Thanks, In the mud falling over with the bike on a hill. I just couldn't make it to the top. I slid all the way back down. A few words were spoken then. To get on with the job is all you can really do. Cheers Chris.
Your challenges are reminding me and inspiring me to get back out on a tour. It’s been two or three years. I’m getting too lazy. No brakes, little food, no money. Makes good stories and memories!!! Thanks bro!
What would we do without zip ties and duct tape! Well done. I’ve bike packed to Tin Mine many times and love the silence there. Have only been as far as Cowombat Flat so enjoyed watching your video of the loop through Benambra. I really appreciate your work from someone who’s bike packing days are sadly now behind him. Cheers.
Thanks, Kevin. Yes there were a few more downs in this one than usual. Always adds to the adventure. Hopefully in a few weeks time another one. Cheers Chris.
Thanks. I went into the shop and asked about using Bpay as they are a Post office. Or if there was any way to pay them from my bank account. I did say that I was on a bike and had left my Wallet. I think they thought I was on a motorbike?. They just said there's no way they can do it. So I thought I guess I'll just have to do it with the food I've got. I wasn't really that hungry. Just went to bed early so as not to think about food.
Wow what a trip! Thanks for going to so much effort to shoot and edit so much content! You really are a gluten for punishment! I seem to recall a past trip through that area where you ran out of food? Tin Mines is my favourite camp spot in the snowies. Did the brumbies stampede all around you overnight there? Last time I was there we had them going crazy around the tent all night! You need to setup Samsung or Google pay in that phone. Those brakes failing is bad - I do always notice my Maguras are worse at altitude.
Thanks, Mark. There was a Brumby making noise at me up the creek. He settled down and must have moved the mob away. Yes, I will be setting paywave up on my phone. I tried but I needed my card numbers. I'm unsure if it's the cold or the altitude with the hydraulic oil. Happed a few times. I will change them to normal cable brakes at some stage. It was hard but still very glad I did it. I did get low on food on another trip but never this low. Cheers, Chris. Picking Mandarins in Cobram now.
Probably didn't need to in this hut. It does have a dirt floor this one. But in the past I've had mice run over me at night lots of times. So for me it's just easier to feel comfortable. Huts you can stay in are mostly in the Kosciuszko National Park NSW. In Victoria they are for emergency use only mostly.
You must have a stomach of steel. No way would i drink from most of, if not all of the streams all the way from jagungal to limestone; without treating it first. Bloody feral horses and the rest 😢
Still the best, and most authentic bike/adventure channel on TH-cam!
Thanks, Yep this adventure pushed me. All so true. Very glad I did it.
With the best photography!
thats sums it up 100% true.Thank you
Love your work, Chris!! The calmness you exuded under all that adversity was very impressive. Hanging out for the next video. 😊

Thanks, At the time it's hard. But once you get back that fades quick. Then I'm just glad I did it. Cheers Chris.
Great stuff Chris! An enthralling winter journey with great film work, honesty and enthusiasm. Many thanks for sharing!😃👍
Thanks for the nice words. Glad you liked it.

Brilliant vid again Chris, adversity in spades in this one for sure, great to watch though how you handled it all, well done.😅😊 Kevin.

Well done Chris for this climb. A fair old effort to climb up from the lowlands.
Thanks, as hard as it was so glad I did it. Can't wait to get out again. After Mandarin picking.
A high challenge factor in this adventure.👏
Yes and good rewards for the experience. Cheers Chris.
Hi Chris....dont know how you survived on so little food, I would have begged the store keeper at Benambra for some food...well done.

Красиво, особенно в снегах.
Thank you.

Very good video! as always What keeps the bike standing at 18,21 ish? I see no kickstand or anything else :-)
Thanks. It just balanced in the snow. Shows that the bike was sinking in the snow a bit. So I videoed it.
Good🚴♂️
Thanks. 😀
Why do you use a tent inside the hut? I'm heading to Australia soon from Canada for some bikepacking, so I'm trying to educate myself.

Thanks😀
Being able to pay with your phone is handy sometimes.
Yes. That must be set up soon.

The stream was flowing very fast. It was a risk I've taken lots. Did get bad water once on the other side of the park.
