Written by their most prolific member, Izzy Stradlin (the guy in newsboy cap). He later left the band which it's considered as beginning of their demise.
While Izzy is awesome & no one is taking anything away from him, I do not see it as a "demise". When Izzy had left GnR, it was a change in the band. Sure, it had affected the band, but GnR are still out there, they are tight, happy & very successful. I am very much looking forward to GnR's next tour. In my humble opinion, that is not what "demise" looks like.
Izzy was important. He wasn't the band, however. The band always stood and still stands, on the shoulders of Axl and Slash. It's still GN'R without Izzy, it isn't GN'R without the big men.
@@kerenolivero7097lmfaooo even when guns disappeared in the mid 90’s they had segments on where Axl is, a lot of people actually wanted guns back there where few that thought there 80’s stuff wouldn’t stick but we know with what velvet revolver what could have actually came.

While they were recording the double albums 'Use Your Illusion' 1 and 2 the label wanted to keep them relevant. They re-released a "live" demo along with a handful of acoustic songs on it. It was called 'G-N-R Lies'. This was one of those songs ...another one was called 'I Used to Love Her'. That's a great song, especially when you understand the meaning behind it.🤘
Guns N Roses Appetite For Destruction is no doubt one of the best complete albums ever made.. Not a single bad song on the whole album.. collectively top 10 best 12 song rock albums ever..with that being said it was their last great complete album..others had some ok, some good, and some great. Axle had kinda a unique voice that fits his songs..and with that being said AC/DC would probably sound better retired than with Axle as lead vocals
This is one of the first songs that I fully learned how to play on the guitar. Hard to explain the great feeling you get when you play along to a track and hear the chords and notes that your playing is harmonizing with the track.
This song will always hold a special place in my heart. It got me through a tough time when me and my spouse were doing the long distance thing. It felt like the long distance thing would never end and it was oh so painful. We had this song to get us through those tough times. Here we are 37 years later, still together and still going strong. Thank god for this song!! Still listening in 2024 and always will. Love it!!
Two things I'll always love about this video: 1) Duff randomly taking the breakfast tray to the reception because it's *such* a Duff thing to do 2) Slash completely ignoring all the half-naked girls. 😂 Also, I always say that seeing Slash's face is like seeing the sun on a cloudy day.
This song was my undoing. Thus was the song that let you know every bad boy had a sweet vulnerable side to them. I have never went for the good boys and this is the reason why😂❤
Slash is the coolest person in history. He always has somewhere else to be but he has to leave his cool imprint on this video first. Edit: You can get a good look at his face in the November Rain video. He said he used to hide his face because of stage fright. But then it just developed into his thing.
Only time I ever saw gnr live was the use your illusion tour co headlining with metallica and gnr had the orchestra there at Williams price stadium in Columbia
Check out GNR live in Tokyo, especially "Don't Cry", "November Rain" and "Rocket Queen" it was a killer concert and they were perfect live at that time, with absolutely wonderful, sexy and vocally powerful backup singers
First off love the new studio. As for the Slash vibe it comes from his black mama lol Ola Hudson was a designer for a lot of stars in the '70s, including the likes of David Bowie.
Hey Britt - I think I've found a British band that NOBODY on TH-cam has ever reacted to! It's a band called AMAZULU & they had some great songs, all in the nu-reggae or calypso kind of grooves - a sorely overlooked band! Hits include: Too good to be forgotten, Excitable, All Over The World, Moonlight Romance, Cairo, Montego Bay... Go on, I dare you to be the first!!! :-)
GNR Ballads: Patience, November Rain, Prostitute, Don’t Cry, Sweet Child, So Fine, Yesterdays, Since I Don’t Have You, Street of Dreams aka The Blues, This I Love, Estranged, Catcher In The Rye, and possibly Breakdown which is freaking amazing. Take a listen
Yeah they do another couple of nice little feel good ballads you could check out. I used to love her, and One in a Million. Such beautiful romantic songs......😅
Oh, Britt, I'm so happy you finally saw the beauty called Saul Hudson, who just so happens to BE a Brit. Born in London, Cali raised. That man is fiiiine af, I agree there. It took so long to get a good look at his face when you finally did its breathtaking. Wait til you see his smile. Whew...🥰🤭🔥
BR: Guys do they have a lot of music like this? G: No, they do not. This was written by Izzy, so if you want to hear anything similar, maybe try listening to his solo stuff- Izzy Stradlin and the JuJu Hounds, an album released a few years after leaving GnR.
every rose has it's thorn g&r is their best ballad believe me.... also the way you said OH! when you turned back and saw the girl stripping made me laugh so hard:)
This I Love, from Chinese Democracy album released around 2008? It's after the band broke up so it's just Axl with new musicians. This song is just haunting th-cam.com/video/aOkiG53ituQ/w-d-xo.html
I really love your reaction to GnR one of favourite band. I love Slash sound and unique presence on stage. I'd like to see your reaction to November Rain official video. I find it a very masterpiece. Thanks for your awesome work on the Tube.
Not really a fan of theirs, but this is one of the best songs They ever did. And I should have stuck with their ballads. Like most hair, metal bands should have... That formula really worked for all of them? They could really do some great Ballads That struck a chord with people.
I’ve always thought Axl should have gone solo when he couldn’t get along with the band …leaving the strained/physically taxing vocals behind …reinventing himself …creating piano ballads like a darker Billy Joel …it would have had a better shelf-life than the lengthy hiatus and the trying to be 1993 three decades later

