The Flash has always been able to phase through solid objects. He vibrates his molecules fast enough to pass through things. To be honest, The Flash is so much more powerful than a lot of people realize.

The plot of Barry going back in time to save his mother was indeed used in the comics and to a far greater degree, which is why some people might not enjoy this movie as much. I would love to see you guys react to the animated film "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox" which is based off of the Flashpoint story from the comics which this is based off of. I think you guys would really enjoy the gritty take.
The Flashpoint Paradox is so damn good. Really essential viewing if you're into DC at all, one of the more compelling stories out there. DC kills it in the animated game!!

I remember having zero expectation on the movie. If anything I was expecting to be very bad. I came out liking it, and I LOVED Sasha Calle as Kara. A lot of cool things in this. Im a HUGE Christopher Reeve fan, seeing his face nearly made me tear up. Also hated the cowl that Affleck had. Looked strange, as well as the Flash suit. Apparently there is a Flash suit they used on set that looked much better.
I love the Flash and this movie even with its flaws. But I will say if the emotional moments between Barry and his mom weren’t in it, the movie would be rated much lower for me

i cant remember who the villain was but in the comics the flash had to beat someone in a race and he ran faster than the villain who could teleport by having everyone on earth run and use there kinetic energy
In the Zack's Justice league when the mother boxes explodes, the first thing Flash did was he phases through the explosion if you see, so phasing wasn't new to him.
The first Super Girl was Helen Slater, that's who the blonde was next to Reeves. She was in the movie The Legend of Billie Jean also, another absolute classic!!!
The CW’s The Flash series hooked me on the character and I’ve grown into much more of a DC fan since it premiered. I was so hyped when this movie was announced…then all the crazy stuff happened. While I won’t justify any of the stuff that happens, it was a shame to see Ezra’s best portrayal of Barry Allen(while somewhat obscure/unique) in the closing chapter of the Snyder Verse. Like that universe, this movie isn’t perfect but it had plenty of amazing moments that enjoyed. All of which was the effort of a lot of people. For that reason, I can’t help but express my love for the good things in this movie that they created for us. Maybe Grant Gustin will have some time to rest from the CW show and then get a chance to hit the big screen in James Gunn’s DCU🤞⚡️⚡️⚡️

I like to play a game with this movie. I find someone who hasn't seen it yet and tell them "Ezra Miller steals some beers, causes a major accident while standing naked in the middle of the street and then appears naked in his neighbour's apartment" and they have to guess if I'm talking about the movie or the news.
I don't think this movie would be a movie without the batman (and George Clooney) or the several supermans it has. Without those components I think the movie is not great at all, I liked the twist with Barry's story but that was it for me. Also, after getting to know the Flash from the tv show, where he is super smart, funny but not to the point of being dumb, innocent but knowledgeable, and this barry (from the very beginning and all Ezra things aside) was not it for me, this flash is a little bit too silly for my taste. Great video guys! p.s yes, you are right, all the people that worked in this movie deserve praise and it needs to be said. We can't blame an entire group of people for just one person
The Flash is my favorite DC character, and Flashpoint is one of my favorite comics. I would have loved to see it faithfully adapted. However, besides some moments of poor CGI, I enjoyed this movie and didn't feel the need to say, "I only watched it because..." I found that a lot of people say that just to justify watching something they feel people are going to judge them 4 watching due to controversies. I find the justification very cringy, however. If you are going to watch it, just watch it. Stop worrying about what other people think.
Idk why it took me till this movie to realize how similar Flash & Batman are 😂after all the cartoons & the tv show I’ve seen. The Nick Cage Superman movie was going to be directed by Tim Burton, not Kevin Smith. Also, it was the producer who wanted Superman to fight a giant spider.

As for this flash being able to phase I believe he phased through the explosion in the justice league film. That’s how he was able to survive it and turn back time.

It’s definitely a theme of Barry trying to save his mom but it always turns out badly. He tried in the flash tv show as well. He could always phase through things once he’s learned how to!

Seeing Michael Keaton return as Batman was the one and only reason I watched this movie. Christopher Reeve (Superman) and Helen Slater (Supergirl) at the end, was completely unexpected and very emotional.

