his collection of performance in foreign language just few weeks ago. He has a habit where he will sing a song from the country where he performed or as per his fans nationality (like the one in this vid, where he went to join a competition in china, he learns and sings chinese song). He even learns to play the country's traditional musical instrument too, as a sign of respect for the country he visits.

He speaks Kazakh & Russian fluently (as his country was taken to be part of Soviet Union & only gained independence in 1991). He is conversational in English now & getting better every day. This competition was in China. The contestants are all already famous stars in China- this season was the 1st producers allowed a non Chinese person to compete. He was brought in as a wildcard. He was unknown in China- although the crowd is excited in the beginning, they didn’t know him- he was just the 1st time wildcard & the 1st performance of the new season. The day after this performance aired- It had more than 600 MILLION views online & he needed bodyguards overnight. Lastly I will tell you- you have NO IDEA what he is capable of from this one song… let that sink in!!😂 Hope you go down the rabbit hole! Ok so it’s clear you’re blown away by his talent, but it doesn’t seem like the song quite fully grabbed you. So I’ll give you 4 suggestions that you might like better the song style (though you’ll soon discover that with Dimash that eventually all gets thrown out the window & you love any style he does).
💥Stranger- New Wave 2021 he premiered this song. So 4yrs after this SOS performance. It has an epic fantasy feel.
⚡️Olimpico- you can see him in his element at one of his full concerts. I’ll just say it should pump you up listening to it. Epic describes all of these btw

His highest note, to date, is a D8 whistle ("Unforgettable Day" live at Gakku). He has songs that cover nearly every music genre (maybe one closest to metal is "Durdaraz") except country western! I highly recommend checking out more, everything he does will surprise you in some way!

I'd personally recommend the typical starter pack with him, then venture to his newer stuff. All his early stuff is diverse and shows completely different aspects of his singing. Sinful Passion is in Russian (SOS was French), then Olympico (Italian), followed by Opera 2. Then when you want to confirm he is an alien, hit up Contessa/Diva Dance which has the "impossible" song from The Fifth Element movie (OMG}. To hear him sing a D8, you can listen to unforgettable day Gaiku. Then for a more straight song sang beautifully Ikanaide (Japanese), One sky (his first video style self composed/directed) and Stranger. Enjoy the ride.

Some vocal coaches have said he is a natural baritone with a massive upper extension. He is from Kazakhstan, not Korea. This is a Chinese show he was on in 2017. Was 22 at the time, so young man here. He does have vocal training. Pretty much his whole life. I haven't heard him sing a metal song yet, but he can sing with distortion. And he's has sung almost every other genre. People call him a vocal god and alien, but he doesn't see himself that way.

The third song would be in the tribal metal category, it mixes a classic metal style and instrumentation, with instrumentation typical of the Kazakhstani culture, it's called ''Durdaraz''.

Dimash is a 28-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 15 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.

Opera2 was the second performance of The Singer competition in 2017 in China. The song is in Russian. A language he also speaks fluently. The original was from the famous Russian singer named Vitas.
If you want to know a little more about Dimash, then I suggest you to watch the video where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. It was a big surprise for him as he saw his father.
I think it was very difficult for him at the beginning. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. Dimash, like many other Kazakhs, has the tradition of living under one roof with the whole family all together. He lives with his grandparents, parents, a sister, a brother an other relatives in the same house. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language, didn‘t know the traditions or livestyle in this country and up to that point he spoke (almost) no English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 20 so I can imagine…). And after that performance he saw his dad. So beautiful and emotional.
BTW the audience is also the jury.
During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his habit at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰.
I love this video because he still seemed so innocent. Just a boy and he didn't seem as serious as he sometimes is these days. He still looked carefree. I think what's happening today in the world worries him a lot.

Dimash is a once in a generation singer. Trained since he was very young, still training now. This song is in french, he didn't speak it or understand it. But knows the songs history. He plays multiple instruments, (he is 22 here) can now sing in multiple languages, os Opera trained. Now has about 7 Octaves, is highly educated in music, doing his Doctorate now. Decided not to slot himself into one genre so he can do a few styles. Didn't go down the normal route for singers, i.e a Simon Cowell route. He is purely owned by himself. Very very humble guy, pedagogy's have classed him as the best. Perfect in every range.
The "DEARS" is how Dimash named his fans, as it was they who did a lot of the work, getting his music out to people.
Dimash is known across the world. The Western world, is now catching up.
This is a song competition he was invited to be on, its usually only experienced known singers that are allowed, usually only known to the country, (thats change now, as Dimash was head and shoulders above the competitors, but came in 2nd, politics)
Only one from that country is allowed to win. But the backlash was massive, so its now changed. The competition thought he would be out round two, but after this song, the viewing figs of the show hit 600 million over night.
This is the beginning of Dimash music journey to the world. What he does, is not done anywhere else. This song is what pushed him to the front. Teachers / coaches/ music professionals / singers / students are in awe.

