hi everyone ,if anyone else wants to uncover what it is acid reflux try Reflux Recovery Tactics ( reflux.RecoveryTactics.com ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my mate got cool success with it.
One thing that I found out was making my baby vomit was mixing breastmilk with formula in one feeding. The nurses at the hospital told me to top up my baby on formula and the pediatrician later told me to do the same, but this caused him to vomit every time and he wasn't gaining weight like he should have been. I found a new pediatrician and he told me breastmilk and formula don't mix and to either give one or the other at one feeding. I followed his instructions, was able to get my milk supply up and eventually ditched the bottle all together. -No more vomiting and his growth evened out.
This makes so much sense! I’m not producing a lot of milk so I always have my baby latching to stimulate milk production and after that I feed her formula. Been having rough days with her and realized she’s having reflux
@@DustyBanditRepellantsame! My wife and I just started mixing and instant vomit from our daughter. We'll stop and see if she improves. Catarina Machado my baby used to scream in between breasts too because she just wanted to eat but I still proceeded to burp so she could relieve that gas. Best of luck to you!!
That’s my issue too up until now. My girl is 5 weeks old but she’s gotten better. My theories are: 1. She has reflux which I have to really take her off the boob or raise her head when feeding to pace her. 2. My supply is too much so I’m engorged and firm and it’s hard for her to latch. I have to Hakka it or use a pump. 3. She has to really calm down and I have to take deep breaths (literally). When I am stressed, she is stressed out 4. I have to sit her up for a minute before I start to burp. 5. I run her from lower back up, firmly but gently to bring air up. 6. TH-cam baby language about the sound they make so you know what their issue is. The one that has Oprah in it. It sounds very overused but it will get better. You are doing great all around!
Very informative video, thank you very much. However, I noticed you consistently refer to mums being worried about their baby's reflux. I get your audience might be mainly mums but you might consider the possibility that there are dads on here as well. Not a massive issue, but it isn't exactly encouraging for dads that are just as involved with their baby. Otherwise, keep up the good work!
Does food sensitivities really can cause a baby to spit up? I thought it could cause skin reactions and maybe constipation. Does it really cause spitting up too?
Bonita Jobson hello, for me...the culprit ended up not being my diet, although it is the culprit for many! But our doctor had told us it takes about 2 weeks for the diary/soy to finally get rid of your body. I gave it about a month. I saw little improvement but overall a lot of spit up despite my best efforts to prevent it. She ended up having to go on an acid reflux medication until she started to grow out of it around 9 months or so.
This video was so helpful thank you ❤️ my 6 week old baby is really suffering at the minute and has anti acids on prescription. I’ve found that when I burp her frequently every ounce or so sometimes the movement of bringing her up onto my shoulder will make her bring up milk. Is there anything else I can do to prevent this? @@valeriiavyshnevska8488 it was something she has thankfully started to grow out of! I sit her up to burp her, never put her on my shoulder. I dropped the anti acids because they made her really constipated. Normal infant formula, I just stuck it out! Xx

@@anam.aria. thank you for checking in 🥰 I hadn’t seen the comment. I can't seem to find anything information about a formula-fed baby (I couldn't breastfeed) who is not necessarily spitting up but has reflux and screams, legs stiffens, she pulls away from bottle, but then really wants it again only to pull away again. baby coughs and sometimes sounds like gagging and lots of hiccups. Baby cries after feedings. and sleeps only 10 hours in a 24 hour period due to crying. We changed formula four times. Pediatrician recommended a hypoallergenic formula in case of milk allergen...didn't work and now she is on Pepcid and her sleep is better but feedings are worst. Hardly any spit up but they think she has reflux. I'm so desperate because she really looks like she's in pain, hungry and so tired!!!!! and no one seems to know what's wrong with her and I can't seem to find anyone experiencing the same thing I am with the feeding.
My baby is breastfeeding and never spits up but the behavior you describe while eating is the same. It is inconsistent though, sometimes she is uncomfortable and struggling for only 1 feed a day and other times every feed. She also struggles to burp and even though I burp her during the feed and after, she only burps about 50% of the time. Hoping to find a solution but my lactation consultant said the latch was good, and she didn’t think it was reflux.
@@caitlyns9587 what did you do about this because this is happening to me. Did it get better with time and the wind and gas issues stop after 3 months?
