The only real problem I had was the writing with Janet not saying anything almost immediately, either before or in the quantum realm. It just made no sense.
They need to watch Loki!! Especially since they teased season 2 on this movie. When you guys said they didn’t watch Loki I already knew the credits were going to be confusing for them lol. I would love to watch Loki again 🤗 my favorite character 🥰
People say that Kang in Quantumania was underwhelming, and I could see that the first part, but in reality Kang is weakened in this film. A lot of people don't really understand that. Kang is weakened because he is in the Quantumn Realm. Now, if Kang was outside of the Quantumn Realm and had access to time, then Kang would have been more capable and more powerful like traveling through time, manipulating time, and summoning any weapon from any point in time just like in the comics. And I liked how they did this because it proves that a weak Kang, or even the weakest Kang, can be a big threat, like how Kang conquered the Quantumn Realm, like a whole dimension basically, a weakened Kang conquered a whole dimension. It just goes to show the capability of Kang, and I hope that they can expand on this Kang stuff like every Kang after the one in Quantumania will be stronger and stronger just showing the danger of Kang as a whole.
One thing for Dave's comment that knowledge is power and why didn't Janet share what she knew - absolutely, knowledge is power, but too much knowledge you aren't ready for is a curse. If Janet didn't learn about Kang when she did and let him go, oblivious, the movie wouldn't need to happen at all. She had severe fear of Kang due to her knowledge and didn't want ANYONE she cared about to feel that same fear or face the threat that caused her to feel that dread...
I'd just like to point out that the last scene with Loki, the Kang variant was named Victor Timely. Timely Comics was the company that published Captain America back in the 1940s, a few decades later they changed the name to Marvel Comics in either the Sixties.
Perfect timing. I just watched this yesterday. It's a lot better than Eternals and Thor Love and Thunder, but below the other Ant-Man films. I did miss his crew. Janet not saying much until after things happened was annoying. Kang got defeated a littke too easily for having been as big as he was made out to be in Loki.
I doubt he won’t be so easily defeated the next we see him, also, he was single minded in this movie, he just wanted to get out, not necessarily aiming for the Avengers or Earth. Now he’s got a new goal and target, 100 percent paying attention.
This film doesn’t use as much blue screen as you would think. Marvel has started implementing Lucasfilm technology known as The Volume. Sets are dressed, but high def screens are used as the backdrop to give the actors a better understanding of what their characters are experiencing. Lighting reflects off the characters in a more natural way as well since reflective surfaces are reacting to the volume instead of being digitally modified.
Fun Fact: Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers was actually his first film. Though Clueless came out first that year in July, he filmed Halloween first. He talks about that a lot in interviews.
I think with Janet, the reason she was all hush hush about Kang was because that's how scared she was of him and ashamed for helping him. When she got out of the quantum realm she was thinking I'll never have to see him again. That's why she freaked out so hard when she discovered they were sending a signal.
07:20 I was about to say she's also from Star Wars The Mandalorian but then I realized you haven't watched it yet😂 11:45 Wait... You haven't watched Loki yet? What about the other MCU series? You should do a reaction vids for those! They definitely tie in to the movies!
Loved the reaction to the movie but loved even more your dynamic at the end with the boards, you tossing erasers and markers and laughing, I love your genuineness and how at ease you are with how you do things. Also, I think this movie is a three answers, it was entertaining but even though Kang was evil he wasn't shown as the big threat he is, maybe they are building him up? Don't know, but a good movie nonetheless.
Felt like they wanted to give Kang the push but at the end ants beat him this time pretty easy. To your point the big threat wasn't a big threat after all. All you need is ants :)
@@BaddMedicine exactly, the big villain wasn't as powerful after all, (barely an inconvenience😂) but yeah that bothered me but I hope they do present him stronger next time.
@@BaddMedicineTo be fair, Thanos basically sat in a chair for like a decade until he finally got the stones and decided to attack, he was only a real big threat after he had infinity stone power. Also, Kang wasn’t really focusing on this fight so much as he just wanted to get out. He had a bigger picture in mind. But now they’ve pissed him off, his 100 percent focus is not going to be good at all.
7:30 The girl (Jentorra) is played by Katy M. O'Brian and has indeed been in The Walking Dead, but only in 2 episodes in season 8, not really a recurring role. She's also known for Z Nation and playing Elia Kane in the Mandalorian. Btw, did Diamond Dave mess up the name tags again at the beginning? xD
Technically, Scott is really small still because the quantum realm is a smaller reality than normal reality. Also, wouldn't the people in the quantum realm suffer from the blip?? How were they all un fazed by that? Great reaction bros!
