Spot on and that is a very important point! one MTV video director said he was producing this horrible Pretty Boy Floyd cover song- they were all wearing white suits and had fans blowing their hair around and he was like; This SUCKS! What has happened to Metal R&R? Then GnR released AFD. The amazing thing is the songs are almost all single takes done at 2-4 AM! Crazy!

As he used to say it was My Song, due to some of the Relationship speed bumps I was goin through at the time!! 😂 I Kno it's about Axels dog but the song fit!! Great Bar Times =p
My favorite musical intro ever. This album changed music. It took things to another level just before grunge hit, and still amazes people. Axel's ability to change the way his voice sounds along with Slash's insane ability was something we had not heard before. Every one of these songs on this album was so different, and so good.
Mr brownstone is code for black tar heroine. My mom got the tapes for me when I was five I stared listening to guns n roses at 2 and I'm 36 now and have lost friends to addictions n stuff so it's always a reminder of them before during and after...and it's helped me grieve

Love your reactions guys. Always look forward to your next one and it’s good you both keep an open mind. I’m a big GnR fan and on the flipside I’m a huge Wu Tang fan. Also check out “Watch This” and “Safari Inn” which are Slash’s instrumentals only.
From a musical standpoint this was in a sense the 'Bo Diddley Beat' - similar in structure to a blues song brought into the 80's with GNR's additions. If you feel the solos by slash and the lyrics you'll feel that if you transported yourself into an older style blues song you'd be in the same venue. Key hint - the very end
This is my favorite Guns N' Roses song, the only other song of theirs that I like almost this much is "You Could Be Mine", which is a monster guitar song.