@@zakiyyavally864 This is what helped at the time. Look for alternate methods of burping or videos of “burping for babies with reflux”. For us holding her over our shoulder on a diagonal with her legs in a squat and just hold, no patting on the back. While breastfeeding I would also keep her head slightly higher than her stomach. Take deep breaths while feeding (they will pick up on your stress). If they are really fussing and arching a lot, take several breaks while feeding to try and burp or keep them upright. Keeping her upright for 15 mins after feeding helped a lot. Finally I did end up cutting out dairy, for me it was causing me stress every time she feed so it was well worth giving it up for a few weeks to see if the dairy made a difference. Now she is 5 months and she is much better at burping on her own, almost right away after feeding when we sit her up she will burp on her own, this has helped a lot and we rarely have the same feeding issues. I still avoid dairy, I notice if I do have dairy she might still have 1 feed a day where she is crying or appears uncomfortable so I’m still unclear if she’s allergic or if the dairy just causes her to have more gas or reflux.
Spit up sucks that was my least favorite part of breast feeding. My little guy was premature and spat up a lot. I gave him a pacifier after feeding and propped him up a bit for a few minutes after feeding before burping him. He kept in more milk down when I did that. If I went straight for the burping he would just spit.

Thank u so much for ur videos. I watched u all the way up to my delivery on feb 28, 2020. Still am bk for this topic ❤.
Our baby is 20 days apart though my son was due 2/24/2020 he came on 2/8/2020
What do you do when pauzing to burp every 2-3 minutes with breastfeeding makes them irritated en cry?
Exactly! Everyone say to burp them every 1 oz (mine eats 3 oz) but when I take out the bottle(formula&breast milk)he starts screaming!so I'm have to give it back without the him burping!!sooo hard to do that in between .
God... Thank you.. i cant make him burp tho.. if o interrupt the feeding he starts to cry screaming and cant grab my nipplr again.. im doing everything you Said i dunno what to do anymore.. and any the end of the feeding sometines he doesnt burp
i'm living exactly the same thing... He's 5 months.
Catarina Machado my baby used to scream in between breasts too because she just wanted to eat but I still proceeded to burp so she could relieve that gas. Best of luck to you!!
That’s my issue too up until now. My girl is 5 weeks old but she’s gotten better. My theories are:
When I am stressed, she is stressed out
4. I have to sit her up for a minute before I start to burp.
5. I run her from lower back up, firmly but gently to bring air up.
6. TH-cam baby language about the sound they make so you know what their issue is. The one that has Oprah in it.
It sounds very overused but it will get better. You are doing great all around!
very helpful videos. we were freaking out cuz we didn't know what was going on.
You are an excellent educator.
This is an amazing and comprehensive video!
Love your content great stuff and your voice is soothing and easy to understand thanks for the advice ♥️
What do you think about wellements probiotics ?
Very helpful thank you
The lighting and ambiance in your videos is everything ❤
Does food sensitivities really can cause a baby to spit up? I thought it could cause skin reactions and maybe constipation. Does it really cause spitting up too?
The Productive Mommy it most definitely can. A big culprit is dairy and soy. I cut that out my diet for several weeks 😊
Healthy Wealthy Mother how long from cutting the food out of your diet until the spitting up improves please?
I feed her in an upright position x
This is a picture of what is going on with my baby! Please share with me what you did🙏
@@valeriiavyshnevska8488 it was something she has thankfully started to grow out of! I sit her up to burp her, never put her on my shoulder. I dropped the anti acids because they made her really constipated. Normal infant formula, I just stuck it out! Xx
@@valeriiavyshnevska8488 thanks
@@hanlj1440 hi I know this is an old post but how long did it take to get better ..im currently going through this😢he's 2 months! Sooooo hard!
Burping every 2-3 minutes?? Kidding me? Nursing will last hours..
Plus my baby will be SCREAMING HER HEAD OFF
If its best for baby then that doesn't matter. Baby comes before convenience
Madam plz tell the allergens for babies i couldn't understand what you are saying....

I love all of your videos so so much! Thank you so much for your knowledge 💗
I have a son name is Jonathan Israel and also my son gets acid reflux when I was feeding my son when I went to the clinic attorney doctor about it and I should and I said no it's not
Love your voice, pace, information, and energy 😍
Hi Bridget, my pediatrician prescribed Nexium to my 5 week old for reflux. I dont feel comfortable giving it because I am very anti medicine but since I am a 1st time mommy i thought it would be best. What is your opinion on this? Thank you so much! :)
Listen to your intuition. Mums know better than doctors 😉
@@JJJakubiec very well said, med can b a short term solution but in the long run it worsens everything had to deal with its side effects with my first son…. By god’s grace I could gather info regarding the same n take decision on my own
Very helpful!!