I just watched this last night and it was definitely a good watch but I feel like the movie needed to be a little longer the fight with general Zod & supergirl was short same with batman & the fight with Berry & his dark version. Sasha Calle who plays supergirl did a fantastic job I must say definitely would like to see her return somehow.
I liked the movie, it has a good story and the batmans were very good and I loved this super girl, ezra miller proved to be a good professional because I believed there were 2 flashes in the movie and the final scene with the mother was authentic
People were boycotting the film because of the trouble Ezra had been in. There were many trashing this film. But I say to ignore the reviews. I liked the film. Supergirl was great. Nice scenes with the parents and seeing Keaton.
I loved Supergirl, though it was a crock of s*** that they introduced her just to kill her off like that. Same with Keaton, to bring him back just to kill him off was a kick in the face to his legacy and to the fans. The writers clearly didn’t care enough to respect the characters
I can see why people found it distasteful, but I personally just loved it. It was a fun movie and had some great moments. Christopher Reeve is my Superman so seeing him is always going to make the tears begin. And the Williams cue too. Just a great fun time.

Sure, there are exceptions to it, but typically, when an actor or actress appears in a movie or television series as a fictional character, it means that their other movies or series don't exist or other people played the parts. The example used at the Website that I learned about it from, used "Doctor Who" as an example. Billie Piper admirers don't walk up to "Rose Tyler" and ask her for Billie's autograph because in that universe, the person that looks like her is "Rose Tyler"! (An ironic example, though, as people have approached the cast to ask for autographs and pictures as scenes were being made!) So there are no movies or series featuring George Clooney or the other cast members of this movie! 🤔 🤯
Fun Fact: Batman and Robin were first portrayed on screen in "The Batman" serial in 1943, played by Lewis Wilson and Douglas Croft. At the time, they decided to make the villain Japanese during the WWII run of the serial. I completely forgot that Kevin Smith had a hand in Tim Burton's "Superman Lives". I would've really loved to Nic Cage's Superman with Michael Keaton's Batman. I say bring back the Burton-verse 😁
Personally, I'm just not a fan of the multiverse in general. The movies are becoming more about cameos and nostalgia than creating an actually good story. I really did not like the younger Flash at all and sure it was cool seeing Michael back, but that doesn't automatically make this movie as amazing as it does for some other people. I think they can do a movie well with multiple heroes. Look at Infinity War and ZS Justice League. The story in those were a lot better in my opinion.
The cgi is regular but the movie is actually pretty good, I did like it and tbh they did know how to use the cameos, hell they even showed ones we haven't hear of in years 10:32 yes the flash is able to do that and more, he can even transform Items. I actually like this one a lot. It's fun, and the Flash is what I want him to be. Maybe I would change something here or there, but overall, I enjoyed it. I hope you guys will go to see Blue Beetle, you'll have a lot of fun with that one!

years of watching the flash series really helped me when I watched this movie, like the phasing he did those are one of the many tricks the flash can do. But Im glad you guys have found some parts were u enjoyed this movie for me this is a good movie not the best but definitely not the worst.
I gotta disagree on Batflecks mask. I think hes got the best mask by far over all of them. The BvS suit is the most intimidating suit weve ever seen batman wear.

It was supposed to be Keaton getting out of the car at the end, and his Batman was going to replace Batfleck going forward. But then James Gunn and Peter Safran took over, and all future plans for the DC movies changed. They even permanently shelved the completed Batgirl movie as a tax write-off, which Keaton was supposed to be in. So rather than set up something for future movies that weren't going to happen anymore, they cut Keaton from the ending and reshot it with Clooney as just another crazy cameo. What's particularly bumming about this movie's box office failure was that a Batman Beyond movie would've also been made if The Flash had been successful. But that's not happening anymore either.
Keaton is technically alive because in the alternative ending shoot from behind the scences we saw keaton was the batman that came out instead of clooney so technically hes still alive.
4:45 it looks worse when Wonder Woman shows up. The CW flash and animated were both able to “phase” through stuff. I think they went a little overboard on the younger Barry talking about genitals so much. I love how they brought some of the older characters from the other movies and shows back even showing Nicolas Cage as Superman was cool. Best part of this was Michael Keaton back as Batman. Definitely need to check out the special features. There’s one called “Let’s get nuts” it talks about bringing Keaton back and him signing on made them want to make this movie. One thing I didn’t understand about the younger flash is why his scar didn’t heal.