I’d definitely recommend Ogni Pietra (the video where the thumbnail pic is him surrounded by stars). I would say this is a great example of Dimash’s lower range and has a rock/opera feel. The low notes give me Rammstein vibes. One of my fave Dimash songs for sure! ❤

This performance is from 2017 when Dimash participated in the Chinese talent show "Singer" for professional Chinese singers. Dimash, who is from Kazakhstan, was the first foreigner to be invited. He was 22 at the time and the youngest among the competitors. He ended up in 2nd place very close to the winner but after his first performance "Sos" he got first place in the hearts of the Chinese people. I regularly watch the show with all Dimash's songs because all his performances is recorded live (no playback or autotune) and because I think it's fun to see how much he has developed both as a vocalist but also his pronunciation of foreign languages he sings in 14 languages, but apart from his mother tongue, he only speaks Russian fluently. However, he studies both English and Mandarin. Dimash sings effortlessly in all voice ranges, even a D8 he can perform. This makes him the most talented vocalist in the world. I am proud to be one of his devoted Dears.

Igor came out of retirement just to work with Dimash from what I have read. 2 of my favorites are Daididau in concert and Ikanaide in studio. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. The performance you just watched was a competition in China called I am singer. He sang SOS in French though that is not his language. This preformance was a few years back. He is 29 this month and recently got his doctorate in music. There is nothing this man sings that is not amazing. Check this out. In the song Unforgettable day, another song he wrote , he hit a D8. Dimash has been in training since he was 5 years old. He was the youngest ever in that prestigious school. He mixes genres within any song he is singing. He urgently has 7+ Octaves. My suggestion for you would be to watch Sinful Passion with English subtitles. At the end of that performance you will see a man in white shirt in front setting stand up applauding that man is Igor Krutoy. After seeing Dimash that night he decided to come out of retirement to work with Dimash, If you look up Igor Krutoy you will find he is a very famous writer of music, producer ect ect. In future videos you will see Igor Krutoy playing the piano while Dimash sings. At that point you will know he had much to do with the song Dimash is singing. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. This is a song from the French rock opera "Starmania", which he performed in a Chinese show in 2017. He was the first foreigner to be invited to "The Singer 2017", and the youngest in the history of the competition. The other singers were 12-39 yrs. his senior and were all established performers. Whatever song you choose to listen to next will not be a disappointment, but, let me suggest "The Show Must Go On." Brian May commented that Freddie Mercury would have been proud of Dimashs' performance. Also, Dimash only spoke Kazak and Russian when he came to that show. His first three songs were in French, Russian, English, and Mandarin. He was invited as a dark horse for the competition, but, came in second place. He should have won, but I think they had to save face with him being the youngest, least experienced, and the first foreigner on their show. The day after this, his first performance, they had to provide security guards for him and he had over 6 million followers on Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Instagram. That's how it all started: In 2017 Dimash received a wildcard for the “The Singer” competition in China. He was the youngest participant ever (22 years old). Foreign participants were actually forbidden at that time. The director ignored the ban, believing Dimash would only stay 1 or 2 episodes and then go home.
The competition is not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day bodyguards were at his door and now he is a superstar but without airs... just our Dimash.
The competition consisted of 14 rounds over 4 months. The jury consisted of 500 spectators who knew music, not just your average "Joe". They were well screened to be sure they would be able to judge the musicians fairly and competently. With up to 1 billion people watching this TV program and international interest was aroused. The performances were uploaded to TH-cam ... and so we became Dimash's Dears.
The Chinese organizers planned... but Dimash came, sang and stayed ... for the next 3 years in China ... but he only finished second in the competition because he is not Chinese (conditions have changed: 2018, Jessie J. Won).

He can sing in 15 languages todate. he just added Turkish and Armenian song to his collection of performance in foreign language just few weeks ago. He has a habit where he will sing a song from the country where he performed or as per his fans nationality (like the one in this vid, where he went to join a competition in china, he learns and sings chinese song). He even learns to play the country's traditional musical instrument too, as a sign of respect for the country he visits.

One thing to know this was 2017 he was 22 not only the youngest to compete but also not Chinese. Dimash is quite impressive with a 7 octave range. He is also able to hit the bass notes this fact is shared with 4 other men. BTW love the reaction can hear you are genuine in your reaction.
