SOS is Dimash’s sign song. He sang it for the first time in 2017 during the singer competition when he was only 22. Dimash said that was his first time ever performing on what he calls “the adult stage”. He will be 29 in May 2023, has trained everyday since age 3, learned language he has never spoken and his English has improved significantly. He has his Doctorate degree now and working with a Film director in America. He’s always worried about his accent. I have followed him for years. During his recent Almaty Concert which sold out 35,000 seats please see Part 3 of that concert to watch him sing The Story of One Sky. 2021 he does a concert and sings SOS. This is a competition show in Belarus, that Dimash won in 2015, he’s back here as a guest in 2018 and he’s thanking the competition for putting him well on the way to worldwide success. In 2017 he went to the I Am Singer show and became a superstar in China. His first performance on that show for well known professional singers (they are invited to perform) was downloaded 600 million times. His first album went platinum in just 30 minutes and by the end of the day, it was Platinum 3 times over. In 2021 he came back to Slavic Bazaar as one of the judges. He sang a few songs as a guest and after his first performance he received about a 100 bouquets of flowers! All who gave him flowers came up on the stage to give them to him personally, it was never ending! All those guest performances in 2021 at this competition show were amazing! All the flowers, are donated by Dimash to hospitals and nursing homes.

Dimash is in LA, and he recently had a meeting with David Foster. We think his push into the American music world will be soon. It was originally planned 3 years ago, but the pandemic put a stop to it until now.
The problem is that you still see Dimash as "just a singer", when in fact he has become a human musical instrument. He has been studying since he was 5 years old. He has a PHD in Musicology. He practices at least 3 hours a day. He works out in a pool to expand his breathing. The end result is a Mozart or Vincent Van Go, perfection that was born in him. If you watch any of the videos with him backstage you will see he NEVER sits still. He's either humming, dancing, singing, breathing music. His soul is completely entranced. I don't know much about the inside of music, but how much more can he learn how to do? There isn't anything he can't do now is there?

A. He has a physical advantage in that he has longer than average vocal cords. B. He has been training that voice for 23 years at a full time music school C. He still works with vocal coaches and practices for at least 3 hours every day, up to 10 hours if he's working on something. He lives and breathes music, his parents are singers and all his friends and family are musicians. He knows exactly how his body works and what he needs to do to get the best from it. He explained the practical mechanics of singing in an interview once and compared it to mathematics or sport.

He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He has his own company „DimashAli Creative Center“ and is managed by his father Kanat. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how. I was brought up listening to classical music and opera but in my humble opinion Dimash is on another level way above what i listened to before. This is the best music journey i have ever taken and I'm proud to say I Am A Dimash Dear (His Fan Name) as he said he calls us Dears as we are as dear to him as his family
Dimash sings SOS live all the time. It's always flawless and he varies it each time. I don't think I've heard him sing it the exact same way. Sometimes similar but still with variations. The Dimash version of the song is now his calling card. Check out the SOS 2021 version from his Dimash Digital Show online concert during quarantine. Another beautiful rendition.

Dimash wanted to go to music and singing school at the age of 5 and he won his 1st piano prize at 6 years old. Before his voice changed, he was often on the side of the girls in the choir and then when he changed, he managed to keep his soprano voice. But since childhood, Dimash sings and he even composed at night when his parents thought he was sleeping. And in the morning, it was hard for him lol! Her parents sing in duets, they are professional singers and her mother is a soprano. He doesn't show anything in front of us, everything seems easy, but it's a huge job behind his talent. You’ll get used to Dimash blowing your mind, every performance, I’ve been a Dear for 5 years now and he still blows my mind. You should maybe react to sinful passion next. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione. SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. You’ll see a lot of superlatives about Dimash in the comments, not surprisingly. I can’t say he’s the best in the world, since I haven’t heard every other singer in the world. But I have heard a LOT of spectacular singers, and nobody I’ve heard comes close to Dimash. His technique is insane, and yeah, he already has this unearthly native talent-perfect pitch, range, etc. For all the negative stuff that came out of the pandemic, this one of the gifts-we all spent time on TH-cam and heard this singer from the other side of the planet-we probably never would have heard him had we not been shut in with so much time on our hands. I count myself lucky in this sense.