Yes she ( Katy O'Brian) was in Z Nation and had a tiny role in Walking Dead as a Savior which was her first television role. Her other roles include: Major Sarah Grey in Black Lighting, Kimball in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and recently was an Imperial comms officer Elia Kane in the 2nd & 3rd seasons of The Mandalorian. Also appearing in season 3 of Westworld. She is an amazing martial artist with a black belt in Hapkido. After she graduated from Uni she became a cop for 7yrs in Indiana. She obtained her personal trainer cert and also started competing in body building figure comps. After moving to L.A. to pursue a career in film & television she started teaching martial arts at UCLA in Hapkido, all while studying Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. The criticism isn’t about her feeling that way at the beginning, it’s about how long you drag that out can only do that for so long until it just feels unnecessarily drawn out
@Jacoc323 I think that just informs her guilt more than anything. It's drawn out cause she has to admit to her family that she fucked up bad. Something she's had to deal with by herself for a long time. Admiting who he is, is admiting who she was.

My question to you is was dragging it out even remotely worth it. Let’s hypothetically say you was invested in her stuff this movie was all that time worth it over them using that time in other areas like making Hope have a better presence in a movie she’s in the title for, or to help give a better insight to Scott and. Cassie’s relationship for example? I’d argue you work on those things with some of that time instead and this movie improves maybe to the point it just takes it a level above mediocre at least🤷🏿♂️
I hate the Ant-Man suit in this movie. Ant-Man's suit withstood blast from Kang's ships, Kang's own blast, but when he gets beat up by Kang, then his suit breaks. They made Ant-Man's suit durable to the point where it didn't make sense.
After the all the Jonathan Majors stuff that happened, they can still recast Kang and it'll just be a "variant" of him. Otherwise, now's the time for Marvel to introduce Dr. Doom while the Iron's hot.
So, when it comes to blue screen stuff, there's a pretty interesting new bit of tech around these days, which is a wrap-around set that they can project images onto the walls, floor, and ceilings. I can't remember what it is called, but it is from ILM, and I know for a fact that they used it a lot in Love and Thunder, and I don't doubt that they used it here, too.

Liked Quinn's point & thumbs to "Dad you're avenger" line 9:51 Kang made a good villian & visual effects for this film was impressive as it always is in Marvel Movies & Jentorra kinda looks like the actress who plays Alicia in FTWD.
My problem with this movie is how Cassie is just some super genius all of a sudden. No real reasoning or character growth just immediate perfection, it didn't ruin the movie but it certainly wasn't a solid choice.
This movie was a fun watching and better then ant-man 2. But was left with a lot of questions. Also really wish Janet would’ve just told them what was happening…anyways Can’t wait for your Guardians 3 reaction😢 😁!
I think (thanks to New Rockstars) that Antman never made it out of the quantum verse. The end of the movie feels very Truman show and there's A LOT of pink and purple (Kang colours) about the place.
Honestly, the best strategy I’ve had with MCU movies nowadays is to go in with no expectations, just expecting to be entertained, and I’ve enjoyed the movies more because of that. Unfortunately, people’s expectations of the MCU movies are too high now because of the Avengers movies and so now everyone complains about everything. The quality of the MCU was bound to decline sometime…it couldn’t last forever. So now I just try to enjoy it for what it is and not dwell on what could’ve been. Frankly, I don’t have room in my heart for that negative energy anymore. I do have issues with Janet’s behavior, MODOK being annoying af, and inconsistencies with the quantum realm time passing in this movie, but overall it’s entertaining and Kang makes a great villain!
Just yesterday I saw a comment saing the MCU sucked since it's not as good as End Game...you know, possibly the best comic book movie in all of history. I periodically see people making similar comments, "if it's not at or near the best ever, it sucks!"
About Modok... As a little kid Modok was scary. When I was 6 he was a terrifying character. After I was ten, not so much. As I grew older, Modok got more and more ridiculous. Until you get to the point where all Modok brings to a comicbook was 2 things: 1) The goofiest looking villain in the comic (possibly the even the entire Marvel Universe) 2) He's a dick So IMHO this was a pretty good adaptation of the character into the MCU.
40:08 YES . They should watch LOKI and probably before season two is released in October this year. Remember, everything is connected in the MCU. I think Mason and The Oak would have reacted better or understood the references if they had previous knowledge about what happened in that show.
