I am only looking for handheld capability and don't really need to connect to a tv, would a lite still be good? Don't really have the budget for an OLED or V2
Honestly the Lites are great. The best console for portability, and at the price point they are fantastic. You can pick up good condition second hand ones for not much too.
It’s not as travel friendly as a Lite. I can get a lite in my pocket. Again my comment to your last post, At every point I say buy an OLED if money is not a problem.
With the new retro remake oled panels for the lite almost ready to being shipped out my plan is to take a lite mobo out of a poor condition lite I have, place it in an extreamrate shell + buttons, install Hall effect sticks + mod and oled screen cus as much as I love my oled, I think the smaller screen and smaller body of the lite is just better for handheld.
Im going to be making this exact video. I’ve got the on order the panel, hdmi mod, hall effect sticks, clear black shell and im going to stick a mod chip in it too.
Im getting a Switch 2 day one. Although i think it’s basically just gonna be a Switch Pro. But Nintendo’s first party games have been great so I think that’s enough. I would have liked some form of gimmick though like 2 screens so they could bring 3ds games to NSO. What about you?
IMHO better to buy V2 for personal modding. This is much easier.
I guess it depends ok you experience level.
Oled’s are more of a pain, but it’s the beat version of the console if you play handheld.

@QTronics alright, thanks!
Agree oled modded is the best but the process to solder is quite pain in the ass considering the point is so small.
It really is, $80-100 dollars for it isn’t too bad now if you can get a deal on a good second hand one.
And wdym not traveling a lot ? The switch OLED is still travel friendly

Really excited to see where Nintendo is gonna go with the next Gen of the switch. What do you think?
