Many are saying it's about 7.5 octaves now. His lower range is extending to really powerful depths. He was born to it. He was the youngest student, age 5, at his prestigious music school. He was finishing a Master's Degree at this time, age 21. Now he's 30 and working on a PhD as well as seeming to be everywhere in the world at once. Believe it or not, 7 1/2 years on, he is even better today! His lower registers are to die for, being older (now 30) he can sing even deeper! His range was 6 octaves then, now it’s well over 7! He still practices for at least 3-4 hours every day, mostly with a vocal coach. Every register, is just beautiful! He’s also an amazing composer and a multi-instrumentalist. His music videos are incredible too and he’s a great actor!
Dimash was 22 yrs old at The Singer competition for professional singers in China in 2017. Dimash just turned 30 yrs old and had a giant birthday concert in Istanbul Turkey on May 24th to 40,000 of his fans who flew in from 68 countries from all over the world to attend his concert. Dimash is a magnificent vocalist, and stellar performer. I have never seen anyone with more control over their voice. About his range, I seem to remember it's around 7 octaves, so a good bit more than exhibited here.

When I saw this song for the first time I had chills, electricity in all my limbs and trembling inside. It was simply unbelievable - I'd never heard anything like it in my life - he squeezed my heart and changed my life. I was up half the night binge watching the rest of the competition. Since then I've listened to every song he's done. He's a beautiful man inside and out. I think you need to get to know him better. Wow!! His ability to transition between the high and low registers is breath taking!! I just looked it up and he has an almost 7 octive range. OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!! The average voice has a 3.3 octive (around 40 notes) range.
I know it sounds unbelievable, but he gets better and better all the time. 😊 Even though he sounded perfect back then (especially compared to other singers), he keeps expanding his range, adding genres and techniques and surpassing himself. It is so fun watching people discover Dimash, it could be a hobby all by itself. 😀There are so many performances to choose from Sinful Passion I would choose next or even Opera 2 that he also performed in 2017 during the same singing competition show as SOS, his cover of Ikanaide or even Olympico. Last I would explore what I think is his magnum opus, certainly so far The Story of One Sky. Generally, Dimash is flawless. His vocal range is super impressively over 7.5 octaves, but he will not talk about it. As impressive as this performance is, he out does this over and over.

Yes, it was a very clean performance. He has a lot of very clean live performances. This performance was THE pivotal moment in his career and he knew it. Did you see that little half smile for half a second right during the brief pause right at the end? That was relief because he got through all the difficult parts cleanly and the audience was silent, following him closely, which meant he had them hooked. That's the only time I've seen him break character. He was previously unknown in China but needed bodyguards the next day. Everything changed with that one performance.
yes, that smile is very cute... actually, if you look closely he smiles to himself 4 times during the whole performance - maybe either because he succeded with a difficult part or because he anticipated the audience reaction within the next seconds... but I don't think he broke character here, on the contrary: Not only did he forget parts of the lyrics and got some lines mixed up, too, he stayed remarkably calm and covered it up with a perfectly improvised raised-arm-gesture, until he could join in seamlessly with the band again. Such a perfect pro!! 👌👏 The stage really IS his home turf.

Some of his lowest notes can be seen in Ogni Pietra. He hits a D8 in Unforgetable Day at Gaku. This performance was one of his earliest performances I'm aware of. I recall reading he has a seven octive vocal range - so wow right. But his transitions between registers are crazy great. He has perfect absolute pitch and amazing technique. His high notes in this song were around an F6 - so a bit below his whistle notes. His high notes are simply freaky - he can sing right off the piano top notes when he really goes high. His fast notes changes - like in Diva dance are frankly jaw dropping. Even in this song - by the thrid versus - 20 or so seconds in - he sings the note B is three different octives with seemless transitions. Dimash is beyond a prodigy - a once in a lifetime voice...

Dimash was only 21 at the time of this show. He's 30 now, and you're not alone in thinking he couldn't get any better, but he did, and he still does. I’ve been listening to Dimash since 2016. His voice is otherworldly for sure! I think of his voice as a toolbox that her bought in Diagon Alley, and it is his super power! On the outside, it looks ordinary, but inside, it has row upon row, and shelves reaching to the highest ceilings where he can choose from a range that extends past the range (both high and low) of a piano. He can choose between at least 4-5 different styles within one song. Plus he can sing any genre of music that there is. Many consider Dimash Kudaibergen (KOO-DIE-BEAR-GAN) the best vocalist on the planet. For me he is king with Angelina Jordan being queen and Aurora and Diana Ankudinova being princess'. They are the 4 horseman of vocals.