Good review, guys, fairest I’ve seen. I liked it a lot. Scott’s family is one of my favorite clans in Mcu. I was expecting Scott and Hope to get trapped in the QR with Kang escaping, but I’m fine with how it ended. I don’t think this Kang is dead, but will reappear maybe as Victor Timely. In the last month, first the rumors were Kang wd be recast due to the actor’s legal troubles, but now all the rumors are Kang may be replaced by Doom as the big bad. I guess time will tell. 😊
She was part of the fraction of Negan’s group that Maggie took as prisoners they were the ones that were tied up with that long hair guy that killed herny’s older brother
It's a shame Marvel is replacing Kang as their next villain after the whole Jonathan Majors deal, 'cause he was the best parts in Loki and Quanumania for me!
My problem with this movie is that we are told that kang is this all powerful villain, but we aren’t shown that power. We are told that kang has beaten hundreds of avengers, including thor who is a god, and he has a whole advanced army with technology far superior to anything else known in the universe, and yet he gets defeated by an army of ants and antman
Well that's why he was exiled to the Quantum Realm, so he couldn't utilize his power. Still think it was a big mistake that they killed him here though; that's where they definitely screwed up as a result.
Some Conservative youtubers were unhappy with the film because Cassie was at a protest and shrunk a police car. Other viewers didn't like how Modok was written. Becoming a joke and not menacing. Also the cgi. There was the issue of Evangeline being u support of the Antivaxxer protest. Now with the abuse allegations against Jonathan. Hopefully they keep his scenes in Loki. They will no doubt keep the Kang storyline.
I understand this film has its faults but I really enjoyed it. Enjoyed it much better than Thor ragnarok and doctor strange multiverse of madness. Out of phase 4 Shang chi and this have been favorites. This movie is a 7 out of 10 for me. Doctor Strange 6.5 out of 10. Shang Chi 8.5 out of 10. Black Widow 6 out of 10. Spiderman 8 out of 10. Wakanda Forever 6 out of 10. And Thor love and thunder 6 out of 10. Haven’t seen Eternals yet Edit apparently antman takes place in phase 5 so I think Shang chi is my favorite film of phase 4.
what they really should have done with towards the end was just have kang just kill off ant man and get threw and kill off the wasp and her parents so that we all can be scary and worried about phase 5
I didn't go to see this as I had the feeling that it was going to be disappointing. Now I know. I'm mostly tired of the whole "multiverse/save the universe" storylines. Even from this truncated version the plot holes are just too big. Character development is much more interesting than special effects. Marvel was built on personal angst and development along with so-so and great villains.
I'm good with the movie's. It's a super hero movie just like all of them. Will see what happens because apparently some fan's that are fans of the movies and comics..I guess they don't like the multiverse. That's why they did it in the comics and the movie's because the comic's weren't sailing look into it
Unfortunately this is one of my least favorite mcu movies. I was so excited because of the trailers and then felt massively let down. A lot of it has to do with there being no character development for the characters and Kang being built up as this huge threat when he was defeated so easily. I think this didn't know if it wanted to be an Ant Man movie (funny, light hearted and not largely tied into the wider mcu) or an Avengers movie (huge threats and huge stakes and consequences).
What was your reaction? This wasn't the strongest but it wasn't the worst. Some fun surprises along the way.

So…you geniuses watched Ant-Man 3 without Loki, huh? C’mon guys! Alright….time to marathon Loki.
😂 yup. Mason Quinn and Oak will be catching up very soon here.
I’m in that same awkward position where I couldn’t care less for antman yet Paul Rudd I adore
About Modok...
As a little kid Modok was scary. When I was 6 he was a terrifying character. After I was ten, not so much. As I grew older, Modok got more and more ridiculous. Until you get to the point where all Modok brings to a comicbook was 2 things:
1) The goofiest looking villain in the comic (possibly the even the entire Marvel Universe)
2) He's a dick
So IMHO this was a pretty good adaptation of the character into the MCU.
40:08 YES . They should watch LOKI and probably before season two is released in October this year. Remember, everything is connected in the MCU. I think Mason and The Oak would have reacted better or understood the references if they had previous knowledge about what happened in that show.
I was excited for this one, I just watched it and it'll be soon in my channel
Definitely watch Loki season 1 then 2. Loved it!
Loki❤ Greeting from Germany❤
That Warrior Girl Is From The Mandalorian Season 3, She’s The Girl Working Undercover For Moff Gideon
I love this movie. There are some star wars vibe and dr.strange multiverse vibe.