Adding to what you are saying: the harsh opinions came from both toxic fans or the ones who stick too much with the series. The movie did fair treatment with their characters, in fact they manage the time topic pretty well
Here's the problem with the ending....Barry's dad having an "alibi" doesn't matter in this case. He showed up immediately after his wife died. It's not like the store was an hour away. It's not enough to show 'reasonable doubt'. Hell, the DA could argue that when he got home, she cussed him for getting the wrong can of tomatoes and he went crazy and killed her.
And that's why the Jossitce League exist... I never liked the 2017 Justice League, but you can now say with this, that film, is part of the multiverse.

Here's the thing: I enjoyed this movie at my first watch, in the theatre. Then I thought twice: plotwise there's quite nothing that matters, except for Flash messing with the timeline. The whole subplot of saving Kara was useless, the battle with Zod as well, giving purpose to Batman/Keaton too. Plus, all the CGI in the "time bubbles" was really terrible, and nowadays with that budget that's unforgivable. I felt chills like everyone in seeing Reeve and Cage, of course, but they were no more than easter eggs. I only really save the emotional part following Barry's personal feelings, that really got to me and I think Miller's done a really good job. They tried the DC version of No Way Home, and they failed in my opinion. But as I said, it's still fun 😁
Agreed The heart of the film with Barry and his mother was the best part, same with trying to clear his father’s name. The ending was the best part, and I laughed out loud at the Clooney cameo. But it still wasn’t enough to save the film, I felt incredibly disappointed by it and I wished I used that money to see Elemental for a third time as that was a much more superior film
I agree about the plot being kinda flat but the "time-bubble" cgi didn't bother me at all. It clearly wasn't meant to be photorealistic. The entire scene was very stylized and I think it worked to create an otherworldly feel.

You should definitely check out season 1 of The Flash TV series. It's much more detailed and engaging.

It’s definitely a theme of Barry trying to save his mom but it always turns out badly. He tried in the flash tv show as well. He could always phase through things once he’s learned how to!

Seeing Michael Keaton return as Batman was the one and only reason I watched this movie. Christopher Reeve (Superman) and Helen Slater (Supergirl) at the end, was completely unexpected and very emotional.

I just watched this last night and it was definitely a good watch but I feel like the movie needed to be a little longer the fight with general Zod & supergirl was short same with batman & the fight with Berry & his dark version. Sasha Calle who plays supergirl did a fantastic job I must say definitely would like to see her return somehow.
I liked the movie, it has a good story and the batmans were very good and I loved this super girl, ezra miller proved to be a good professional because I believed there were 2 flashes in the movie and the final scene with the mother was authentic
I think you missed it but in the last scene. The man that barry took the hotdog frome before the cort. Was the direction 😂😂😂

Badd medicine is back
People were boycotting the film because of the trouble Ezra had been in. There were many trashing this film. But I say to ignore the reviews. I liked the film. Supergirl was great. Nice scenes with the parents and seeing Keaton.
I loved Supergirl, though it was a crock of s*** that they introduced her just to kill her off like that.
Same with Keaton, to bring him back just to kill him off was a kick in the face to his legacy and to the fans.
The writers clearly didn’t care enough to respect the characters

I loved this movie 🍿 . I was a big Christopher Reeves fan growing up. Don’t understand all the hating the movie received.
I can see why people found it distasteful, but I personally just loved it. It was a fun movie and had some great moments. Christopher Reeve is my Superman so seeing him is always going to make the tears begin. And the Williams cue too. Just a great fun time.

