It was up in the air for a while hether he would choose to play Shazam or Black Adam (or even both, some people were speculating). And he obviously chose the latter. It's rumored or reported somewhere that he actually despises the tone of the Shazam movies, which is why we've heard no news about them squaring off, which per the comics makes the most sense.

To answer your question about hawkman, he is kind of immortal-ish way...beacause when he dies, he wilo be reincarnated into another person...and their suit or weapon is called "nth metal or enth" wings, boots, belt...and its abilities are controlled mentally, but basing from the movie, it looks like a suit...in the old justice league cartoons, their wings is a part of their body i think...

Also dr. Fate is way much stronger than dr. Strange... and the helmet is the is magic/weapon itself... the helmet chooses who is going to be the bearer of the helmet, the stronger the person he/she has affinity with magic, the stronger he/she is...dr. fate was introduced i think from 1940 and dr strange was around 1960...

Marvel just has the benefit of introducing theirs to the movies first. Atom Smasher came before Deadpool. Ant-Man did come before Atom Smasher, but The Atom, another DC character who has the same powers as Ant-Man, came first. Hawkman came before Falcon. I thought people might compare falcon with Hawkman, but the ultimate irony of the whole movie is that they used him as the character for the "heroes don't kill" rule, when he is one of the most hardcore MFs-kinda on par with wolverine and the punisher in terms of kill count and brutality.
He has had many multiple origin stories which convoluted him, but a recent retcon funneled all of them into one.
Basically, long before any known time, Katar H'al was a conqueror who led an army in the universe called the deathbringers and used them to wreak havoc on life. He had the highest body count, in the name of a dark god. However, after a point, he started feeling remorse which led to one of his closest friends and generals backstabbing him. In his final moments of death, another deity gave him a boon-to atone for all his sins and to save as many people as he can to equal the death toll he caused throughout the universe, he will be reborn again and again, through space and time across the DC multiverse. He has had many incarnations-an egyptian prince, an alien space cop, hell, even a kryptonian scientist. But the one in the movie, carter hall, is the newest one-an archeologist. He may use a suit built with nth metal, and has had a lifetime of war.

However, Black Adam is still very strong as he went toe to toe with Superman and Shazam at the same time. It was actually a really good animated film. In the end, Dr. Fate was heavily nerfed. Black Adam
Supernatural Strength: Black Adam has the strength of the Gods, making him far stronger than any human and most superhumans and putting him on equal terms with the likes of Superman and Ultraman. His most impressive demonstration of strength shows when he along with Sinestro, moved Prime Earth's moon [roughly 73,430,000,000,000,000,000 tonnes] back into orbit suggesting he has near limitless strength. As such Teth Adam can easily lift and toss around vehicles and take full grown men apart limb from limb and physically dismantle battle attested rigs like tanks or army jeeps with little to no effort. Knocking around Ultraman and a mystically empowered Alex Luther around with a punch with moderate exertion, though his upper limits are still undisclosed. Ultraman is not the only Superman-level threat Adam's dealt with, either. When he was a Yellow Lantern, he managed to punch the spit out of a superior, amped Mongul. And once his ring was charged an extra hundred percent, they were placed on even ground and Adam pummeled him with ease. In Doomsday Clock, it was implied that Adam punched Superman through multiple buildings and down a street.