People please tell me which formula brand are you giving for your baby?
Currently breastfeeding, but I'm going to have a "formula" option on hand just in case. Search here on youtube "rain country homestead formula"
Started with Kendamill infant Goat but lot of spit up and diarrhea. Pediatrician thought milk allergy so switched to Similac Alimentum. Still spitting up, uncomfortable at night, lots of gas. Poop got better but still green and sometimes loose….thoughts?!????
My baby started the reflux when she’s a month old. She was okay.. now I’m even scared to feed her😢
I really needed this information 😇😇🥰
My baby spitsup frequently almost after every feed, sometimes wet burp, sometimes after 2 hours of feeding, these all frightens me. Is it a GERD or normal, she shows discomfort after feeding. Please can I have an answer.
Same with my baby
How’d she make out?
My baby is 3 months she is exclusively breastfeeding her pediatrician recommended adding rice cereal to her diet to reduce spit up. Does anyone have any comments on introducing rice cereal at 3 months?
Hey
How did it go? Found an answer to this?
My mom did a light trace in her milk.
I personally have done this nd it helps a lot
Weights the stomach down
Should a mother avoid buffalo milk as part of elimination diet if the breast feeding baby has grade 1-2 reflux?
Expecting my first at the end of the month! Your videos and meditations have been wonderful! Especially since all our birth classes were canceled!
Amazing advice! Thanks 🥰🙏🏽
I'm always around my daughter 24/7.. even if I have to do something I must check on her like after every 30 second.. it's hell!!! I have never experienced such!!! I wonder if it's something demonic!! God have mercy on my daughter.. Amen 🙏
I think my baby has this too. She always spits her milk after feeding, almost all the milk i fed her will go out. We went to the pedia and she was prescribed with(erythromycin). Is this good for a 4month old baby? Answer me pleaseee..
My baby does not cry but he spits a lot now he is using anti reflux milk
My baby spewing everywhere. I think it's broken - how do I get a refund???
Thank you so much ❤❤❤
Can you please send the link for the gripe water?
Don't do gripe water, babies asphyxiate on it, especially very young babies
Dads also have babies with reflux. Just saying :)
My baby is 26 days old but from last two days she is having reflux and a little choking and constantly crying at night .
Any help??
Great video Tyler
Hi Bridget, thank you for the video! I've watched you birthing videos and it really helped my natural birth 5 months ago
Hi Clarisse, how have things gone? We're you able to get this fixed for your baby?
Maybe have baby checked for a tongue or liptye. My baby was a "lazy feeder" and it turned out a liptye was getting in the way and exhausting him to nurse.
@@anam.aria. thank you for checking in 🥰 I hadn’t seen the comment. We tried a lot more things, he had a tongue tie, which was cut and We’ve been through the whole massage process for six weeks after that. I managed to breastfeed him for 10 months but it was harder and harder everyday, the last two months, I was pumping to give it to him because he didn’t want the boob anymore. Still feels like a bit of a failure but I’ve honestly tried everything 😢
@@bt464 hey thank you! It was a long time ago. Actually I was sure he had a tongue tie right from the beginning! But it was right at the very beginning of Covid and first harsh restrictions, I couldn’t get an appointment for cutting the tongue tie before he was five months old… after that, I didn’t see a lot of improvement but he started eating solids and gained weight. He loved to eat absolutely everything if it was not the breast!!! I managed to breastfeed him until he was 10 months but it was really hard and still feel like I’ve failed somehow 😢
@@Clarisse_soulspell You didn't fail at all, you've done so well! It's so hard sometimes, isn't it? Every drop of milk counts and helps, and 10 months means so much hard work, it's a labor of love for sure ❤️
Your videos are so helpful thank you so much
I can't seem to find anything information about a formula-fed baby (I couldn't breastfeed) who is not necessarily spitting up but has reflux and screams, legs stiffens, she pulls away from bottle, but then really wants it again only to pull away again. baby coughs and sometimes sounds like gagging and lots of hiccups.
I'm breastfeeding my baby and she has the same. How is your baby now?
Going through the exact same thing! Let us know if you found anything that helped! 😭
Do I burp my baby when he's having reflux attack? I dont know what to do.
Yes, always burp with feeding. Also try a pacifier as it helps them swallow which can help push down the reflux.
Kinda frustrating that all the videos like this always talk directly to "momma". Dad's watch these too.
Dads are here too
I have twins born micro preemies they both have acid reflux at 3 months
