Rain Harvest & First Flush Filter Inspection Clean.

  • We are looking at the First Flush Filter to look at the debris that is being caught in the system. It's amazing to see the difference of particle matter that is being trapped. On the northern side where we have been working installing the solar panels we notice mud and silt. On the western side there more insects and seeds which surely would have come from bird droppings. Certainly and interesting mix. The first flush is certainly working and keeping the drinking water clean.

    Tank set ups are so much better these days I can remember dad pulling out dead animals out of our old tanks when we were kids love seeing what your up to.

    Great to see it working so well for you. You may have to change the angle of the 90-degree pieces over your tank inlet once you get some rain (more than willing to send some of what we have been getting lately) coming off the roof. By the look of the angles from the gutter down, you will have a fair bit of pressure coming out and the water missing your tank altogether unless you have those 90-degree pieces pointing directly down into your tank.