      Superman's Powers and Abilities
The powers of the DC Comics character Superman have changed a great deal since his introduction in the 1930s. As the character developed, his abilities were enhanced in order to maintain the interest of his audience. The extent of his powers peaked during the 1970s and 80's, to the point where it became difficult to create suitable challenges for the character. As a result, his powers were significantly reduced when his story was rebooted by writer John Byrne after the Crisis on Infinite Earths series. After Byrne's departure, Superman's powers were gradually increased again, although he still remains weaker than his Pre-Crisis incarnation.
      Golden Age Superman
As presented in the original 1930's comic strip, Superman's powers were indigenous to those of all Kryptonians. In the origin stories of the comic books and comic strip, Kryptonians were shown using the same powers that Superman would have on Earth. Later, Krypton's larger size and gravity was given as an explanation for the character's powers.
      Silver/Bronze Age (Pre-Crisis) Superman
Superman's powers were enhanced and added to from the 1940s until the mid-eighties. His powers were explained as a result of two factors: the comparatively weaker gravity of Earth, and the intensity of Earth's yellow sun. As such, Superman's powers were negated if he entered an environment similar to that of Krypton, such as the bottle city of Kandor, or if he was exposed to the solar energy of a red sun. In Silver Age stories, the powers and limitations of Superman were instantly possessed by any Kryptonians exposed to Earth or Earth-like conditions. Individuals from the planet Daxam, such as Mon-El, possessed identical powers, but were invulnerable to Kryptonite and highly susceptible to lead poisoning.
      Post-Crisis
When the Superman character was revised by John Byrne shortly after Crisis on Infinite Earths, it was decided to place restrictions on his abilities. This was designed to make it easier for writers to come up with suitable challenges for the hero, and to eliminate or reduce those powers that had become too sensational or unbelievable for modern audiences. Emphasis was placed on yellow sun energy as a source for the character's powers. Superman's origin story was altered so that his powers developed gradually as his body absorbed yellow sunlight, and stories such as the Final Night series depicted the character gradually losing his powers when deprived of the sun's energy. When Superman's reserves of solar energy were depleted, as in Infinite Crisis or the Death of Superman story arcs, he required an extended period of time under a yellow sun, or some type of artificial solar enhancement in order to recharge.
Power Reduction Superman's strength was reduced to the point where he could still move tremendous amounts, but the character no longer had the ability to move planets. His speed was also reduced so that he could not exceed the speed of light. While still capable of surviving a nuclear explosion, such events would severely weaken him. Superman's sight, stamina and breath powers were also similarly reduced, and the character was also shown as requiring an oxygen mask for prolonged travel in space or underwater. His mental abilities were also curtailed to the point where intelligent humans, like geniuses Lex Luthor or Batman, could possibly outsmart him. The powers of super-ventriloquism and super-hypnosis were not generally used during this period, although it was never stated whether they had been eliminated or not.
      Modern Era
After Byrne's departure from the series, Superman's powers and abilities were once again increased over time. He regained the ability to travel interstellar distances and to hold his breath for the amount of time required to make such journeys. His strength, speed, and sensory abilities were again increased, although not to Pre-Crisis levels.
The comparative weakness of the Superman character to his Pre-Crisis incarnation was definitively shown during Infinite Crisis. The Superboy-Prime character, endowed with nearly the same power levels as the Silver Age Superman, was capable of defeating large numbers of DC universe heroes, including the Teen Titans and many members of theGreen Lantern Corps. The Modern Era Superman and his Earth 2 counterpart were only able to defeat Superboy-Prime after plunging him through Krypton's red sun, thereby reducing his powers.
      Comparative strength
