  • An overnight bikepacking adventure to Mt Fainter North.
To test my new Sea To Summit sleeping bag Alpine 3.
Steep hills and nice scenery, mist, and clouds for the most part.
    On my Fat bike.

Thanks. As soon as a bit more waterproof clothing arrives. I'll be out.

Really nice to see and hear you again, Chris! 😊👍 So it's your turn to cycle in snowy conditions! We're in the middle of our summer here in Sweden, but it doesn't feel like very long ago it was the opposite! Stay warm and safe out there, Chris! Thank you so much for this beautiful video! 🌹Warm greets from me and Eva!

Thanks, Henriki. I've been out for the last 7 days , so get back to the car tomorrow. It's been a tough adventure this one. Had my pack rack break today. Did some repairs with zip ties and tape. Still holding together. Got very wet all of Tuesday. Which made for an unpleasant day. Only 40km tomorrow. On sealed roads, so should be easy. Hope you're enjoying the warmth of summer. Take care, Cheers Chris.

I recently found your channel and I'm really enjoying your content. I would like to know your thoughts on your front suspension fork.

Thanks. The Lauf forks. Very expensive. Carbon fibre. Are they good. I'm still not sure. They do take out some of the bumps. I want to be able to load them up. I'm still fine-tuning. They definitely don't take out as many bumpsas a suspension fork. I think I'm going to like them in the end. . Haven't tested them with corrugated bumps with a load. I've got the ones for 80kg weight and I'm only 70kg. Got told to do this. Not sure if it's right or wrong?. Sorry for a strange answer. I'll know more when I've done a few more tours with them. Cheers Chris.

Hi mate, is the West Kiewa Logging rd a quicker route up than Big Hill? its longer by distance compared to Big Hill Fire Track , curious to know why you took this route??

I used to go that way. Just found this easier. Haven't timed it to see which is faster. ?

Hello Chris, I would reckon there'd be deep snow there at the moment. Timing is everything. On the flip side, your new sleeping bag would have had a colder test.

I'm sure there would be. Falls creek got 16cm in the last 24 hrs. If my boots weren't wet, I would have stayed. Soon again.

A hot chocolate in that weather is one of the greatest things ever.
Good to see you riding again.