Sure, there are exceptions to it, but typically, when an actor or actress appears in a movie or television series as a fictional character, it means that their other movies or series don't exist or other people played the parts. The example used at the Website that I learned about it from, used "Doctor Who" as an example. Billie Piper admirers don't walk up to "Rose Tyler" and ask her for Billie's autograph because in that universe, the person that looks like her is "Rose Tyler"! (An ironic example, though, as people have approached the cast to ask for autographs and pictures as scenes were being made!)
So there are no movies or series featuring George Clooney or the other cast members of this movie! 🤔 🤯
I knew about it ahead of time, but Clooney was the one I was really looking forward to seeing.

Personally, I'm just not a fan of the multiverse in general. The movies are becoming more about cameos and nostalgia than creating an actually good story. I really did not like the younger Flash at all and sure it was cool seeing Michael back, but that doesn't automatically make this movie as amazing as it does for some other people. I think they can do a movie well with multiple heroes. Look at Infinity War and ZS Justice League. The story in those were a lot better in my opinion.
The cgi is regular but the movie is actually pretty good, I did like it and tbh they did know how to use the cameos, hell they even showed ones we haven't hear of in years
10:32 yes the flash is able to do that and more, he can even transform Items. In fact he is one of the most powerful heroes in DC

years of watching the flash series really helped me when I watched this movie, like the phasing he did those are one of the many tricks the flash can do. But Im glad you guys have found some parts were u enjoyed this movie for me this is a good movie not the best but definitely not the worst.

It was supposed to be Keaton getting out of the car at the end, and his Batman was going to replace Batfleck going forward. But then James Gunn and Peter Safran took over, and all future plans for the DC movies changed. They even permanently shelved the completed Batgirl movie as a tax write-off, which Keaton was supposed to be in. So rather than set up something for future movies that weren't going to happen anymore, they cut Keaton from the ending and reshot it with Clooney as just another crazy cameo. What's particularly bumming about this movie's box office failure was that a Batman Beyond movie would've also been made if The Flash had been successful. But that's not happening anymore either.
Keaton is technically alive because in the alternative ending shoot from behind the scences we saw keaton was the batman that came out instead of clooney so technically hes still alive.

4:45 it looks worse when Wonder Woman shows up. The CW flash and animated were both able to “phase” through stuff. I think they went a little overboard on the younger Barry talking about genitals so much. I love how they brought some of the older characters from the other movies and shows back even showing Nicolas Cage as Superman was cool. Best part of this was Michael Keaton back as Batman. Definitely need to check out the special features. There’s one called “Let’s get nuts” it talks about bringing Keaton back and him signing on made them want to make this movie. One thing I didn’t understand about the younger flash is why his scar didn’t heal.

Here's the problem with the ending....Barry's dad having an "alibi" doesn't matter in this case. He showed up immediately after his wife died. It's not like the store was an hour away. It's not enough to show 'reasonable doubt'. Hell, the DA could argue that when he got home, she cussed him for getting the wrong can of tomatoes and he went crazy and killed her.
And that's why the Jossitce League exist... I never liked the 2017 Justice League, but you can now say with this, that film, is part of the multiverse.

Here's the thing: I enjoyed this movie at my first watch, in the theatre. Then I thought twice: plotwise there's quite nothing that matters, except for Flash messing with the timeline. The whole subplot of saving Kara was useless, the battle with Zod as well, giving purpose to Batman/Keaton too. Plus, all the CGI in the "time bubbles" was really terrible, and nowadays with that budget that's unforgivable. I felt chills like everyone in seeing Reeve and Cage, of course, but they were no more than easter eggs. I only really save the emotional part following Barry's personal feelings, that really got to me and I think Miller's done a really good job. They tried the DC version of No Way Home, and they failed in my opinion. But as I said, it's still fun 😁

The heart of the film with Barry and his mother was the best part, same with trying to clear his father’s name.
The ending was the best part, and I laughed out loud at the Clooney cameo.
But it still wasn’t enough to save the film, I felt incredibly disappointed by it and I wished I used that money to see Elemental for a third time as that was a much more superior film
I agree about the plot being kinda flat but the "time-bubble" cgi didn't bother me at all. It clearly wasn't meant to be photorealistic. The entire scene was very stylized and I think it worked to create an otherworldly feel.