This is a competition show in Belarus, that Dimash won in 2015, he’s back here as a guest in 2018 and he’s thanking the competition for putting him well on the way to worldwide success. In 2017 he went to the I Am Singer show and became a superstar in China. His first performance on that show for well known professional singers (they are invited to perform) was downloaded 600 million times. His first album went platinum in just 30 minutes and by the end of the day, it was Platinum 3 times over. In 2021 he came back to Slavic Bazaar as one of the judges. He sang a few songs as a guest and after his first performance he received about a 100 bouquets of flowers! All who gave him flowers came up on the stage to give them to him personally, it was never ending! All those guest performances in 2021 at this competition show were amazing! All the flowers, are donated by Dimash to hospitals and nursing homes.

The problem is that you still see Dimash as "just a singer", when in fact he has become a human musical instrument. He has been studying since he was 5 years old. He has a PHD in Musicology. He practices at least 3 hours a day. He works out in a pool to expand his breathing. The end result is a Mozart or Vincent Van Go, perfection that was born in him. If you watch any of the videos with him backstage you will see he NEVER sits still. He's either humming, dancing, singing, breathing music. His soul is completely entranced. I don't know much about the inside of music, but how much more can he learn how to do? There isn't anything he can't do now is there?

B. He has been training that voice for 23 years at a full time music school
C. He still works with vocal coaches and practices for at least 3 hours every day, up to 10 hours if he's working on something.

This brought him some more visibility in the region, so in his speech, Dimash said that Slaviansky Bazaar was an important moment and kind of a beginning of his career, and he thanked the audience for that. (and among them there were some of the first fans he ever had, sticking with him since 2015). Since 2015, he was invited in subsequent years as a guest performer, and several times he said that Slaviansky Bazaar is a special place for him, because it was kind of a starting point. He got massive worldwide fanbase after The Singer chinese competition in 2017, but his first fans were the ones who loved him since 2015 Grand Prix at Slaviansky Bazaar.

The Chinese singer competition - The Singer- , is another situation where he was invited go take part. And is the show that brought him to the attention of the world. The audience in that competion were the judges, as they were all involved in music in some way, and it was they who decided who would go thru to next round or not. He came 2ns, because at that time foreigners cud not win. The following year, they changed that rule.👌🏻

I was brought up listening to classical music and opera but in my humble opinion Dimash is on another level way above what i listened to before. Dimash sings SOS live all the time. It's always flawless and he varies it each time. I don't think I've heard him sing it the exact same way. Sometimes similar but still with variations. The Dimash version of the song is now his calling card. Check out the SOS 2021 version from his Dimash Digital Show online concert during quarantine. Another beautiful rendition.

I prefer the 2017 version on Singer because of the warm interaction of the audience, because it was my first time hearing him, and because it was the performance that made him an overnight star. He was just 22 then. Now that's his signature song.
I read that he taught himself how to sing in all those octaves while he was growing up. Isn’t he just amazing.
Dimash wanted to go to music and singing school at the age of 5 and he won his 1st piano prize at 6 years old. Before his voice changed, he was often on the side of the girls in the choir and then when he changed, he managed to keep his soprano voice. But since childhood, Dimash sings and he even composed at night when his parents thought he was sleeping. And in the morning, it was hard for him lol! Her parents sing in duets, they are professional singers and her mother is a soprano. He doesn't show anything in front of us, everything seems easy, but it's a huge job behind his talent. He thinks his talent was given to him by God and therefore he must earn it. At the end, he says that he thanks everyone and invites them all to come to Kazakhstan. At that time, he did not yet speak English

All those flowers that Dimash receives after every performance, are taken to old folks homes or hospitals by Dimash and personally Dimash hands them out to the patients. You’ll get used to Dimash blowing your mind, every performance, I’ve been a Dear for 5 years now and he still blows my mind. You should maybe react to sinful passion next. SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating.
This song and this performance is my absolute favourite🥰. I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I have gasping breath all the time. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. You’ll see a lot of superlatives about Dimash in the comments, not surprisingly. I can’t say he’s the best in the world, since I haven’t heard every other singer in the world. But I have heard a LOT of spectacular singers, and nobody I’ve heard comes close to Dimash. His technique is insane, and yeah, he already has this unearthly native talent-perfect pitch, range, etc. For all the negative stuff that came out of the pandemic, this one of the gifts-we all spent time on TH-cam and heard this singer from the other side of the planet-we probably never would have heard him had we not been shut in with so much time on our hands. I count myself lucky in this sense.
