Axl is incredibly talented. His lower register is indeed not as widely famous as his high pitch notes, or rasp, but his lower register is actually Axl's natural singing voice - he is a baritone :) In July 2022, Axl had vocal cords damage & he still went on stage & did what he could, but he also apologized for the lack of high pitch, at the time. I thought it was awesome though, to be able to hear more of his lower register, than we usually get a chance to :) There are a few examples (you may need to break down some GnR songs, to pick out Axl's lower register, because he usually goes right back to high pitch, lol) where you can really enjoy his lower register. Some of which are easier to focus on, from the album recordings (I know you prefer live performances. I am suggesting this, in case you are interested in exploring Axl's vocal abilities, further). Some more examples for Axl's lower register are: So Fine (Live in Tokyo 1992) - focus on the beginning of the song. It's So Easy. Patience (Live In Tokyo) - there are a few high notes, but Axl uses a lot of his lower notes, here. Don't Cry - try to check out the album recording. Axl sings the lower notes, while Shanoon Hoon (may he rest in peace) sings some of the higher notes, despite Axl's few times of higher notes, too :) Don't Cry alt version is also very good. His vocals are godawful now. I heard him in Boston year before last. The band should be ashamed for charging people to hear him. He needs to be paying the audience to listen to him.

He also still has his rasp, despite him using it less & more carefully than he used to in the 80;s & 90's. I am sorry that you did not enjoy his performance & the band itself. I do not think the band has anything to be ashamed of, it is Axl's band & people who pay to see them Live in concert, do so willingly. Thanks for your nice reaction!! Axl always preferred to start the show off in a lower voice. That made it easier for him to warm up his voice for the rest of the show. So it was 'It's so Easy' and 'Mr. Brownstone'. I saw this show 3 weeks later in my country. Absolutely smashing and mindblowing!! I'm not a real Mr Brownstone-fan either, but this one from Japan is not the best one. There are much better versions. 🤗
I played guitar for 9 years from ages 12-21. Could never get into a band, because the guitar slots were already filled with bands needing bassists and drummers. Switched to bass, and had my first band offer before I even had the instrument down lol. It was a lot of learning as I went, and the band had like 7 Guns N Roses songs in their setlist. I quickly learned that Duff McKagan is an underrated bassist lol. This song was one of them, and yeah, I agree that Mr. Brownstone is not one of their better songs, but it was fun to play. I have to give it that. Duff does not write boring basslines.

They wouldn't let us in long story short a riot broke out I ended up not seeing the concert Rebecca I was listening to led Zeppelin last night and I never heard the name of this song it's called hot dog Robert plant Elvis so just saying if you ever want to do a reaction on that it was a 1980.
