      My goodness so amazing to come across this. My second daughter who I'd now 8 years old had silent reflux. From around 6 weeks old every afternoon from around 4pm she would scream in pain till 11pm when the exhaustion overtook her. Was so heartbreaking. She actually started to associate feeding with pain, which everyone thought I was crazy, at such a young age. I remember being at the doctor and his recommendation was "maybe she's hungry" I burst into to tears, of course she is but it is hurting her. It got to the point I had to exclusively express and bottle feed just as she was falling asleep, not too deeply asleep just in between. I avoided traveling in the car, because laying on her back in car seat would set her off screaming in pain 🥺. At 4 months to the day against recommendations I trialed solids and she was a different child. Apologies for the long story, is just so empowering to come across information finally. Was a truly challenging time.

    Currently suspecting reflux in my 3 week old baby.Its been relentless cry screaming every waking moment and after feeding, refusing to be put down to sleep, arching back and being so unsettled. Am at wits end, the ENT did a scope and saw some irritation of the throat from acid, so started a medication to reduce acid but its been 4 days and no sign of improvement yet.
    Please tell me it gets better.

    Amazing work! You did so much. I suspect my baby has silent reflux because she always arches her back, coughs a little bit, and we need to bounce her on a ball for hours to get the gas out. The difference though is that she doesn’t like standing upright, unless if she’s being bounced or in the carrier. She prefers to be lying down.

    Hi! Thanks for your video, I’m trying to help my wife.
    My son is being a really fussy feeder. He squirms and arches in the cradle position and only feeds for very short periods. This leads to snacking.
    I often can hear him with a small cough throughout the day and he gets hiccups often. He loves tummy time but does get frustrated after a little while. He can self settle after about 15 mins but the nights are one good block and then every hour afterwards. We are just exploring the idea that it could be silent reflux. My partner has been sleep deprived for 5 months now. We recently started a bottle in the bouncer and he seems to like that and feeds for much longer periods.
    Some similarities with your story. What are your thoughts?

      @ hey Cindy, just keep going. I know it’s a pain! Try hovering over him, any position that works just do it. My boy is feeding well now. From memory through that period we introduced bottles, which were again hit and miss.

    Did starting solids help ?

      100% I cannot tell you how different he was after solids. Everything settled in the stomach better and it was easier to monitor reactions to food

    Did you cancel the dairy free diet while treatment?

    • @myparentingway7996
      @myparentingway7996  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, I remained dairy free until we were able to test the dairy element using solids - it was easier to see the reaction quickly