While Superman is frequently assumed to be the strongest hero in the DC universe, following the Byrne reboot, his strength tends to fluctuate depending on the amount of solar energy his cells have absorbed and the writer of the particular story. He has received a temporary boost in power after surviving a plunge into the Sun, and has had his powers depleted when deprived of such energy. The limits of how much energy Superman can absorb, and by extension the maximum limits of his power, has never been stated. Additionally, because of the solar energy that empowers him, he has often been depicted as being potentially immortal, as well as having a different ageing process, as seen in the Grant Morrison written series set in the far future of the DC Universe, DC One Million. The canonicity of this series is unknown.
Characters such as Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman, and Martian Manhunter have been described variously over time as equals, at least equal (possibly superior), or, in the last case, even superior. Captain Marvel has been able to knock him out with 1-2 punches by taking him by surprise, and Superman has stated outright that the latter has the advantage in a fist-fight due to his magic-derived powers. When the Modern Era Supergirl was introduced, it was suspected that she was stronger than her cousin, but this was due to the fact that Superman had learned to restrain his strength through years of living with weaker individuals, an ability that Kara Zor-El had not yet learned.
It is important to note that while Superman is among the strongest DC heroes, there are many who match his strength, most notably Darkseid, Bizarro, Lobo, the Cyborg Superman, Eradicator, the original Mongul, General Zod and Black Adam, while Doomsday and Despero have occasionally been shown as stronger, the former being able to effortlessly stand his ground against the entire Justice League, and the latter defeating Superman, Captain Marvel, Wonder Woman, and Power Girl at the same time. Heroes and villains with magical capabilities, like the Spectre, Zatanna, and Doctor Fate, have displayed cosmic level power vastly beyond Superman's capabilities. The Flash possesses the ability to travel at the speed of light, shunting his mass towards infinity, and enabling him to perform such feats as defeating a white martian with one punch, or almost overcoming the Anti-Monitor singlehandedly. Hal Jordan, with the will-fueled power of the Green Lantern ring, has also been cited as being a match for Superman, being able to lay him down with one punch while possessed by Parallax. The Guardians of the Universe allegedly possess abilities dwarfing those of regular Green Lantern Corps members. Kyle Rayner, inhabited by the benevolent symbiote "Ion", was recently touted as the most powerful of Earth's superheroes. Maxima, has many powers such as telepathy and psi-bolts that have knocked out Orion, who is on equal footing to Superman, effortlessly. She also possesses Matter Manipulation, Telekinesis, and possession abilities that would make her a threat to the entire Justice League. Maxima also can hold her own against Doomsday in strength and can increase her physicallity to infinite levels.
One villain that is often portrayed as vastly superior to Superman in every way is the five-dimensional entity Mr. Mxyzptlk. While the limits and nature of Mxyzptlk's powers is unclear, he is often portrayed as being, for all practical purposes, 'omnipotent,' and his encounters with Superman often amount to him simply toying with the Man of Steel.
      ________
      Superman (Clark Kent) Weaknesses
Kryptonian Physiology: Under the effects of a "yellow" sun, Superman possesses the same potential weaknesses as an average Kryptonian. These include:
      Vulnerability to Kryptonite
      Vulnerability to Magic
Solar Energy Dependency: Kryptonian abilities will eventually weaken without replenishing their energy reserves with normal (yellow) sun radiation. When exposed to the same red solar radiation as Krypton's red sun Rao, it causes Kryptonians to lose their powers within a large amount of exposure until exposure to yellow sunlight reverses this effect. When exposed to orange solar radiation from a different galaxy, Superman's strength and abilities will drastically diminished, eventually weakening him. The radiation also affects his intellectual capacity and reduces his ability to think.
Sensory Overload: With his extremely acute senses, Superman can be overtaxed to the point of pain when encountered by extreme external stimuli such as hypersonics (hearing), balance, sight (flash bang).
Radiation Poisoning: Superman was exposed to deadly radiation during his encounter with the aliens from the Breach, causing him to rapidly age. He slowed the progression of his condition via regular infusions of rejuvanating magic from Enchantress, but this was undone by a sorceress working for Mongul.
Power Limitation: Superman's sickness has caused his powers to fade and weaken. Although still significantly stronger than a human he is less powerful than an average healthy Kryptonian.