this is my favorite GnR song which says a lot. When Axl wanted to write a ballad, he absolutely nailed it every time.

I still have all three of those on cassette tape! GNR lies is probably my favorite
A ball of hair and a cigarette is the funniest description of Slash I've ever heard
Over 30 years later and Slash is still FINE!
It’s one of the two or three songs that make them legends.

The Producers:
“We got a track to lay down guys!”
Slash
“ You got 5 minutes…”
😂
My favourite GNR song reacted to by my favourite TH-cam reactor!! I'm good for the year now!!
The album was a really quick project. They all sat in a circle and just played. Magical moment
They have a whole acoustic album. It’s called lies. I love it.❤
only 1/2 of Lies is acoustic
@@rhinno1969 oh yeah, that’s right.
Four live tracks, four acoustic tracks (iirc)
You should check out guns n roses .. i used to love her😂😂👍👍
"It's so soft. I love it." 'November Rain ' is just soft, but longer with multiple Slash solos
My vote for viewing November Rain next!!!!
Yes GnR has quite a few ballad songs. November Rain is a huge song.
Don't cry 1 & 2
One in a million
Slash aka Saul da sexy has always been a mystery wrapped in big hair wrapped in all kinds of beautiful!
He straight up whistles a Blues solo.

When she stopped it right as Axel came in with my favourite part of the song to say that Slash was hot 🤦♂️
She was barely listening just had a dirty mind trough the song lol.
Thanks for the reaction. I thought you'd enjoy seeing a different side of them 😊

Hands down my favorite GNR song!!!
LOVE this song!
Slash is officially a two time PDC member
This was one of my favorite songs of theirs along with paradise city, welcome to the jungle, sweechild o' mine, civil war, November rain
makes my head think "Winds of Change" by Scorpions..... the whistle does it for me!
Ive seen Slash a few few times in interviews and he didnt have hair covering his face. But i cant remember ever seeing him without the sunglasses

I'm not an Axl fan but I LOVE this song, which is kind of unplugged.

They have 3 other ballads you should check out if you have not.
1. Dont Cry
2. Its Alright
3. November Rain
It's Alright isn't by GnR
Simply awesome!!
One word Yes
This was so awesome, I have been waiting for more GnR reactions on your channel & you had made my day :)
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
As the Church Lady says: We really do loves ourselves, don't we.
Slash mmmm hmmmm me too girl❤
Love the new studio Britt.