This Chinese programme is unlike the Voice; it’s a contest for invited, already successful, award-winning and well-known professional singers …. Dimash was invited as a ‘wild-card’ entry, not expected to last more than a couple of episodes, as he was unknown in China at that time. (That soon changed after this performance!)
Not only somebody 😂... All of them had to sing after Dimash! He was the first artist on the first and second episode! So all other competitors came after him! And you could see their fear! He became first on those days 😊 as well. They thought he would only last a few episodes, for the youngest contestant ever a newcomer and not well known in China he got their hearts over night and honestly should have won it!

Dimash just turned 30 yrs old and had a giant birthday concert in Istanbul Turkey on May 24th to 40,000 of his fans who flew in from 68 countries from all over the world to attend his concert. When I saw this song for the first time I had chills, electricity in all my limbs and trembling inside. It is so fun watching people discover Dimash, it could be a hobby all by itself. 😀There are so many performances to choose from Sinful Passion I would choose next or even Opera 2 that he also performed in 2017 during the same singing competition show as SOS, his cover of Ikanaide or even Olympico. Last I would explore what I think is his magnum opus, certainly so far The Story of One Sky. You will need tissues, a fluffy blanket, quite possibly a emotional support stuffed animal, and a cup of tea for that one.

Yes, it was a very clean performance. He has a lot of very clean live performances.
This performance was THE pivotal moment in his career and he knew it. Did you see that little half smile for half a second right during the brief pause right at the end? That was relief because he got through all the difficult parts cleanly and the audience was silent, following him closely, which meant he had them hooked. That's the only time I've seen him break character. He was previously unknown in China but needed bodyguards the next day. Everything changed with that one performance.

yes, that smile is very cute... actually, if you look closely he smiles to himself 4 times during the whole performance - maybe either because he succeded with a difficult part or because he anticipated the audience reaction within the next seconds... but I don't think he broke character here, on the contrary: Not only did he forget parts of the lyrics and got some lines mixed up, too, he stayed remarkably calm and covered it up with a perfectly improvised raised-arm-gesture, until he could join in seamlessly with the band again. Such a perfect pro!! 👌👏 The stage really IS his home turf.

I recall reading he has a seven octive vocal range - so wow right. But his transitions between registers are crazy great. He has perfect absolute pitch and amazing technique. His high notes in this song were around an F6 - so a bit below his whistle notes. His high notes are simply freaky - he can sing right off the piano top notes when he really goes high. His fast notes changes - like in Diva dance are frankly jaw dropping. Even in this song - by the thrid versus - 20 or so seconds in - he sings the note B is three different octives with seemless transitions.

I’ve been listening to Dimash since 2016. His voice is otherworldly for sure! I think of his voice as a toolbox that her bought in Diagon Alley, and it is his super power! On the outside, it looks ordinary, but inside, it has row upon row, and shelves reaching to the highest ceilings where he can choose from a range that extends past the range (both high and low) of a piano. He can choose between at least 4-5 different styles within one song. Plus he can sing any genre of music that there is. Many consider Dimash Kudaibergen (KOO-DIE-BEAR-GAN) the best vocalist on the planet. For me he is king with Angelina Jordan being queen and Aurora and Diana Ankudinova being princess'. They are the 4 horseman of vocals.

I consider the question whether he has 6 or 7 or more octaves range totally insignificant compared to the incredible emotion he makes me feel, including in songs where he sings just in his mid range.

His range gives him the ability to choose any note that fits the song, without strain. So he can focus on the emotion. So for me it’s maybe not as important as his other skills. But still worth mentioning. 😊❤️
This Chinese programme is unlike the Voice; it’s a contest for invited, already successful, award-winning and well-known professional singers ….
Dimash was invited as a ‘wild-card’ entry, not expected to last more than a couple of episodes, as he was unknown in China at that time. (That soon changed after this performance!)
He became an instant star in China after just this performance. Bodyguards had to be arranged for him to continue for the coming eps of the show.

Not only somebody 😂... All of them had to sing after Dimash! He was the first artist on the first and second episode! So all other competitors came after him! And you could see their fear! He became first on those days 😊 as well.
They thought he would only last a few episodes, for the youngest contestant ever a newcomer and not well known in China he got their hearts over night and honestly should have won it!