Just want it pointed out, because everyone thinks Marvel characters always debuted first because of the MCU and act liked DC ripped off Marvel, which both companies did, blatantly, but Dr. Fate debuted in 1940, Dr. Strange in 1963. Atom Smasher in 1983, Deadpool in 1991. Hawkman in 1940, Falcon in 1969.

Unsure if said, but Atom Smasher and Cyclone are originally grandkids of original JSA members. Cyclone grew up admiring them a lot, and the man who kidnapped her is supposed to be a man named T.O. Morrow, who makes androids with powers.
Intergang also gets their supplies/weapons from Apokolips. So Darkseid's people. Who you see in ZS Justice League.

I think that it was a good movie for what it was, but could have better if the focus was on JS against Black Adam and ignore the demon bad guy.

Hopefully this comment doesnt get too buried but let me say that I absolutely love you guys and want you to keep this up. My girlfriend and I just spent the entire day watching your Harry Potter reactions and we loved every moment of it. I liked this movie quite a bit mainly because we got to see the JSA and especially Doctor Fate... I think Batman and Superman are wonderful but they have a new movie every couple of years while this may likely be it for the JSA unless James Gunn decides to use them... So just wanted to give you guys some background info on Doctor Fate since he is my fave superhero and I might not get this chance again... He's got an absolutely tragic backstory where as a little kid he was exploring an ancient tomb in mesopotamia with his father. During the excavation he pulls a lever which releases an ancient deity named Nabu. Unfortunately it also releases a gas which kills his father. Nabu then essentially brainwashes and traps him inside the tomb and teaches him sorcery for years before eventually transforming him into an adult. Nabus final act is to release young Doctor Fate from his mind control who in retribution for the death of his father destroys the corporeal form of Nabu and turns him into the Helm of Fate (Nabu). Doctor Fate is DCs magical powerhouse.. the last line of defense in many cases where magical and multiversal threats are concerned. As far as his powers are concerned his magic allows him to do pretty much anything he wants to. In response to the question that the Oak posed.. in the comics Doctor Fate wouldn't have needed the JSAs help to deal with Black Adam and Sabbac he's above them in terms of power plus Nabu and Teth Adam have known each other for millennia. What makes Fate interesting is the constant battle for control Kent Nelson has to engage in since while wearing the Helm of Fate Nabu is mostly in control. Anyways thats enough of my nerd rant... Keep doing what you are doing it's fantastic!

    1:11:26 Mark! 104,144 Views + Mine! 🎉 4K Thumbs Up + Mine! 👍 Guys, you're welcome, and thanks! 😊
Notes: "Atom Smasher"? Well, "DC" also has "The Atom"! The singer "Adam Ant" got his stage name from the "Hanna-Barbera" character "Atom Ant" whose costume resembles that of "The Atom"! He could shrink to smaller sizes, hence his name, while "Doll Man" didn’t shrink smaller than a "Ken" doll from "Mattel"! The only other guy that I can think at the moment with "Smasher" in his name is "The Spy Smasher"! But when World War 2 ended, so did his career. I'm not sure if he got to come back for the Cold War. 🤔
The only live-action version of "The Atom" that we have was played by actor Brandon Routh for the set of series set in "The Arrowverse" on "The CW"! ("Constantine" was on "NBC" for only one season. "Supergirl" began on "CBS" but ended on "The CW"!)
Instead of being a man in a tight costume, this version wore an armored suit that allowed him to be like both "Ironman" and "Ant-Man/Giant Man"! Whereas in the comics, he could shrink and grow organically.
Brandon Routh's "Superman" and "The Atom" met because of the "Crisis On Infinite Earths" and somehow one was taller than the other!
"Hawkman"! He was created during legal Segregation during the "Golden Age of Comics" and he was an Egyptian Prince reincarnated! During the "Silver Age of Comics" he became a Thanagarian. Both version met amd both were drawn as White guys! "The CW" used the reincarnation theme too, but with "Hawkgirl" included. Both White!
This movie version finally gave us someone who looked like he was from Africa! 🎉 (I never noticed how Charleton Heston's version of "The Ten Commandments" was so full of Whites until I saw the relatively recent remake with an authentic looking and sounding cast! 😁 (No Bronx accents!)
"CBS" during the 1970s gave us their "Saturday Morning Children's Programming Block" series known as "The SHAZAM - Isis Hour" or something like that. This movie gave us our first live-action "Isis" since that series! She is the mother/sister character!
But just as "Archer" was affected by the existence of a terrorist group called "I.S.I.S." so was "DC" in general and this movie in particular. 😮
If you want more, then you should teact to "DC's League of Super Pets"! Krypto and Black Adam's dog have their own talk! 😂😅
    Bye-bye for now! Namaste! 🙏

Dr. Fate appeared in comics in May 1940 and Dr Strange didn't come in till July 1963. As a die hard comic fan its funny when people think DC copies Marvel but sometimes they both do the same thing. The same common comparison is just like "Deathstroke and Deadpool" saying they look alike which is not untrue honestly lol but it shows they copy each other or just take inspiration from each other. I agree with more character development for the characters in the JS because people who don't read comics don't know about these characters. Hawkman did appear in Justice league the cartoon in the 90's but not everyone watched it so I would've loved seeing them explain more for them. Especially, how strong DR. fate is and I also love atom's back story because people I know compare him to Ant Man because he can grow in size. But, some of the action is good just it's always the writing for some reason with DC.