And kang doesn’t have his full powers in the quantum realm
I expected someone to be MODOK in the thumbnail… won’t say who 😂
I have the book “Look Out for the Little Guy.” I need to read it asap.
And to think the whole ending of the movie could have been avoided had kang only held up his end of the bargain
Have you guys watched Yellowjackets? If not I really think you should, the second season just ended
Are you guys going to be reacting to the new guardings movie
You betcha!
Bro really said "That's the biggest we have ever seen him when he is smaller than an atom :|
Guys watch Loki next. Highly recommend
Well I mean ya'll can just watch the Loki series because it's an actual good show.
Ant-Man is also known as giant man and this movie shows why.
Yes she’s from walking dead and she’s from the Kenobi series
She was part of the fraction of Negan’s group that Maggie took as prisoners they were the ones that were tied up with that long hair guy that killed herny’s older brother
It's a shame Marvel is replacing Kang as their next villain after the whole Jonathan Majors deal, 'cause he was the best parts in Loki and Quanumania for me!
They've got boards with nails in them!
My problem with this movie is that we are told that kang is this all powerful villain, but we aren’t shown that power.
We are told that kang has beaten hundreds of avengers, including thor who is a god, and he has a whole advanced army with technology far superior to anything else known in the universe, and yet he gets defeated by an army of ants and antman
even not by antman.. more like by disney female power..
Well that's why he was exiled to the Quantum Realm, so he couldn't utilize his power. Still think it was a big mistake that they killed him here though; that's where they definitely screwed up as a result.
Why show when you can just say? How else is the viewer suppose to discover this? By actions? Get a hold of yourself man!
U want to see all of his power in his first real appearance?
@@TheIcemanthomas people don’t understand that kang is not dead and he is coming….
You have to watch Loki!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please it's the best of all of them. It's the core of the new Marvel phase.
I think The Oak has an amazing job of helping animals ☺️😎🆒
This movie actually lose money in the box office because many people didn't like it
Woo hoo let's goooo guys
Not related to Marvel but if you guys are looking for more animations to react to I highly suggest Megas XLR.
Please add the Legend of Korra, Patriots Day, Captain Phillips & Project X to your schedule!
im with Diamond Dave with this. plus Thor love and thunder was so bad i couldnt finish it.
Oh yh u guys deffo should watch the shows they’re a part of the continuity and kinda important
Why are ya'll not caught up on all the series who organised this ??!!
Can't wait to watch your reaction to
"John Wick 4" and "Fast X" 💪🍺
I understand this film has its faults but I really enjoyed it. Enjoyed it much better than Thor ragnarok and doctor strange multiverse of madness. Out of phase 4 Shang chi and this have been favorites. This movie is a 7 out of 10 for me. Doctor Strange 6.5 out of 10. Shang Chi 8.5 out of 10. Black Widow 6 out of 10. Spiderman 8 out of 10. Wakanda Forever 6 out of 10. And Thor love and thunder 6 out of 10. Haven’t seen Eternals yet
Edit apparently antman takes place in phase 5 so I think Shang chi is my favorite film of phase 4.
what they really should have done with towards the end was just have kang just kill off ant man and get threw and kill off the wasp and her parents so that we all can be scary and worried about phase 5
Yes for Loki!!!!
Are you guys gonna watch any horror movies soon rewatching the conjuring reaction right now. I recommend the annabelle series theyre pretty good!
Have you guys seen the Insidious?
I didn't go to see this as I had the feeling that it was going to be disappointing. Now I know. I'm mostly tired of the whole "multiverse/save the universe" storylines. Even from this truncated version the plot holes are just too big. Character development is much more interesting than special effects. Marvel was built on personal angst and development along with so-so and great villains.
that chick that looks jacked up and you thought was from Walking Dead 7:16 that chicks also in Mando Season 3
You have to see Loki!👍👍
"There's a lot of variants"
...variANTS?
If you guys like Horror movies You guys have to watch quarantine Best Found footage horror movie ever
I'm good with the movie's. It's a super hero movie just like all of them. Will see what happens because apparently some fan's that are fans of the movies and comics..I guess they don't like the multiverse. That's why they did it in the comics and the movie's because the comic's weren't sailing look into it
"I have 🕳s!!😌😌"
Unfortunately this is one of my least favorite mcu movies. I was so excited because of the trailers and then felt massively let down. A lot of it has to do with there being no character development for the characters and Kang being built up as this huge threat when he was defeated so easily. I think this didn't know if it wanted to be an Ant Man movie (funny, light hearted and not largely tied into the wider mcu) or an Avengers movie (huge threats and huge stakes and consequences).
